Fantastic stay. It was our second visit to the island and not our last
Vorteile: All meals were really good. Food prepared fresh every day and always hot, Beach was amazing and the rooms very comfortable
Nachteile: The pool table was charged at $2.99 per game (I dont play pool, it was an observation) and bottled water was only one per room. Extra water charged at $5.00, Water was also charged at the dining table. I think water should be included and this resort is charging a premium rate to stay. Same for the pool table, only a small charge, but really should be included in the price of around $500.00 per day

Vorteile: Noch nicht abgehoben!! Nicht zu viele Wasserbungalows! Grüne und intakte Natur, direkt bei kristallklarem Meer-Wasser! Schöne Geamtanlage mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung und sehr guter Küche!!
Nachteile: Die blöden aufgetackelten Russenchätzlis, welche den ganzen Tag nur mit sich selber und ihrer bodenloser Dummheit beschäftigt sind!!

A beautiful quiet island to relax on
Vorteile: First of all the organising to get to and from the island by seaplane is excellent. The staff are all friendly and cheerful. The deluxe villa I stayed in (18) was wonderful. The bed was so comfortable, with a mosquito net. I loved the outside shower and the water pressure was excellent. The air conditioning was necessary and did a marvellous job as it was so humid. The villas were placed just enough apart with two sunbeds close to the water to make you feel like you're in your own little paradise. Each villa is allocated its own table in the dining hall with the same waiter to serve drinks and clear the table. It was then a buffet service where you walked around choosing your own dishes from the vast wonderful selection. There was always something I could feast on and the service was very good. I'm not a strong swimmer so didn't really snorkel much but did see some lovely fish. The upkeep of the island to keep it looking so lovely is impressive. Each morning someone would be out sweeping the sand and gathering up fallen branches and leaves. They did a lovely job. I was looking for a quiet few days and that's what I got.
Nachteile: Everything was as I hoped it would be. Alas I am a magnet to mosquitoes but there's nothing that could be done about that apart from be totally sprayed day and night. The still managed to find parts I hadn't covered! I did struggle with the humidity so thankfully the air conditioning in the villa was superb.

An authentic gem with an amazing reef
Vorteile: The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed).
Nachteile: The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.

Es war schön, könnte aber mit wenig Aufwand besser sein
Vorteile: Die Insel hat ein wirklich tolles Hausriff bietet schön und zweckmässig eingerichtete Bungalows. Kulinarsch wurden wir sehr verwöhnt und das täglich wechselnde Bufet war qualitativ sehr hoch stehend. Auch die Tauchschule Werner Lau ist gut organisiert und wir waren gut betreut.
Nachteile: Sobald man in den hinteren Teil der Insel kommt, also ab Tauchbasis liegt dort sehr viel Müll herum. Plastiksäcke, Dosen und allerei Unrat welcher schon ewig da zu liegen scheint. Auch der Pfalnzenbewuchs ist teils sehr ungepflegt und bietet den Moskiots ideale Brutplätze. Um der Mückenplage Herr zu werden, wurde die Insel täglich mit Insektizid grosszügig eingenebelt. Das Management sollte zur Insel mit Pflege etwas mehr Sorge tragen.

Vorteile: Hyvä yksityisyyden takaava hotelli, majoituimme Deluxe-huvilassa. Valitsimme hotellin koralliriutan vuoksi, olemme kokeneita snorklaajia. Osalla rantaa on hyvää kovaa korallia runsaine kaloineen, mutta vain kerran viikon aikana tuulen, aallokon, virtausten vuoksi oli mahdollista rauhassa snorklata em rannan osuudella, mikä kyllä palkitsi.
Nachteile: Jkv pitkä kävely saaren ravintolaan, jos on alaraaja ongelmaa.

Vorteile: Wir hatten die Villa 119 nachdem wir die Villa 127 verliessen, weil sie sehr abseits liegt. Von der Villa 70 bis Villa 120 hat es einen Sandstrand. Dies gibt es noch bei der Villa 1 - 30. . Bei den anderen Villen ist das Meer bis zu den Palmen vorgedrungen und hat sie teilweise unterspült. Leider ist der Strand mit vielen Korallenstücke übersäht, sodass man hinschauen muss wohin man seinen Fuss setzt. Die Villen sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber okay. Einzig die Matratzen waren für uns zu hart. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. An der Küche gibt es nichts zu bemängeln und sie bot ein ausgezeichnetes Essen für jeden Geschmack. Leider war das Meer bei unserem Besuch sehr unruhig, sodass ein gemütliches Schnorcheln nicht sehr gut möglich war. Auch ist das Hausriff schon ziemlich beschädigt.

Nachteile: Personnel non accueillant, non professionnel , mal formé et désagréable surtout à l’accueil et au restaurant principal. Pour la douche il faut attendre au moins 10 ,15 mn pour avoir de l’eau chaude avec très peu de débit. Le wifi ne marche qu’à la réception. Beaucoup de perte de temps. Le buffet est peu varié. À 9 h 30 tout est rangé.Il faut se lever tôt pour les vacances. C’est pas cool

Nachteile: لاتوجد مطاعم وكافيهات الجزيره بعيده جداً تقريباً ساعه لاتوجد فيها فعاليات للسكوتر والمراكب والسياكل والدوما فقط الغوص. وخدمة الجزيره لاتوجد خدمة الأكل وتوصيله للغرف والمطاعم غاليه نوعاً ما ولايوجد لها تنوع بالاكل ماعدا المطعم اللي على حوض السباحه ايطالي وهندي يقدم اكل جيد ، تجلس فالجزيرة يومين او ثلاث فقط ..

Vorteile: absolutely everything - the site is breathtaking, lodges are lovely (we had 2 superior villas #97-98, this side of the island is ideal as the reef drop-off is only 20m from the beach and it’s like swiming in a tropical aquarium), buffet food is great and varied. Service was really kind and professional (👏Salim). We did a lot of snorkelling but there ate many options for sea-diving with the super helpful staff at the dive center.
Nachteile: if there should be one thing, charging potable water at the restaurant (about 7$ per bottle). Understand that they need to desalinate / remineralize seawater and it comes at a cost but this could be easily easily included in the overall lump sum room price.

Райское место за разумные деньги.
Vorteile: Райское место за разумные деньги. Перелет из Мале на гидроплане можно рассматривать как отдельную экскурсию, все было организованно быстро и без проблем. В отеле жили в вилле на пляже, особенно понравился душ под открытым небом. Отель не новый но в этом случае скорее плюс так как территория очень зеленая со взрослыми пальмами. Особенно хотим отметить густонасёленный риф. Выходили на пляж и плавали в аквариуме. Персонал выше всех похвал, всегда готов был помочь и оказывал максимум внимания. 8 кг морской окунь после удачной рыбалки был приготовлен совершенно бесплатно.
Nachteile: К сожалению  мы были всего 9 дней.

Vorteile: The Beach is exceptional as Filitheyo has quite a big island compared to some luxury islands in the area. The reef and marine life is much better than at some resorts in the area.
Nachteile: The Villas and whole facilities need refurbishment. Staff seems not be very motivated at some times and is complaining in front of the guest. Island should become more sustainable and switch to solar. A great chance for this island to invest and become one of the best resorts.

Un paraíso en la Tierra. Un arrecife de coral lleno de vida a tan sólo 6 metros de la orilla.
Vorteile: Un paraíso en la Tierra. Un Hotel cómodo, sin pretensiones, con cabañas individuales de madera muy bien integradas en la naturaleza; ubicado en un atolón con uno de los mejores arrecifes de coral de Maldivas a tan sólo 6 metros de la orilla. He estado haciendo snorkel toda la semana con mis dos hijas, alucinando con los peces, las tortugas, las mantas y los tiburones (ningún peligro). He hecho un par de inmersiones de submarinismo (la gente del diving club encantadora), pero me quedo con las sesiones de snorkel en familia que no olvidaremos jamás.

Nachteile: Не понравилось, что нельзя заказать еду в номер. Номера немного староваты и то что душ, туалет и платяной шкаф полностью на улице тоже немного не привычно.

would go back tomorrow - highly recommend (especially for snorkelling)
Vorteile: perfect location for snorkelling/diving - house reef is amazing and just 20-30m off the beach. island isn’t too big so not a lot of people but big enough to take a walk around for 30mins. staff were great. it’s got the best bit of a resort but without the fake/forced feeing you sometimes in get resorts. what you see is what you get.
Nachteile: I wish they offered breakfast on your room balcony even if it’s basic because sitting in the same table for 3 meals a day is too repetitive for me- we ended up buying lunch several days at the sunset bar just so we didn’t have to go and sit at the same place.

Calme, reposant et des fonds marins très très bien !
Vorteile: La restauration et la plage sont très bien. Les fonds marins sont les plus beaux que nous ayons fait (3 iles différentes) : des bancs de poisson splendide, une variété de poisson vraiment très grandes, requins, tortue, raie...vraiment une ile pour les adeptes du snorkeling.
Nachteile: On voit que tout l'établissement de l'ile est un peu vieillot, surtout les chambres mais ça va pour le temps qu'on y a passer :-)

Vorteile: A reef a sziget körül nagyon szép, a sziget maga szép, gondozott.Jó a nagyságú a medence,onnan nézhető a naplemente.
Nachteile: Hiába kértük, és ígérték, hohy a naplementés oldalra tesznek, nem tartották be az ígéretüket. Iker bungallók vannak, sajnos egy vékony fallal elválasztva csak a szobák egymástól.Minden áthallatszott, este éjszaka még jobban.Nagyon nem volt jó.Nem működtek konektorok.

A piece of paradise on earth...
Vorteile: Filitheyo is a piece of paradise. If you like snorkelling, this is one of the best ones I've seen in my life. You will be isolated in the middle of the ocean, with the peace and quiet that comes with it. The staff goes out of their way to help you. Loved it!

Vorteile: Все понравилось, подробнее ниже. По порядку для русскоязычных. При бронировании стоит учитывать - сверху цены идет местный курортный сбор + трансфер на гидросамолете (около 400-450 долларов с человека). Трансфер был устроен идеально - туда и обратно ждали не более получаса. Если вы берете завтраки + ужины, то любые напитки (даже вода на ужин) идут за деньги. В барах есть Happy Hour (по 2 часа когда все напитки со скидкой 50%). ПЦР-тест в отеле стоит 100 долларов, так что при прочих равных лучше берите прямой перелет Аэрофлотом. На острове много котов - привезли с собой корм и кормили их. Советуем и вам. Из развлечений - дайвинг за 120 долларов, снорклинг сафари - 40 долларов. Снорк эквипмент стоит - 1 доллар в день за маску и 5 долларов за ласты в день. По поводу проблем с водой в других отзывах: были при большой загрузке и ни разу не испытали каких-то проблем с водой. Номера убирают каждый день. Возьмите с собой разменные доллары - много поводов давать на чай, в том числе человеку, который ходит вдоль пляж и предлагает порубить кокос. Риф великолепный - берите экшн-камеру, чтобы снимать свое плавание. Стоит понимать, что отель 1999 года постройки, есть некие мелкие проблемы, связанные с розетками, водой и тд, но вы и для того летите так далеко, чтобы отдохнуть. В целом - великолепный отдых вдали от людей и цивилизации: только океан, пляж и пальмы. P.s. По all-inclusive: за всю неделю так и ни разу не столкнулся с ситуацией, что не хватало того самого "все включено". Наверно это подойдет людям, которые хотят много напитков употреблять каждый день. За 7 дней с походами в бар и оплатой напитков на ужине сумма переплаты составила 120 долларов, что не сравниться с переплатой за "все включено". Ну и лайфхак: на завтраке можно спокойно брать с собой еду и фрукты на обед и устраивать отличные ланч на берегу океана. Что мы и делали :)
Nachteile: Научить барменов делать обычные коктейли. Даже самые простые коктейли получаются плохо. Практически каждый день брал пиво.

