Question 1

How do I get from the airport to Villa Nautica Maldives?

Accepted Answer

Villa Nautica Maldives (formerly Paradise Island Resort) is located in North Male Atoll, approximately 15-20 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport. No seaplane is required — the speedboat operates without daylight restrictions, accommodating any international flight arrival time including late-night arrivals. The transfer is smooth and staff as very polite throughout. On arrival, guests receive a cool cloth and a lovely glass of juice. An island orientation is provided by the customer relations advisor Amine, who explains all amenities, the all-inclusive package and the island layout. notes their room was not ready until 2pm despite arriving at 8am — the all-inclusive package itself starts and ends at noon, so a very early morning arrival means a 6-hour wait before the room is accessible. There is also an option for a late evening transfer to the airport for departing guests, which is praised as a practical logistical benefit. Tip: If arriving very early in the morning, notify the resort in advance to arrange an early check-in or a holding room for freshening up — specifically describes arriving at 8am to a 2pm room allocation as a disappointing start to the stay, and proactive communication before arrival is the most effective way to manage this expectation.