Остров с отличным рифом.
Vorteile: Основной и, пожалуй, единственный козырь этого курорта, это отличный коралловый риф. За последние два года я побывал на рифах ещё пяти мальдивских курортов и лишь риф у северного побережья Филитейхо могу назвать коралловым садом. Так что, если для Вас очень важен риф, советую не жалеть денег на дорогой трансфер и наплевать на фактическое отсутствие горячей воды на курорте. Кроме кораллов, на рифе много различных рыб. Из крупняка видел черепах, два вида акул и скатов-орляков. Крупняк рекомендую смотреть на рифе за водными виллами, но кораллов там почти нет. 90% посетителей курорта составляют немцы. Отличный шведский стол в ресторане. На ужин, из бесплатных напитков только чай или кофе. Воду не дают, что учитывая изложенное ниже не страшно,- можно принести из номера. Чайник с чаем можно попросить долить кипятком. Дополнительно, на завтрак есть соки. Ночью есть москиты, но их не много,- привозите спрей с собой. В номере есть всё необходимое,- сушилка для белья, сейф (не привинчен), электрический чайник, сахар, пакетики с чаем или кофе. Душ вделан в стену и лейки на гибком шланге нет. Странная, раздельная противомоскитная сетка над кроватью с двумя матрацами и одной общей простынёй. Входная дверь защёлкивается,- не забывайте выходя ключ! В центре острова непролазные джунгли. С краю, в них персонал скидывает растительный и не только, мусор собранный при уборке территории.На острове живут гекконы,небольшие игуаны, летучие лисы и различные птицы.Гидросамолёт ждали в аэропорту четыре часа. Радует, что обратный трансфер был организован достаточно чётко. Основная проблема этого курорта, это безусловно, проблема с водой.Мощьностей при полной загрузке отеля явно не хватает. Такое я впервые вижу на мальдивском курорте.В ресторане, для приготовленния блюд и напитков используется опреснённая вода. Такую же воду, наливают в стеклянные бутылки и выдают в бунгало по одному литру на человека в сутки. Впрочем, если Вам этой воды не хватит,- не беда.Можете смело налить в бутылку воду
Nachteile: из под крана.Гарантирую, что вкус будет абсолютно одинаковый,- то есть, он будет одинаково противный.Я, на всякий случай, дополнительно кипятил всю воду для питья. Теперь, ещё о воде в кране.Напор холодной воды очень неравномерный и, как вы понимаете, о напоре горячей воды вообще говорить не приходится. Утром или вечером её либо просто нет, либо она течёт из душа струйкой толщиной с мизинец. На четыре номера, то есть на два спаренных бунгало один водонагреватель установленный на крыше одного из них. Днём, с большой долей вероятности, Вам всё же удастся помыться тёплой или даже горячей водой. Если Вам очень хочеться помыться утром или вечером, то позвоните на стойку регистрации и скажите, что нет горячей воды.Минут через 10 вода появиться и придёт человек от отеля что бы в этом убедиться. Далее, у Вас есть 5-10 минут чтобы помыться, пока вода из горячего крана не иссякнет.Бунгало расположены относительно друг друга ступенчато.С одной стороны это хорошо,- не видно террасу соседнего бунгало. Но если Вам не повезёт с расположением, то внешний блок кондиционера на стене правого бунгало будет тарахтеть Вам прямо на терасу.Если открыты окна, это тарахтение прекрасно слышно днём и ночью даже на кровати и звуки волн его не заглушают.Впечатление такое, что находишься не на курорте, а на заводе на берегу моря. Это самый многолюдный курорт из тех где я был.На пляже, в поле зрения находится человек 30.К тому же, ещё и персонал весь день, а не нолько ранним утром, как это принято на других курортах, всё время мотается перед бунгало, - сгребает листья, возит тележки с утварью для уборки в номерах или с кокосами на продажу.Приватности это совсем не добавляет. Ещё, есть предложение к администрации курорта, - перпендикулярно пляжу, плотно посадить от боковых стен бунгало полосы кустов и/или деревьев на расстояние 3-5 метров от крыльца.Тогда, народ не сможет постоянно мотаться перед бунгало непосредственно у террасы.

Vorteile: Риф замечательный, длинной с полкилометра (легко доступная часть и ещё в три раза больше если есть ласты ) мелких рыбок насчитано всякие привсякие, видели акул, черепах три вида скатов, мурен, осьминога, рыбу камень, наполеона, да много кого)))…. каждый день кого-то риф показывал). До края рифа от пляжа плыть 15 метров… очень легко и удобно. Течение слабенькое вдоль рифа, ложишься на живот и медленно плывешь полкилометра как на травелаторе в океанариуме))) На острове живут красивые летучие лисицы 🦊 и раки отшельники… Есть место для эффектной фотографии с наклонённой пальмой 🌴 Есть хороший пляж мелкий для детей и не плавающих. Ресторан очень вкусный. Домики одинаковые, но есть подуставшие, есть получше… если домик не понравился , попросите и Вас переселят без проблем. Цена обеда от 40$ на человека, цена бокала пива 8$, коктейль 🍸 15$, вино бутылка от 40$, докупить на месте до олл инклюзив 100$ на одного человека за одни сутки. Так что сами рассчитывайте если нужны обеды или любите выпить))) посчитайте может выгоднее заранее коюзив взять. Персонал внимательный. Это 4 ка - не пятерка, значительно дешевле пятерки, но зато полноценный Мальдивских отдых вы подучите, прекрасное море, уютные домики с индивидуальными лежаками, все домики равноценные с видом на пляж и море 🌊
Nachteile: Неудобные кровати и подушки. Территорию все время убирают подметают, и в Целов все чисто и аккуратно, но много мест (там где туристы в основном не ходят) где горы кокосов и пальмовых листов ну и не опрятно получается. Думаю руководству отеля надо взять это на заметку, портит впечатление от отеля.

Nachteile: 직원들, 특히 식당 서빙 종업원들의 지나친 관심과 우리 딸에게 장난을 치는데 거슬리고 기분이 편하지 않았다. 우리는 가족과 프라이빗한 시간을 보내고 싶었다. 고객이 먼저 호출하지 않는한 그들이 우리에게 굳이 말을 걸지 않기를 바란다. 그리고 고객의 국가 언어로 어설프게 인사를 하는 등 불필요한 장난은 하지 말아야한다.

Just arrived on this island in paradise. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Such a beautiful place for a special holiday with friends. Definitely worth the long travel time from United Kingdom. We are all inclusive and looking forward to making the most of that.

Lovely resort, very peaceful, just like paradise. I stayed in a beach bungalow and it was only a few meters to the sea. You have an allocated sun bed for your property which is very comfy but very heavy to move. The sea is beautiful, the reef and fish are stunning. You only have to swim 5-10m from the shore to be over the reef. I managed to see both white and black reef tip sharks and rays whilst snorkelling. It is also nice to watch them swim from the jetty.|The food is lovely, with plenty of choice and a good quality. The service in the restaurant was great, Sakibul my waiter was very polite and looked after me well.|The bungalow is lovely, with a very comfy large bed. At first it seemed weird having the shower outside but I loved the idea once I arrived.|The only issue I had was the sea plane transfer upon departure. This is not the fault of Filitheyo, but after such a relaxing week I felt very stressed. The accommodation organises your pick up time with the sea plane company based on your flight details. They were very late in picking me up and I just got to check in at Male 45 minutes before my flight for the UK departed, I was very lucky that it had not closed. If I was to visit the Maldives again I would consider returning to Male the day before my flight to not have all of the stress with a late sea plane. There was no apology for the late running, just a lot of unnecessary stress.|All of the staff are very friendly. Guests seemed predominantly German, I seemed to be the only English guest. Lovely resort that I would definitely return to.

Excellent food, excellent staff, very nice island, very nice reef. a few disppointments... the superior villas are adjoining to each other, which is ok... but there is a communicating door between the 2 appartments (absolutely useless, I have never seen that in the Maldives) and the walls are probably made of paper. You can actually hear everything from your neighbours. I mean everything. the deluxe villas are probably a better choice, they are individual. we actually witnessed a drowning... (I was part of the rescue team). the people from the rescue boat (one of them was a boy probably 13-14 years old) were not trained at all. no coordination at all from them, they did not know what to do at all, they kept the drowned person head in the water almost all the time. It is not their fault but they were obviously not trained to do a rescue. a lifeguard would be ideal. Or at least some indications about the currents (they were very strong sometimes) would help and maybe save lives. a big thanks to Mahbub who took care about our bungalow and also Rauf who was an absolute professional at the reception and also at the whaleshark trip we had... he made the trip great ! thanks a lot Rauf!

Im November 2023 waren zum fünften Mal auf den Malediven und zum ersten Mal auf der Insel Filitheyo und ich kann sagen, dass wir jetzt unsere perfekte Insel gefunden haben! Die Lage top und zum schnorcheln einen Traum! Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Das Essen war gut, ein wenig mehr Abwechslung wäre wünschenswert jedoch haben wir immer etwas leckeres gefunden. Die Beachbungalows sind nicht sehr luxuriös aber gemütlich und grosszügig eingerichtet …der zugängliche wunderschöne Strand direkt vor der Tür! Alles in allem eine perfekte Insel um zu geniessen, zu schnorcheln und die tolle Natur der Malediven zu bestaunen. Der einzigste negative Punkt war, dass das Wlan total überteuert angeboten wird, auf der Insel gibt es nirgendwo einen gratis wlan Spot…. Tipp: am Flughafen kann man für 50 Dollar eine SIM Karte kaufen die uns für 2 Wochen längstens gereicht hat…

Siamo stati a Filitheyo Island Resort una settimana, un piccolo paradiso in mezzo all'oceano. Il resort è meraviglioso, proprio come si vede dalle foto. Lo staff è estremamente gentile e disponibile per qualsiasi cosa. Abbiamo soggiornato nella water villa, immersi nella barriera corallina, dove si ha la possibilità di vedere tantissime specie marine. Il cibo è ottimo, dalla colazione alla cena è possibile gustare tantissime portate diverse, assaggiare tante pietanze orientali, ma anche altrettante internazionali, per assecondare i gusti di tutti. Assolutamente consigliato!

Loved the natural beauty of the island, that it was not picture perfect on all sides is also the charm. The big beach was wide and gorgeous with beautiful tall palmtrees, the lagoon beach a bit worn by the ocean and rough weather this season, but nicely private. |The food choice was excellent and of good quality , lots of fish, veggies and very good curries, also a lot of European style food choice for those who prefer that. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly, as everywhere on the island. Very good experience with the dive center, a lot of diving possibilties right on the island and by boat as well. Had lovely baot dives and a night blue light dive on the housereef. We loved the corals on the reefs, saw way more coral life in this atoll than at others, also rich and abundant fish life. Sharks, groupers, napoleons right on the house reef, beautiful corals and nice reefs on the boat trips. Friendly and professional staff at the dive center, we felt very save as we have been diving for only two years and after our padi licences now need to make real diving miles. |Villas were better than we expected, loved the spacious open air bathroom with seperate toilet area and the big four poster bed and nice quality wood furniture. Airco, fridge and hot water all worked well. The weather was not the best during our stay but we had a great time, did the night fishing, island hopping, diving and relaxing with a cocktail or at the spa. Beach bbq was lovely. Def would love to go back to this island!

Went here as a couple in May 2005 and decided to go back with the teenage kids.||It was absolutly brilliant in every respect. The accommodation, food, service, bars, beach, the dive school, the island itself, the atmosphere - absolutly perfect and just what I expected the Maldives to be. We really, really, didn't want to come home!||It was simply magical.||Most praise should go to the staff. The communications in advance and the service whilst there was second to none - everyone from reception, bar staff, waiters, boat crews, grounds staff, dive staff. Brilliant!

An amazing resort, just right for what we wanted. We visited during the quieter season so very few guests on site at the time. Weather was great, a few showers during our second week but it didn’t stop us doing anything. House reef straight from the beach was fantastic. We saw turtles and sharks daily along with an abundance of different fish and corals. |We stayed in the over water villas. It was very noisy due to some high tides but the privacy of the villas was just right. Yes, the water villas are in need of some refurbishment. |We stayed on an AI packages. Meals were varied and our designated waiter was very entertaining.

Wir waren im Juli 2023 da. Abenteuerlich war schon der Flug mit dem Wasserflugzeug. Muss man erleben. |Filitheyo… Traumhafte kleine Insel, wenig Touristen. Unsere Hütte war direkt am Sandstrand und wenige Schritte vom Meer entfernt, einfach traumhaft. Man kann die Insel locker in kurzer Zeit umwandern. Wir waren die ganze Zeit barfuss unterwegs. Der Sand nicht zu heiss, auch nicht kalt. Wir empfehlen eine Massage direkt am Meer zu buchen. Das Essen war jeden Tag ein Genuss, sowas hatten wir noch nie erlebt. Auch die Haifütterung war sehr interessant. Unser Zimmer war schön und das Bad offen, auch sehr speziell. Das Highlight war aber jeden Abend der Sonnenuntergang. Was ein Traum…

Wir waren im Dezember dort und haben es sehr genossen. Es waren sehr schöne Ferientage. Das Schnorcheln war grandios, auch wenn es leider einige Stellen am Hausriff gibt, die sehr kaputt sind. Die Halbpension war für uns völlig ausreichend. Das Buffet morgens und abends ist sehr gut und umfangreich. Die Getränke sind recht teuer, was zu erwarten war. Anbei mal die Preise zur Info. Ein Liter Wasser am Tag ist inklusive. Jede weitere Flasche kostet ca. 4,5 Dollar. Das Internet kostet ca. 125 Dollar für eine Woche. Man kann auch Tage- oder nur Stunden buchen. In der Bibliothek gibt es einen PC, den man kostenlos nutzen kann, z.B. um die Ausreiseformalitäten (imuga) zu erledigen. Insgesamt können wir Filitheyo sehr empfehlen.

My husband and I booked a water villa for our anniversary and had one of the best holiday. Water villa was heavenly. Fishes swimming around us as we enjoy tea on our private sundeck Resort has a wonderful house reef and we planned to have our first ever diving experience here. Best choice that we made! Two magical experiences - First, Ramzan guided us through night fluo dive. His instructions were so helpful to make it thorougly enjoyable inspite of neither of us being great swimmers. Infact I was uneasy, to begin, with snorkeling gear and fins but he gave us so many tips that I was almost a fish by the end of evening! The night dive in itself was beyond words! Must have experience for anyone. Next day Matja, the diving instructor, took us for deep diving. Again, she was so precise in her instructions, so thorough that we had not one single issue through the entire dive inspite of it being first dive of our life! Witnessed some miracles of underwater world... Also must mention Reema and Wiwik - who gave us 90 min of pure bliss in spa room. Reema was so good that without any mention she recognized my back week areas and my aches vanished like they never existed! We are vegetarian and the restaurant manager and chef made sure to cater to us and kept checking upon us to ensure we were enjoying our meals. Jaish was our server in restaurant- at mere 19 yr he was the youngest of all staff and yet so professional and warm. He shared lovely personal stories and even photos he clicks - photography being his passion. Shakir took care of keeping our villa clean and fully stocked up at all times. Again, always happy to go an extra mile to be of help. Overall, an unforgettable holiday, thanks to wonderful location, facilities but most of all the staff.

We got ourselves a water villa via RCI and the experience was enchanting from first step. ||Gaurav was our man Friday, and took care of everything from bookings to anniversary plan!!||The resort is only accessible via sea plane ride - a memorable experience in itself.||There was a welcome massage given and it was magical from me personally- I had a little stiff back from previous weeks injury. I didn't mention it to the girl but not only did she pick it up but the pain vanished after the massage! ||The villa itself is spacious, well equipped and kept clean and maintained. The sundeck gave the natural infinite pool view. Most wonderful corals and fishes were right below our villa. We can snorkle all day long!||We are vegetarian and the staff took note of it to cater to us and came to check upon us every day in restaurant to see we were happy with options. ||There's diving center onsite and we have booked ourselves for resort dive as well as night snorkle.||Other than that, there's TT, darts, and lot of other activities to.indulge besides soaking in the nature...||Will recommend to anyone.

A friendly welcoming resort, with great staff and an amazing setting! |The food although buffet style was exceptional and all freshly cooked - the daily sashimi a highlight for us. |The house reef was fabulous, we usually entered near gate 8 and the marine life was phenomenal.|The bungalow we stayed in was semidetached- the majority were like this, we were fortunate in that we had no neighbours for 6 nights, so felt more private.|The two bars were comfortable, only slight downside on the all inclusive was that the cocktails were a little limited.|It’s because of the bungalow and the drinks we only score Filitheyo 4 stars - but make no mistake the whole holiday experience and the value for money make this a resort we would 100% return to! |If you want fancy and glitz this is not the resort for you - but if you are happy walking round with no shoes and a relaxed vibe, then go for it!

Nous étions dans la villa supérieure n°39, à 50m de la piscine à débordement et du sunset bar. L'emplacement était donc parfait. Vous faites à peine 30m depuis le bord et vous nagez dans un aquarium géant: magnifique!!! Tour le personnel est extrêmement gentil et attentionné. Les repas sous forme de buffet sont de très bonne qualité et très variés. Bref je ne peux que recommander le Filitheyo Island Resort.

Que dire car ce voyage a été un rêve...|Même pas besoin de descendre dans l'eau pour avoir un aquarium à ciel ouvert. Pour les amateurs de snorkeling, il y a juste à descendre de la villa sur pilotis pour voir les poissons (requin blanc à pointe noire, raie,Picasso....)|Niveau restauration rien à redire non plus même les desserts qui souvent sont un point noir dans beaucoup de voyages sont bons... un grand merci à abdulla qui a été notre serveur et qui est au top (pour info votre table est la même pour tout votre sejour avec un serveur dédié)|Nous étions sur pilotis et niveau nettoyage, l' homme de chambre passe deux fois par jour pour faire le ménage.|Bref c'était top et s'il faut donner des défauts ça serait qu'il n'y a qu'un pseudo magasin de souvenirs donc quasi inutile et que le personnel ne parle pas français (abdulla notre serveur connaît quelques mots et fait l'effort de parler les mots de bases et rien que ça merci à lui).|Autre avis vis à vis des défauts, ne pas y aller avec un enfant en bas âge ou pour des PMR car cette destination est vraiment une destination pour adultes et incompatible pour les PMR.||

Wir waren nun zum 5ten mal auf Fili. Unser letzter Besuch ist allerdings bereits 10 Jahre her. Im Grunde haben wir uns auch wohl gefühlt. Allerdings wussten wir das auf der Insel keine größeren Instandhaltung durchgeführt wurde. Die Bungis sind zweckmäßig und groß genug. Allerdings wird es jetzt echt mal Zeit die Inseleinrichtungen komplett zu sanieren. Angefangen mit den Holzveranden der Bungis und ganz wichtig die Bäder. Alles ziemlich abgenutzt und nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Auch die Holzstrandliegen die zu jedem Bungis gehören müssen erneuert werden. Diese sind alleine vom Gewicht kaum zu bewegen. Im Hauptrestaurant sollten dringend vernünftige Stühle bereit gestellt werden, da man an diesen viel zu tief sitzt und der Tisch zu hoch ist. Auch die Inselwege sollten mal wieder ein paar Schüppen Sand sehen, da ein wirkliches "Barfuß" laufen eher ein ewiges gepiekse ist. Im Grunde wird auf der Insel immer nur das nötigste repariert. Zum Restaurant sei noch gesagt, das das Essen für unseren Geschmack nach wie vor sehr gut ist. Aber hier scheiden sich oft die Geister. Die Geschichte mit dem Thema W-LAN bzw. WiFi ist auch nicht mehr zeitgemäß in meinen Augen. Es besteht in der gesamten Anlage kein Free WiFi !!!!! Es muss Datenvolumen sehr teuer gekauft werden. Sollte auch bedacht werden. Schnell mal ein paar Bilder verschicken kann echt teuer werden. Allerdings kann die Insel mit ihrer Ruhe und keinerlei Animation echt punkten. Auch das Hausriff ist zum schnorcheln und Tauchen sehr gut. Hier sollte beachtet werden das die Bedingungen hierfür jeweils von der Jahreszeit abhängig sind. Sicherlich sind die Sichtweiten von Ende Januar bis Ende April auf dieser Insel etwas besser. Hierauf sollte man achten wenn darauf großen Wert gelegt wird. Abschließend sagen wir, wenn die Insel nicht renoviert wird werden wir mal was anderes auf den Malediven ausprobieren.

Filitheyo ist eine wunderschöne Insel, schöne Bungalows, sauberer Strand. Auch die Gastronomie ist nicht zu verachten. Man bekommt quasi alles, was das Herz begehrt. Auch bei vielen Besuchern gleichzeitig klappt es mit der Bedienung super. Man hat eine top Auswahl mit europäischer Küche, wie auch mit den lokalen Essgewohnheiten. Man kann also sehr gesund essen, wenn man denn will. Von Pasta, Fisch, Geflügel, Lamm, Rind, Kartoffeln, Gemüse findet mal alles, was das Herz begeht. Das Personal, angefangen vom Roomboy, den Bartendern, Rezeption, dem Servicepersonal beim Essen, bis hin zu jenem fleissigen Leuten, die täglich die vielen kleinen Wege vom Laub befreien, einfach alle top. Ich denke, es gefällt ihnen auch, auf dieser Insel zu arbeiten. Ich würde wieder auf diese Insel gehen.

Хорошую 4!|Отдыхали в начале октября на супериор вилле, считаю самое удобное расположение, нежели на делюкс виллах, там нет такоего мягкого спуска в воду, у нас было минимум ветра и волн. ||Номер: ||Огромная кровать с балдахинами, прикроватные тумбы, софа, телевизор на камоде, столик с креслом, будуарный столик, зеркало, стул, кондиционер. Русских каналов нет. Номер достаточно просторный. Много света. Полуоткрытый санузел. Отдельно туалет. Две раковины, душ под открытым небом. Два шкафа. Фен. Холодильник с минибаром. 8 бутылочек всякой разной газировки каждый день входят в олинклюзив. Кофе, чай, сливки, чайник. 2 бутылки воды в день. Шампунь, гель для душа, лосьон для тела, мыло, шапочка для душа, ват палочки, диски, все есть. Идеально белые полотенца, большие пляжные полотенца. Халаты. Зонтики. Прекрасная терраса с креслами и столиком. ||Прекрасный коралловый риф в нескольких метрах от номера. Разнообразие рыб порясает😍|Стало жарко на пляже-два шага и ты в номере под кондиционером, прекрасно) ||Персонал доброжелателен. Все, кого встречаешь на пути, садовники, повара, уборщики, бармены, менеджеры улыбаются и желают доброго дня. ||Еда выше всяких похвал! Завтрак самый скучный из всех приёмов пищи, особо не разгуляешься, но выбрать есть что. Итак, что обычно на завтрак: прекрасные вафли, панкейки с добавками шоколад/мед/джем. Фрукты, меняются, что то сегодня, другое завтра. Что здорово, их нарезают при тебе, максимально свежее из холодильника. Также микс фруктов/ягод. Очищенный кокос. Десерты, всегда разнообразные круассаны, булочки, кексы. Хлеб всякий разный, можно поджарить, масло. Курица "с дымком" вкусная, ростбиф, ветчина, бекон, сосиски. Финики, сухофрукты, иогурты и мюсли. Соки всегда разные свежесделанные. Каша овсяная. Омлет/яишница/варёное яйцо, делают при тебе с добавками. Всегда есть скрэмбл, тосты в яйце, фасоль в соусе.Сыр пару видов, каждый день разный, помидоры огурцы не вкусные, пластмассовые как у нас в несезон. Куча соусов. Лепёшки. На горячее каждый день что то новое, не много, но выбрать есть из чего.|Обед:  что то есть всегда, например, паста, огурцы, помидоры, листья салата, что то меняется каждый день. Несколько блюд с рыбой, несколько с говядиной, несколько с курицей. Что то острое, что то с карри. Очень разнообразно. Всегда разный суп, салаты каждый день новые. Мороженое тоже не повторялись вкусы, на обед и ужин два вида мороженого. Обязательно попробуйте пасту! Это отвал башки! Наполнение на выбор: креветки, кальмары, рыба, курица, перец гриль, соуса белый красный. Это нереально вкусно! Ела каждый день! Так же фрукты как и на завтраке, десерты новые постоянно, их не много, вот например сегодня 4 тортика, чёрный лес с вишней, лимонный пай с меренгой, ягодный чизкейк, пирог с яблоком -ну они все объедение! Отдых пенсионерский, сразу предупреждаю, ни дискотек, ни музыки, ни анимации. Тишина и покой. Только шум волн, птиц. Интернет платный! Даже на рецепции. 124$ за неделю. Есть дартс, бильярд и тренажёрный зал! ||Идеально красиво. Чисто. ||Входит поездка на острова и на рыбалку. Мы на рыбалке были, очень понравилось. ||Берите маски, коралки, ласты, побольше крема от солнца. ||Вдоль домиков ходят парни с тачкой, можно взять у них кокос, бесплатно) ||Отель поражает своими видами, идеальными пляжами, вкусной едой, заботливым персоналом, тишина и спокойствие. Обязательно вернёмся!

Estrutura grande e no bom "rustic-chic style". O recife de corais logo à frente dos bangalôs é fantástico, repleto de corais e peixes de cores, formas e tamanhos variados. O ponto que precisa de uma forte melhoria é a alimentação. O resort cobra um Plano de Alimentação bastante caro para ter Café da Manhã, Almoço e Jantar, mas o Buffet é sempre "mais do mesmo", com predominância de pratos extremamente apimentados. Ouvi vários turistas europeus reclamando disso. Outra questão é que os empregados do resort só falam inglês (com forte sotaque) e a comunicação com eles é difícil. Para finalizar, o carregador de bagagens exigiu gorjeta de forma constrangedora. Achei que esta prática já estava em desuso em resorts.

Fui en agosto del 2018 y recuerdo que me robaron 150 euros de la habitacion ya que no lo habia puesto en la caja fuerte, fui a reclamar y me dijeron que no habia camaras de seguridad y que ellos confiaban en su personal... encima la limpieza dejaba mucho que desear, en varias ocasiones nos encontramos cucarachas dentro del baño. Tampoco habia internet , tenias que pagarlo a parte y no llegaba a las habitaciones, relacion calidad precio muy baja, no se lo recomiendo a nadie y no volveria a ir ni aunque me regalaran la estadia

We loved it here! Celiac (gluten) and dairy allergies in our family, no problem. The chef told us what was safe to eat at almost every meal, and we had a lot of options! The included fishing trip was so much fun, and our kids still want to go fishing because of it. Not many kids on island, so ours were like celebrities and had the best time! We talk about this trip at least once a week, and it’s been nearly 3 months since we were there. Seriously amazing!

Nach meinem ersten Besuch im Jahr 2005 war ich nun zum 2. Mal auf Filitheyo. Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub! Nach 18 Mal Malediven habe ich viele Vergleichsmöglichkeiten, und Filitheyo ist sicherlich sehr weit oben in meiner Liste der besten Inseln. Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Essen einfach großartig - wir sind Vegetarier und mussten nicht einmal auf das Pastagericht zurückgreifen, weil es so viele (spannendere) Alternativen für uns gab. Die Küche hat uns auch angeboten, weitere Speisen für uns zuzubereiten, falls uns die Auswahl nicht genügt. Wir hatten Halbpension, was uns vollkommen gereicht hat - ja, die Preise für Getränke sind relativ hoch, aber wenn man die Bar in der Happy Hour besucht hält sich das echt in Grenzen, und nachmittags haben wir uns auf mitgebrachte Snacks beschränkt. Die Bungalows sind einfach, aber sehr sauber. Das halboffene Bad ist einfach toll! Klar, es ist nich alles nagelneu, aber fü uns war es vollkommen in Ordnung. Vielleicht könnten die Auflagen für die Liegen mal erneuert werden, aber das sind Kleinigkeiten. Das Riff ist leider sehr kaputt, wie überall auf den Malediven, aber ab und zu sieht man auch schon wieder bunte Korallen. Unser Schnocheltipp ist die Riff-Spitze hinter den Wasserbungalows, da kommt wirklich alles vorbei (Schildkröten, Haie, riesige Schwärme Fledermausfische, Barrakudas...) und die Sicht ist immer perfekt! Das wird sicherlich nicht unser letzter Besuch auf der Insel gewesen sein - Danke noch einmal an das ganze Filitheyo-Team!

Wir hatten als Flitterwochen über Alltours die Insel Filitheyo gebucht. Wir reisten mit nur einmal kurz umsteigen auf die Insel. Nach ca. 3 Tagen hatte meine Frau am Morgen nach dem Aufstehen einen undefinierbaren Ausschlag der sie die komplette Zeit plagte, die Nächte kurz machte und den Aufenthalt im Wasser sehr einschränkte. Die letzten Tage war auch ich betroffen. Das Housekeeping und die Rezeption wussten keinen Rat und Hintergrund. Einen Arztbesuch gibt es auf der Insel nicht. Nur 5 Stunden nach unserer Landung in München waren wir bei unserem Hautarzt. Dieser attestierte eine Infektion mit sog. Krätz-Milben (Scabies). Eine Krankheit die in Deutschland eher nur unter Nichtsesshaften verbreitet ist. Völlig überrascht von dieser ungewöhnlichen Diagnose informierten wir sofort das Management auf der Insel und Alltours. Die Reaktion war im Resultat trotz ärztlichem Attest völlig ablehnend. Wir als Urlauber seien in der Beweispflicht dass wir uns diese Hautinfektion im Hotel geholt hätten. Dass wir nirgends anders waren als nur auf Filitheyo interessiert sowohl das Management der Insel als auch Alltours in keiner Weise. Keinerlei Einlenken oder Wiedergutmachung für ziemlich versaute Flitterwochen. Bei fast 10.000,-- Euro für ca. 2 Wochen hätten wir uns einen anderen Standard erwartet. Schade für die sonst schöne Insel und das absolut freundliche Personal. Daher für uns nur 2 Sterne.

Номер.|Мы приехали в начале июля и жили в супериор вилле. Этот тип номеров находился на другой стороне острова от одинарных вилл. Нам повезло, с нашей стороны не было ветра и волн. Недалеко от нашего номера, можно было войти в море, не волнуясь, что наступишь на кораллы||Коралловый риф.|Мы пробовали как снорклинг, так и дайвинг. Коралловый риф большой, много разных рыб, встретили даже морских черепах.||Персонал.|Персонал очень приветлив. С самого начала мы погрузились в потрясающую атмосферу райского острова. В первый же вечер море встретило нас тысячами огоньков. Это светящийся планктон пригласил нас насладиться волшебным островом. ||Еда.|Еда выше всяких похвал . Всегда свежий улов рифовой рыбы,сашими из тунца , свежие фрукты, особенно вкусная папайя, изысканные десерты. Хочу еще раз сказать спасибо персоналу за ежедневный сервис и заботу .

Meine Partnerin & ich sind mit dieser Reise das erste Mal auf die Malediven gereist - die Entscheidung mit Filitheyo war sehr gut.|Am ersten Tag spielten wir ein wenig Frisbee am Strand/im Meer & sahen als wir nach dem Frisbee im Meer griffen, eine Koralle... danach holten wir die Tauchermaske & wollte einen kurzen Blick in die Unterwasserwelt wagen - WOOOW... was wir dort alles wundervolles entdeckten hätte ich niemals geglaubt - das in unmittelbarer Nähe vom Strand.|Obwohl man die Insel in ca. 1 Stunde umlaufen hat, wurde es uns nie langweilig.||Das Einzige, was wir ändern würden, wäre von VOLLPENSION zu HALBPENSION zu wechseln. |Wir wurden sehr gut verwöhnt, mit vielen leckeren Speisen & guten Cocktails.||Danke an das ganze Team von Filitheyo Island Resort das ihr uns eine unvergessliche Zeit geschenkt habt | 24.05. - 03.06.2023 // Room # 44.

I have traveled to many different places. I did have high expectations on Maldives, this paradise. But I was deeply disappointed by this resort and how the resort was managed. The improper behaviors of some staffs were greatly permitted by the upper management and supported by some white customers. For example: one staff had problems to serve food to my wife with proper attitudes, and the other directly laughed at our native language. If you are not white, strongly suggest you pick other resorts! BTW, the coffee was terrible.

Nous venons de finir notre séjour de 12j dans cette hôtel et c'était juste incroyable . Un voyage inoubliable.||Nous avons séjourné dans la villa supérieur N°62 qui est très bien positionnée pour les passionnés de snorkeling. La villa est magnifique , tans ai niveau de la propreté que au niveau de l'aménagement. Une douche à ciel ouvert au top avec une porte externe afin de ne pas salir la chambre en sortant de la plage . Un lit immense et confortable et une belle terrasse donnant sur la plage . Les villa supérieur sont par pair donc collées l'une à l'autre avec un muret les séparant donc votre bien-être dépendra de votre voisin . Pour notre part ils étaient fantastiques. Nous remercions kamal pour son sourire , sa déco pour notre lune de miel et pour avoir très bien nettoyer la chambre chaque jour . Le bar de la chambre est compris dans le all inclusive et est rechargé chaque jour en soft||Concernant, la nourriture nous étions en all inclusive. Le restaurant est très joli , une place fixe vous est attribué selon votre chambre , un serveur vous est dédié afin de vous débarrasser vos assiettes au cours du repas et de vous ramener vos boissons.Un énorme merci à SALAM pour nous l'avoir fait chaque jour avec un grand sourir . Le buffet est incroyablement bon et varié . Il est différent à chaque repas et il y en a pour tous les goûts . Un grand merci Joël pour ses très bonne pates et Jamal pour son professionnalisme. Les boissons sont à volonté et offre un grand choix de cocktail , pour les fan de café ramener le votre car seul le café instantané est compris dans le all inclusive. Le sunset bar offre un goûter de 16h à 18h30 chaque jour finissant par un magnifique couché de soleil . Merci à hossaine pour son service .||En ce qui concerne les activités elles sont un peu cher selon nous , 145dollars pour le baptêmes de plongée sous-marine, 100 dollars pour snorleking requins baleine , 100 dollars pour snorkeling raies manta sans aucune garantie de les voir. La pêche au couché ou au lever du soleil est à 45 dollars . En ce qui nous concerne c'est le seul petit côté négatif de l'hôtel , tous le reste est juste OUAHHHHH||La wifi est payante dans l'hôtel et cher , nous avons pris une puce internet à l'aéroport de malé . 35 dollars ppur 17GO ou 50 dollars pour 100 GO mais je vous conseil de vous déconnecter car c'est l'endroit idéal pour se recentrer. Toute les personnes présente sur l'île sont très aimable et aime discuter.||Et pour finir ,le plus important, en ce qui concerne le snorleking de l'hôtel. C'est juste incroyable , vous aurez la chance de voir des poissons de toute sorte, des requins, tortue et raie aigle juste en mettant la tête sous l'eau. C magnifique et impressionnant ||L'hôtel est très bien entretenu et nettoyer toute la journée. Un grand merci à tous le personnel pour leur accueil (SUSI), leur bonne humeur et leur politesse .||C'était notre premiere fois au maldives et si nous revenons un jour ce sera sans hésiter dans cet hôtel . Eine schöne kleine Insel zum Seele baumeln lassen. Meine Frau und ich haben dort unsere Flitterwochen verbracht. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und unser Room Keeper sehr freundlich, nett und zuvorkommend, jeden Abend nachdem Essen war unser Zimmer gemacht und es lag eine kleine Überasschung auf dem Bett.(Natürlich hat er auch Trinkgeld bekommen). Wir hatten All Inklusive gebucht , mit einer Halbpension kann der schon sowieso teure Urlaub ein Vermögen kosten. Bitte unbedingt mit All Inklusive buchen. Preise für Cocktails liegen bei ca. 15 Dollar für Wasser, Softdrinks, Säfte im Schnitt bei 7 Dollar, Bier bei 8 Dollar. Das Essen war der Traum wirklich immer frisch gekocht, viel Auswahl und für jeden was dabei. Unser Kellner war hervorragend und wusste schon ab dem 2ten Abend, das ich gerne einen Rotwein zum Abendessen trinke und er hat Ihn mir ohne zu fragen hingestellt. Hier wird wirklich auf die Gäste eingegangen. Zur Anlage, sehr weitläufig, der weiße Sandstrand ist leider sehr korallenbelastet und wirkt auf den Bildern anders als vor Ort. Das war wirklich Schade.... Besonders viel kann man auf der Insel nicht erleben, vor Ort sind bei All Inklusive 2 Ausflüge mit inbegriffen. (Ich darf Nachtangeln und Inselhopping empfehlen). Im Merr haben wir kleine Haie gesehen und weiter draußen auch größere(keine Angst die beißen nicht). Eine Riesenschildkröte deren Heimat die Insel bzw. die Umgebung war konnten wir auch entdecken. Rundum eine Erfahrung wert um Seele baumeln zu lassen für aktive Menschen die was sehen wollen ist es nichts und wenn dann nur max. ein Aufenthalt von max. 1 Woche.

Isola molto bella con vegetazione lussureggiante, dove è piacevole passeggiare e perdersi nei vialetti curati immersi nelle palme. Spiaggia intorno all’isola ampia, ben tenuta e tranquilla, ove è garantita la privacy per tutti .|Le sistemazioni sono molto confortevoli e pratiche in tipico stile maldiviano, dove tutto è in legno, ma ben tenuto. Pratica la zona bagno da cui si può accedere da una porta laterale e impagabile la doccia sotto le palme e le stelle. |Noi alloggiavamo alla 95 che a mio parere fa parte delle camere con migliore posizione ( dalla 73 alla 110), davanti alle uscite reef. Il reef è facilmente raggiungibile con alta e bassa marea e sicuramente il più bello trovato alle Maldive: profondo con qualche corallo in ripresa, ma tanti tanti pesci. |Ristorante di stampo orientale, ma dove si trova sempre qualcosa di buono ( tanta frutta, dolci ottimi e sempre pesce e pollo alla piastra).|Unico neo, per gli amanti degli animali come noi, la presenza di gatti che popolano l’isola: tutti belli e bisognosi di coccole, ma soprattutto di cibo . Ci è sembrato che il personale fosse indifferente alla loro presenza e un po’ più di attenzione sarebbe necessaria per quelle bestioline. Personale locale molto accogliente tra cui lo staff del bar e i giardinieri. Al ristorante più freddi e distaccati. |In conclusione Una vacanza meravigliosa che consigliamo agli amanti delle Maldive senza lusso materiale, ma con il lusso della bellezza e dell’armonia.

Abbiamo scelto Filitheyo per le recensioni sulla barriera e non ci ha delusi.|Soggiorno di 2 settimane in overwater bungalow (costa troppo per lo stato in cui si trova) ma la scelta del luogo, la bellezza della barriera, la varietà e quantità dei pesci fanno passare i pochi aspetti negativi in secondo piano.|Volete vedere una bella barriera corallina? andateci|Prenotate un bungalow superior, lato reef, i migliori sono intorno al numero 60/68 ma sono tutti validi, se si viaggia in 4 è meglio perché i bungalow sono divisi solo da una parete in legno, ma i maleducati si incontrano anche sugli overwater...|Noi avevamo un trattamento AI ma HB sarebbe andato bene comunque.|Portatevi le ciabatte non è un'isola shoe free perché i sentieri sono di sabbia battuta e i piedi fanno male|Portatevi le pinne, la corrente, almeno quando ci siamo stati noi, ha messo a dura prova le ns capacità e resistenza. Affittarle sull'isola costa 5$/giorno, 25$/settimana.|Completano il quadro personale squisito dalla reception al sunset bar.|Erano 13 anni che non tornavamo alle Maldive e il viaggio non ci ha delusi, anzi.|Speriamo di tornarci e di trovare ancora le meraviglie viste, inclusi gli squali di barriera e le molteplici tartarughe sullo scalino del bungalow

Atollo del diametro di circa 2 chilometri con una splendida barriera corallina ricca di pesci di ogni specie. Alloggio molto comodo a due passi dal mare. La notte il sonno può esser disturbato dai volatili che cominciano a gracchiare alle 5:30 del mattino

Ja, richtig; ich war nun bereits zum Dritten Mal auf Filitheyo und wieder kann ich bestätigen, dass meine Kommentare vom 18.6.2022 und 18.4.2018 noch immer ihre Berechtigung haben. Es ist echt schwierig, nun viel Neues zu beschreiben, denn die Insel ist noch immer so, wie ich es mag. Tolles Hausriff nahe der Insel, also top zum Schnorcheln. Es hat manchmal Strömung und wie immer auf den Malediven sind Flossen ein Muss, aber man kann ja auch mit der Strömung schwimmen und zurückgehen. Die Zugänge zum Schnorcheln sind einfach zu beschwimmen, z.B. bevorzuge ich Nummer 6 (sehr kurzer Einstieg) sodass man sich je nach Strömung zu 7 treiben lässt oder zu 5 und dort dann aussteigt. Am Riff sieht man alles was man erwartet und von den meisten hier auch beschrieben wird; Baracudas habe ich allerdings noch nie gesehen (vielleicht auch gut so!)||Das Personal war und ist wie immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Dies gilt für Rezeption, Restaurants, Bars, Housekeeping etc.||Das Spa möchte ich als Highlight erwähnen, denn dort herrscht eine ganz spezielle Atmosphäre! Die Massagen sind sehr gut (professionell) und Lady Isna, die Spa-Managerin, hat die Organisation im Griff; sie ist ausserordentlich nett und natürlich kompetent. Alle Girls sind aus Bali und verstehen ihren Job.||Die Küche, finde ich, macht einen sehr guten Job. Alle Köche auf den Stationen gehen auf die Wünsche der Kunden ein und servieren das was man sich wünscht (etwas Englisch-Kenntnisse sind von Vorteil). Auch bezüglich Hygiene gibt es keine Abstriche zu melden. Wer Asien kennt weiss, dass dies in warmen Gegenden gar nicht so einfach ist, zumal man sowohl mit Wasser und allen Speisen sorgfältig umgehen muss.|Die Auswahl ist, wie hier mehrfach beschrieben, sehr grosszügig, somit findet jeder etwas was ihm speziell gut schmeckt.||Und die Bungalows sind wie sie sind, einfach und etwas in die Jahre gekommen, passen aber gut zum Genre der Insel.||Die Anreise ist zwar etwas lange, aber mittlerweile angenehmer, weil es einen neuen Terminal für die Wasserflugzeuge gibt, wo man sich in angenehmer Kühle aufhalten kann. Es scheint, dass die Organisation der Transfers um einiges besser läuft als noch vor wenigen Jahren; aber klar man muss mit Umsteigezeit rechnen, hat aber seinen Reiz und ist kleines Abenteuer. Die zweimotorigen Transfer-Flugzeuge müssen manchmal Zweischenlandungen einlegen, da einige Passagiere von anderen Inseln aufgenommen oder abgesetzt werden müssen, sodass ein Transfer manchmal 45 Min dauert plus das Boot vom Landeplatz zur Insel 10 Min.|Für weitere Details, siehe meine anderen Kommentare! :-)

Wir waren im März 2 Wochen auf Filitheyo und es war unser erster Aufenthalt auf den Malediven. Wir haben uns aufgrund des gut bewerteten Hausriffs und da keine Wellenbrecher vorhanden sind, für diese Insel entschieden und wurden nicht enttäuscht.||Filitheyo ist ein wunderbarer Flecken und wir haben noch nie so einen schönen Strand gesehen. Türkises Wasser, weißer Sandstrand und Palmen – so wie man sich das vorstellt.||Unsere Anreise war leider etwas holprig, da wir sehr lange auf das Wasserflugzeug gewartet haben (ca 3 ½ Stunden). Das lag wohl teilweise auch am Wetter, bei unserer Ankunft hat es auch geregnet. Somit sind wir ca um 16h auf der Insel angekommen und konnten sofort unseren Doppelbungalow beziehen. Ich habe bereits im Vorfeld über das Reisebüro unsere Wunschbungis bekannt gegeben (Nummern 38-75) und wir haben den Bungi 70 erhalten. Wir fanden es toll da, schöner breiter Strand, super zum reingehen – direkt am Exit 6 und somit hat auch immer etwas getan, da auch viele Schnorchler beim Exit 6 rein sind. An vielen anderen Stellen kann man nicht so gut ins Wasser, da die Korallen bis knapp zum Strand wachsen (bzw der Korallenschutt soweit im Wasser liegt).|Generell liegt am Strand bei den Doppelbungis viel Korallenschutt, deshalb (und wegen der Skorpionfische) haben wir auch teilweise Wasserschuhe getragen. Ist aber nicht unbedingt notwendig, wenn man nicht so empfindlich ist.||Wir hatten auf dieser Seite auch fast immer etwas Wind, was die Hitze erträglicher gemacht hatte. Teilweise war es uns aber zu heiss so dass wir uns Mittag aufs Zimmer verzogen haben. Ist natürlich super, wenn man zum Zimmer nur ein paar Schritte gehen muss.|Super fanden wir auch, dass man auf 2 Wegen in seinem Bungi kommt uns es den Hintereingang übers Bad gibt, das ist wirklich vorteilhaft nach dem Schnorcheln.|Generell fanden wir die Einrichtung absolut ok, die Betten sind mega bequem mit tollen Kissen, es gibt einen Safe (auch wenn dieser angeschraubt werden sollte) und einen Schrank mit Hängern im Badezimmer. Hier befindet sich auch die Minibar.|Bei Ai sind 2 Liter Wasser und 8 Dosen Softdrinks pro Tag dabei. Wir haben nach 2 Tagen 4 Softdrinks gegen 2 weitere Liter Wasser eingetauscht. Wir haben da einfach an der Rezeption gefragt. War kein Problem.|Unser Roomboy war eher von der mürrischen Sorte, auch wenn er immer sauber und ordentlich gearbeitet hat. Dafür hatte ich ein paar echt nette Gespräche mit einem Gärtner aus Bangladesch.||Die Insel ist grundsätzlich eine Barfussinsel, wir hatten aber auf dem Weg ins Restaurant immer Flip Flops an, zum einen wegen der Einsiedlerkrebse uns zum anderen war es hier nachts nicht so gut beleuchtet. Im Restaurant angekommen haben wir die Flip Flops unter den Tisch gestellt, dort braucht man sie wirklich nicht.||Das Essen ist echt lecker!!! Zu Mittag haben wir nie im Restaurant gegessen sondern ab 16h an der Poolbar ein paar Snacks (Ai) genossen. Das Abendessen war der Hammer! Es gibt eine riesige Auswahl an verschiedenen Curries, Fisch und auch Fleisch (Lamm, Rind oder Huhn) – nichts davon war todgebraten auch das Sushi und vorallem die Nachspeisen megalecker! Wer sich hier nichts findet ….. also für uns war es mit das beste Buffet das wir bisher hatten. |Zum Frühstück gab es (bis auf Schinken, bzw Wurstsorten vom Schwein) auch alles was das Herz begehrt, äußerst leckeres Brot, Früchte, Eier in allen Varianten und leckere Donuts.||Auch bzgl. der Getränke waren wir sehr zufrieden; der (im Ai enthaltene) Gin war sehr lecker und es gab ein original Tonic. Auch die Cocktails waren wirklich super und man kann sich auch in einem Mocktail eine Spirituose geben lassen. Also die Ai-Karte ist absolut ausreichend.||Mit im Ai enthalten sind 2 Ausflüge (Auswahl aus 3en). Wir waren beim „Morning-Fishing“ und beim „Island hopping“. Beide Ausflüge würde ich bei Ai auf jeden Fall machen, jeder war fürs ich super. Ich zB möchte im Urlaub auch wissen, wie die Einheimischen wirklich leben und mich von der „Hotelblase“ etwas entfernen, darum war das super. |Auch das Fischen! Anfangs war ich nicht so überzeugt, aber es war dann wirklich super, wir haben viel gefangen, die Crew war sehr nett und es ist einfach mega wenn man Abends dann den Fisch essen kann, den man gefangen hat.||Das Personal war (bis auf ein paar kleinere Ausnahmen) wirklich super freundlich und sehr viele konnten wirklich sehr gut Englisch. Unser Kellner im Restaurant (Ibraim) spricht sogar mehrere Sprachen sehr gut.|Wir hatten etwas Schokolade mit und haben die mit dem Trinkgeld gemeinsam verteilt. Wir hatten schon den Eindruck, dass das Personal sich darüber gefreut hat. Wir wurden teilweise sogar nach Schokolade gefragt ;).|Bitte immer Trinkgeld hergeben, die Leute haben es sich echt verdient, die arbeiten den ganzen Tag, sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. ||Zum Strand selbst hab ich ja schon was geschrieben, nun zum Schnorcheln. Kurzum: ein Traum! Wir haben soetwas noch nie gesehen! Unabhängig davon, dass hier soviel los ist unter Wasser, sieht man immer wieder etwas Neues und kann wirklich Stunden im Wasser verbringen. Bitte immer mindestens ein normales T-Shirt tragen, die Sonne dort ist echt stark.|Wir hatten das Glück gleich am ersten Tag eine Schildkröte beim Schnorcheln gesehen zu haben. Während unseres Aufenthalts und fast täglichem Schnorcheln sind noch einige Haie, Muränen, Drückerfische, Rochen und sonstige Fischis dazugekommen.|Wir sind meistens beim Exit 6 rein und – je nach Strömung – Richtung 5 oder 7 geschnorchelt. Hier ist es auch am Schönsten.|Die ersten drei Tage nach unserer Ankunft sind jeden Tag um die Mittagszeit einige Delfine von der Poolbar Richtung Exit 8 die Riffkante entlang geschwommen! Ein Traum!||Der einzige Punkt der mit etwas Bauchschmerzen bereitet hat, war das Haie füttern. Ich gebe zu, es ist natürlich super zum beobachten, wenn die Hai und der große Rochen so nahe am Strand sind, aber die Gäste dann noch dazu zu forcieren, diese zu berühren, finde ich bedenklich. Wir haben einen weiblichen Gast gesehen, die den Rochen wirklich jedesmal wenn er bei ihr vorbeischwamm berührt hat (gefühlt um die 30 Mal) – muss das wirklich sein?||Und dann möchte ich noch eine kleine Warnung aussprechen; ich habe bereits im Vorfeld erfahren, dass es hier wohl tlw Probleme mit Raupen gibt. Das war auch bei uns wieder so. Morgens auf dem Weg zum Frühstück sind immer wieder Raupen an langen fänden am Weg heruntergehangen (zum Großteil werden die vermutlich vom Personal entfernt, aber immer ist das halt auch nicht möglich; wir hatten auch mal eine auf der Liege am Strand) und mit diesen Raupen sollte man auf keinen Fall in Berührung kommen. Die haben fiese Haare und können starken Ausschlag verursachen. Ein Gast aus einem anderen Bungalow hat das leider zu spüren bekommen und sie hatte einen Ausschlag am ganzen Körper. Damit sollte man nicht in die Sonne, dh eher unlustig und soll wohl auch sehr jucken. Daher bitte – immer aufpassen – und eventuell eine Salbe bzw Allergietabletten mitnehmen, der Arzt ist nur mehr selten vor Ort. ||Zur Abreise: wir hatten am Vorabend ein Schreiben auf der Terrasse. Hier wurden alle Zeiten aufgelistet und morgens gab es auch einen Wake up call.|Wir wurden (leider) wirklich spät abgeholt – wir haben um 7h die Insel Richtung Wasserflieger verlassen und hatten dann noch einen Zwischenstopp auf einer anderen Insel wo wir 2 Gäste mitgenommen haben. Somit waren wir ca um 9h (samt) Gepäck am Flughafen. Check in Ende war um 9:15 – der Flug ging eine Stunde später. |Da man in Male nicht in den Flughafen kommt ohne durchleuchtet zu werden (und dafür gibt’s natürlich Schlangen), war das echt sportlich. Wir wurden aber bereits am Wasserflugterminal von einem Flughafenmitarbeiter empfangen, welcher uns durch die Fastlane gebracht hat, sonst hätten wir vermutlich unseren Flieger nicht erwischt. Nach dem Check in – Passkontrolle – nochmaliges Durchleuchten. Eigentlich wollte ich gern noch etwas Shoppen, aber als das alles erledigt war, wurde unser Flug schon geboardet. Sehr schade, auf der Insel selbst gibt es nicht soooo viele Souveniers zu kaufen.||Fazit: Ein Traum! Wir sind sehr froh, diese wunderbare Insel für unseren ersten Maldivenaufenthalt gebucht zu haben und können sie absolut weiterempfehlen!|

Wir sind mit unserem Jüngsten (inzwischen sieben Jahre alt) schon zum zweiten Mal auf Filitheyo und nach wie vor begeistert! Die Insel ist dank des direkt vom Strand aus erreichbaren Hausriffes perfekt zum Tauchen und Schnorcheln, aber auch zum Baden oder einfach nur am Strand liegen und Genießen. Für Taucher ist interessant, dass Filitheyo die einzige Hotelinsel in diesem Atoll ist und die Tauchplätze deswegen nicht schon überfüllt sind, wenn man hinkommt. Besonders gefällt uns aber, dass die Insel nicht "über-luxurifiziert" wurde, wie das bei anderen Inseln oft der Fall ist. Wir zumindest brauchen auf den Malediven weder Süsswasserpools in Olympiaabmessung noch drei verschiedene, klimatisierte Sternerestaurants! Das Baden im Meer kann kaum schöner sein als hier und das Buffet im großen, offenen Restaurant lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Bungalows sind geräumig und sauber und das Personal äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wer die Schönheit der Malediven in gepflegtem, aber nicht übertriebenem Luxus genießen möchte ist auf Filitheyo genau richtig!

FILITHEYO Review. Short version. This was our tenth visit to the Maldives and sixth different island. Initially I was unsure what to make of the resort but as the days went by I became more at home with it and ended up liking the place. Not quite as high a standard as Villamendho or Hirihi but cheaper than those islands. The mosquito bites took the edge of things but everything else was very good. Pathways were clean as was the beach. The reef did have strong currents on some days but is full of fish and lots of hard and soft corals. Shark, turtle and eagle ray were regularly seen. We stayed in a Superior Room which was plenty big enough, very clean and situated just off the beach. The food was as good as we have had anywhere in the Maldives, excellent. The Sunset bar is staffed with hard working and cheerful people and is a good place to hang out with the sun setting. The guests were mostly German with the odd Europeans and a few English couples. Wi-Fi provided by the hotel is very expensive and you are better getting a SIM card at the airport. Would I go again? Yes, I would but there are undoubtedly other islands just as good that we need to explore. Detailed version. This resort is cheaper than some others and that is reflected in the standard. Having said that don’t let that put you off. It is a clean island with refurbishment continually taking place, not that you’d notice immediately. The island – Paths are swept daily and some are a little thin on sand whereas others have plenty. There is plenty of shade along the paths. Flip flops would be a good idea. We did see people in barefoot and others in flip flops. The restaurant is a no shoes area. Mosquitoes were active even though they sprayed each day. The Reef – Only about a third of the island is suitable for snorkelling. The other two thirds consist of strong currents, rocks/coral and you are advised not to snorkel in those areas. The current is the strongest we have encountered in the Maldives, so you just need to be careful and keep an eye in which direction it is flowing. We encountered large numbers of fish on the reef which included Reef Shark, Eagle Rays, Turtles, Moray eel and numerous other fish. There are a large number of hard corals and a few soft ones which all look healthy. We don’t dive so I can’t help you with that, only to say there is a Dive Centre on the island. Room – We stayed in a Superior room which had an outdoor shower, toilet and double basin set up. This area was looking a little tired and needed a refurbishment to compete with the other resorts. We had a very large firm bed which was very comfortable and came with 4 pillows and mosquito net. Each room has a free digital safe. The housekeeper (Lateef) did an excellent job and kept everything very clean. The room is equipped with a kettle, tea and coffee but no milk. There is also a small fridge in the wardrobe!! Miscellaneous – There is no evening entertainment. On some nights a waiter takes fish scraps and feeds the waiting Nurse Sharks. You can even join in. There is still water provided each day to your room. There is no sparkling water though. The resort uses the UK three pin sockets, so no need for extra plugs. There is a small shop on the island but don’t rely on getting what you need from there. It does sell postcards and stamps. To hire a snorkel was $1 per day. Wi-Fi costs $250 for two weeks!! Food – This was excellent and as good as any we have had in the Maldives. If you cannot find something to eat and enjoy then it’s you and not them! Buffett style meals with plenty of choice and different ice-cream each meal. Tuna station, Pasta station, dessert section, salads, curries and more. Trips – There are some trips on offer, mainly fishing trips. We did the Snorkel Safari which takes you to three different reefs. It cost $42 each, but we didn’t see anything different.

Everything about the resort is first class, the staff are amazing, friendly and so happy in their work. The food is wonderful so much choice and the menu in the sunset bar is brilliant, 5 stars to the no one chef. If you want total quiet and a chill out holiday this is the place for you. The accommodation is lovely every day they bring you 2 litres of water fresh towels , coffee and what ever you need. Your room can be cleaned as much as you want just put the sign on the door. The waters are brilliant for snorkelling and it has the most gorgeous infinity pool. We are returning again next January it’s total heaven.

Just arrived on this island in paradise. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Such a beautiful place for a special holiday with friends. Definitely worth the long travel time from United Kingdom. We are all inclusive and looking forward to making the most of that.

Lovely resort, very peaceful, just like paradise. I stayed in a beach bungalow and it was only a few meters to the sea. You have an allocated sun bed for your property which is very comfy but very heavy to move. The sea is beautiful, the reef and fish are stunning. You only have to swim 5-10m from the shore to be over the reef. I managed to see both white and black reef tip sharks and rays whilst snorkelling. It is also nice to watch them swim from the jetty. The food is lovely, with plenty of choice and a good quality. The service in the restaurant was great, Sakibul my waiter was very polite and looked after me well. The bungalow is lovely, with a very comfy large bed. At first it seemed weird having the shower outside but I loved the idea once I arrived. The only issue I had was the sea plane transfer upon departure. This is not the fault of Filitheyo, but after such a relaxing week I felt very stressed. The accommodation organises your pick up time with the sea plane company based on your flight details. They were very late in picking me up and I just got to check in at Male 45 minutes before my flight for the UK departed, I was very lucky that it had not closed. If I was to visit the Maldives again I would consider returning to Male the day before my flight to not have all of the stress with a late sea plane. There was no apology for the late running, just a lot of unnecessary stress. All of the staff are very friendly. Guests seemed predominantly German, I seemed to be the only English guest. Lovely resort that I would definitely return to.

Excellent food, excellent staff, very nice island, very nice reef. a few disppointments... the superior villas are adjoining to each other, which is ok... but there is a communicating door between the 2 appartments (absolutely useless, I have never seen that in the Maldives) and the walls are probably made of paper. You can actually hear everything from your neighbours. I mean everything. the deluxe villas are probably a better choice, they are individual. we actually witnessed a drowning... (I was part of the rescue team). the people from the rescue boat (one of them was a boy probably 13-14 years old) were not trained at all. no coordination at all from them, they did not know what to do at all, they kept the drowned person head in the water almost all the time. It is not their fault but they were obviously not trained to do a rescue. a lifeguard would be ideal. Or at least some indications about the currents (they were very strong sometimes) would help and maybe save lives. a big thanks to Mahbub who took care about our bungalow and also Rauf who was an absolute professional at the reception and also at the whaleshark trip we had... he made the trip great ! thanks a lot Rauf!

Im November 2023 waren zum fünften Mal auf den Malediven und zum ersten Mal auf der Insel Filitheyo und ich kann sagen, dass wir jetzt unsere perfekte Insel gefunden haben! Die Lage top und zum schnorcheln einen Traum! Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Das Essen war gut, ein wenig mehr Abwechslung wäre wünschenswert jedoch haben wir immer etwas leckeres gefunden. Die Beachbungalows sind nicht sehr luxuriös aber gemütlich und grosszügig eingerichtet …der zugängliche wunderschöne Strand direkt vor der Tür! Alles in allem eine perfekte Insel um zu geniessen, zu schnorcheln und die tolle Natur der Malediven zu bestaunen. Der einzigste negative Punkt war, dass das Wlan total überteuert angeboten wird, auf der Insel gibt es nirgendwo einen gratis wlan Spot…. Tipp: am Flughafen kann man für 50 Dollar eine SIM Karte kaufen die uns für 2 Wochen längstens gereicht hat…

Siamo stati a Filitheyo Island Resort una settimana, un piccolo paradiso in mezzo all'oceano. Il resort è meraviglioso, proprio come si vede dalle foto. Lo staff è estremamente gentile e disponibile per qualsiasi cosa. Abbiamo soggiornato nella water villa, immersi nella barriera corallina, dove si ha la possibilità di vedere tantissime specie marine. Il cibo è ottimo, dalla colazione alla cena è possibile gustare tantissime portate diverse, assaggiare tante pietanze orientali, ma anche altrettante internazionali, per assecondare i gusti di tutti. Assolutamente consigliato!

Went here as a couple in May 2005 and decided to go back with the teenage kids. It was absolutly brilliant in every respect. The accommodation, food, service, bars, beach, the dive school, the island itself, the atmosphere - absolutly perfect and just what I expected the Maldives to be. We really, really, didn't want to come home! It was simply magical. Most praise should go to the staff. The communications in advance and the service whilst there was second to none - everyone from reception, bar staff, waiters, boat crews, grounds staff, dive staff. Brilliant!

Loved the natural beauty of the island, that it was not picture perfect on all sides is also the charm. The big beach was wide and gorgeous with beautiful tall palmtrees, the lagoon beach a bit worn by the ocean and rough weather this season, but nicely private. The food choice was excellent and of good quality , lots of fish, veggies and very good curries, also a lot of European style food choice for those who prefer that. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly, as everywhere on the island. Very good experience with the dive center, a lot of diving possibilties right on the island and by boat as well. Had lovely baot dives and a night blue light dive on the housereef. We loved the corals on the reefs, saw way more coral life in this atoll than at others, also rich and abundant fish life. Sharks, groupers, napoleons right on the house reef, beautiful corals and nice reefs on the boat trips. Friendly and professional staff at the dive center, we felt very save as we have been diving for only two years and after our padi licences now need to make real diving miles. Villas were better than we expected, loved the spacious open air bathroom with seperate toilet area and the big four poster bed and nice quality wood furniture. Airco, fridge and hot water all worked well. The weather was not the best during our stay but we had a great time, did the night fishing, island hopping, diving and relaxing with a cocktail or at the spa. Beach bbq was lovely. Def would love to go back to this island!

An amazing resort, just right for what we wanted. We visited during the quieter season so very few guests on site at the time. Weather was great, a few showers during our second week but it didn’t stop us doing anything. House reef straight from the beach was fantastic. We saw turtles and sharks daily along with an abundance of different fish and corals. We stayed in the over water villas. It was very noisy due to some high tides but the privacy of the villas was just right. Yes, the water villas are in need of some refurbishment. We stayed on an AI packages. Meals were varied and our designated waiter was very entertaining.

Wir waren im Juli 2023 da. Abenteuerlich war schon der Flug mit dem Wasserflugzeug. Muss man erleben. Filitheyo… Traumhafte kleine Insel, wenig Touristen. Unsere Hütte war direkt am Sandstrand und wenige Schritte vom Meer entfernt, einfach traumhaft. Man kann die Insel locker in kurzer Zeit umwandern. Wir waren die ganze Zeit barfuss unterwegs. Der Sand nicht zu heiss, auch nicht kalt. Wir empfehlen eine Massage direkt am Meer zu buchen. Das Essen war jeden Tag ein Genuss, sowas hatten wir noch nie erlebt. Auch die Haifütterung war sehr interessant. Unser Zimmer war schön und das Bad offen, auch sehr speziell. Das Highlight war aber jeden Abend der Sonnenuntergang. Was ein Traum…

Wir waren im Dezember dort und haben es sehr genossen. Es waren sehr schöne Ferientage. Das Schnorcheln war grandios, auch wenn es leider einige Stellen am Hausriff gibt, die sehr kaputt sind. Die Halbpension war für uns völlig ausreichend. Das Buffet morgens und abends ist sehr gut und umfangreich. Die Getränke sind recht teuer, was zu erwarten war. Anbei mal die Preise zur Info. Ein Liter Wasser am Tag ist inklusive. Jede weitere Flasche kostet ca. 4,5 Dollar. Das Internet kostet ca. 125 Dollar für eine Woche. Man kann auch Tage- oder nur Stunden buchen. In der Bibliothek gibt es einen PC, den man kostenlos nutzen kann, z.B. um die Ausreiseformalitäten (imuga) zu erledigen. Insgesamt können wir Filitheyo sehr empfehlen.

really nice resort especially for divers with a close housereef which is amazing. sharks, ray, groupers, napoleon can be seen especially early in the morning. the bungalows are awesome and close to the housereef (100 meters roughly) which make it accessible to all and really quickly. the restaurant is great with an excellent variety of fruits vegetables and different meals. quality and quantity are remarquable. a must to me

Filitheyo ist eine wunderschöne Insel mit einem super Hausriff. Uns als Taucher hat das besonders gut gefallen. Die Anlage ist auch schön und weitläufig, ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, störte uns aber zumindest nicht. Essen war auch sehr gut. Alles in allem - nichts auszusetzen!

We got ourselves a water villa via RCI and the experience was enchanting from first step. Gaurav was our man Friday, and took care of everything from bookings to anniversary plan!! The resort is only accessible via sea plane ride - a memorable experience in itself. There was a welcome massage given and it was magical from me personally- I had a little stiff back from previous weeks injury. I didn't mention it to the girl but not only did she pick it up but the pain vanished after the massage! The villa itself is spacious, well equipped and kept clean and maintained. The sundeck gave the natural infinite pool view. Most wonderful corals and fishes were right below our villa. We can snorkle all day long! We are vegetarian and the staff took note of it to cater to us and came to check upon us every day in restaurant to see we were happy with options. There's diving center onsite and we have booked ourselves for resort dive as well as night snorkle. Other than that, there's TT, darts, and lot of other activities to.indulge besides soaking in the nature... Will recommend to anyone.

A friendly welcoming resort, with great staff and an amazing setting! The food although buffet style was exceptional and all freshly cooked - the daily sashimi a highlight for us. The house reef was fabulous, we usually entered near gate 8 and the marine life was phenomenal. The bungalow we stayed in was semidetached- the majority were like this, we were fortunate in that we had no neighbours for 6 nights, so felt more private. The two bars were comfortable, only slight downside on the all inclusive was that the cocktails were a little limited. It’s because of the bungalow and the drinks we only score Filitheyo 4 stars - but make no mistake the whole holiday experience and the value for money make this a resort we would 100% return to! If you want fancy and glitz this is not the resort for you - but if you are happy walking round with no shoes and a relaxed vibe, then go for it!

Nous étions dans la villa supérieure n°39, à 50m de la piscine à débordement et du sunset bar. L'emplacement était donc parfait. Vous faites à peine 30m depuis le bord et vous nagez dans un aquarium géant: magnifique!!! Tour le personnel est extrêmement gentil et attentionné. Les repas sous forme de buffet sont de très bonne qualité et très variés. Bref je ne peux que recommander le Filitheyo Island Resort.

We are a married couple in our late 50s and have been to the Maldives 11 times and to 8 different islands (Vilamendhoo 4 time). Filitheyo would be in the similar or slightly lower price range of other islands we have visited. So how does it compare! Well they all have their great bits, good bits and not so good bits. Great bits are on Filitheyo, the food, the reef, small and pretty island with good beaches (apart from the north side). The food is simply the best we have ever had in the Maldives. Beautiful desserts too. Love the fact restaurant staff wear the traditional Maldivian sarongs. The reef is teaming with all kinds of fish who are not at all afraid of people. It kept us busy for hours. The reef is easily accessible and very long. Worth bring your own snorkel, mask and don’t forget fins. They will keep you safe in any currents and help protect the delicate reef. Definitely recommend a long sleeved rash vest and rash leggings or shorts as the sun is ferocious. The All Inclusive white wine is lovely and served in nice wine glass. The cocktails are limited to a selection of 5 but are very nice. Cappuccinos, lattes are not included in the AL. They cost around $7 each but are very nice and well presented with little cookies on the side. The restaurant is in the greenery and gets very hot. The fans are few and far between and ineffective. I took a small usb rechargeable fan, thank goodness. The bungalow (we had a superior bungalow) are absolutely fine. In fact better than I had expected. I liked the furniture, the fridge was really cold, aircon quiet and effective, water pressure great and mosquitoes nets over the beds.. Could do with better lighting in both the room and bathroom though. The location of most of the bungalows are fabulous (we were in 86). The deluxe bungalows were on the opposite side of the island and that’s where the breeze was most of the time. So more comfortable but not so pretty beaches. We upgraded to a water villa for a couple of nights. The price was reasonable and the experience was great. Loved watching the sunset from the deck. The decks are a little tired and lacking shade for the sunbeds. Unfortunately there is no light into the water at night to see the fish. Also no room service on the island and you cannot take a drink away from the bar. So to be able to have a drink on the deck at sunset I had to go to the bar, order a bottle of wine (chargeable but not too expensive). Then carry it in the ice box all the way back to the water villa. Nothing luxury about that. But otherwise we loved it. The sand is beautiful round the island (apart from the north side) but the coral isn’t raked out like other islands we’ve been to. So definitely not a no shoes island. But could be a no news island due the WiFi not being free! 😂 The whole island is pretty. The gardeners do a wonderful job. They alway say hello when passing too. The bar and restaurant staff are wonderful too. So is the doctor. I got an ear infection from snorkelling or diving but he sorted it out and it was very cheap (rinse ears really well after being in the water). It’s predominantly German guests of a similar age to ourselves. All lovely with a healthy respect for the reef and the peace and tranquility expected on a Maldivian holiday. The mosquitoes were terrible. The worst we’ve ever came across anywhere. No amount of repellent will stop them biting. I take great care and would normally expect to get around 6 bites in a two week holiday. On filitheyo however I lost count after I had been bitten over 30 times. The dive centre was particularly bad for getting bitten. I have submitted a separate trip advisor review on the dive centre if anyone is interested. Would we go back? Well for a start the seaplane was over a thousand dollars as well as hot and sweaty. So for that reason I would try and go to an island reachable by boat. The mosquitoes did have a negative affect on our holiday. Although the food and the reef were amazing. So who knows, maybe if we got a very good deal we may well.

We chose this resort because we do a lot of snorkeling and the reef had been recommended. We saw plenty of fishes (variety and number), rays, eels, and some reef sharks. A pod of dolphins swam past on our first morning which we saw from the decking of our villa. The food was really good in the main restaurant and our waiter was lovely and looked after us well. We were half board so it was nice to go to the sunset bar for a change at lunch time. The view from here was amazing. The main bar/restaurant area was lovely at night with twinkling lights. There are quite a few snorkelling trips on offer. We liked the peace and quiet.

Hello. We pay 400 usd/night HB. Sea plane transfer included. A very good price for what you get. Good value for this money. Breakfast is ok but not to many options. Dinner instead is perfect, good tasting food and many options Rooms are clean but furniture is a bit old, But they have a very beautiful outside bathroom; still you shouldt came here for the room furniture. You should be here for the REEF. I dive and snorkel in many places arround the world and here, the house reef is gourgeous and healthy. So a big plus. The only negative comment is the fact that you get a bottle of 1 L watter daily and you pay 4.5 usd for extra. ( kind of understandeble considering that you are in the midlle of nowhere…) Wish you a nice trip!

Had a lovely time Staff in bar and restaurants were amazing Snorkelling was great I’m not a good swimmer but still got to see and swim in schools of fish My wife goes a bit further out and swam with turtles and had a ( not dangerous) shark go past her By end of week was getting a bit bored with the food but just probably just me Only real bad point is we paid for a water villa which on other islands are normally private. We could see in next doors plus two along was a very loud man on his phone every day Put it this way if I stayed any longer I would of said something Wouldn’t come back But still enjoyed myself

Que dire car ce voyage a été un rêve... Même pas besoin de descendre dans l'eau pour avoir un aquarium à ciel ouvert. Pour les amateurs de snorkeling, il y a juste à descendre de la villa sur pilotis pour voir les poissons (requin blanc à pointe noire, raie,Picasso....) Niveau restauration rien à redire non plus même les desserts qui souvent sont un point noir dans beaucoup de voyages sont bons... un grand merci à abdulla qui a été notre serveur et qui est au top (pour info votre table est la même pour tout votre sejour avec un serveur dédié) Nous étions sur pilotis et niveau nettoyage, l' homme de chambre passe deux fois par jour pour faire le ménage. Bref c'était top et s'il faut donner des défauts ça serait qu'il n'y a qu'un pseudo magasin de souvenirs donc quasi inutile et que le personnel ne parle pas français (abdulla notre serveur connaît quelques mots et fait l'effort de parler les mots de bases et rien que ça merci à lui). Autre avis vis à vis des défauts, ne pas y aller avec un enfant en bas âge ou pour des PMR car cette destination est vraiment une destination pour adultes et incompatible pour les PMR.

Booked a 10 day stay at Filitheyo primarily for diving. We opted for the ‘superior villas’ thinking it was a middle option but it’s actually the standard. I wasn’t disappointed with the villa, it had everything needed: mosquito net; clean towels changed as often as you like; spacious with an indoor bathroom but an outdoor shower; separate loo; fridge and a bottle of water daily. Right on the beach with veranda, beach loungers under an umbrella for each villa and extra towels too. It’s a very peaceful location with great views and plenty of shade. It was hot and humid at this time of the year so there were plenty of mosquitoes about so take repellent and use it. They do sell ‘soffell’ in the island shop and calamine lotion for any bites but they also spray the island daily so they do their best to minimise the chance of bites. The restaurant is large, split into 3 parts with your own allocated table and waiter; our guy was lovely- Sakibul a good service with plenty of variety of foods to choose from. We went half board and that’s enough food for the day with perhaps a small ( paid) snack at lunchtime if needed. They offer ‘happy hour’ at both bars at different times of the day. Drinks aren’t cheap so that helps with extra expenses. The dive centre is a German run outfit - Werner lau and is very efficient. They have 3 boats and can accommodate different styles of diving. Many people snorkel on the excellent house reef too. The spa offers all the usual treatments by very attentive staff, again not cheap but very pleasant. Value for money - a good choice.

Filitheyo ist eine wunderschöne Insel, schöne Bungalows, sauberer Strand. Auch die Gastronomie ist nicht zu verachten. Man bekommt quasi alles, was das Herz begehrt. Auch bei vielen Besuchern gleichzeitig klappt es mit der Bedienung super. Man hat eine top Auswahl mit europäischer Küche, wie auch mit den lokalen Essgewohnheiten. Man kann also sehr gesund essen, wenn man denn will. Von Pasta, Fisch, Geflügel, Lamm, Rind, Kartoffeln, Gemüse findet mal alles, was das Herz begeht. Das Personal, angefangen vom Roomboy, den Bartendern, Rezeption, dem Servicepersonal beim Essen, bis hin zu jenem fleissigen Leuten, die täglich die vielen kleinen Wege vom Laub befreien, einfach alle top. Ich denke, es gefällt ihnen auch, auf dieser Insel zu arbeiten. Ich würde wieder auf diese Insel gehen.

Esperienza davvero ottima!Posto meraviglioso, isola incontaminata. Personale sempre disponibile e cortese, pronto a soddisfare ogni richiesta. Cibo ottimo sia a colazione che a cena. Vasta gamma di escursioni in programma. Il consiglio è chiedere una stanza nella zona che va dalla 38 all 60 circa.

We’ve been to Maldives many times but not to Filitheyo. This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. Transfer from Male is 40mins by seaplane. Meet and greet was thoughtful with a cold flannel, refreshing drink and a neck massage from the spa staff, nice touch. Check-in was seamless and then we were showed to our villa. We stayed on the south side of the island in a detached villa which had a lovely view of the sea. The island interior is made up of sandy walkways and tropical woodland, mostly untouched but tended where needed. Snorkelling here is excellent with easy access to the house reef. Would recommend exits 7 & 8. The corals are still good with little bleaching and plenty of fish including trigger, angelfish and surgeon. The beach on the north west side of the island is beautiful. Powdery white sand edges a calm lagoon for swimming and snorkelling. A stroll end to end will take you between 10-30mins depending on how many times you stop to enjoy the view. There is one main restaurant, a table is allocated on arrival. Meals are buffet style with plenty of choice. The buffet area has a sand floor while the tables are set upon a mixture of wood and sand. There’s two bars, the main bar is next to the restaurant and offers a good selection of cocktails, spirits and wines. At night it is magical with twinkling lights projected into the trees. The other bar is on the west side of the island, close to the water villas and servicing an infinity swim up pool. The perfect spot to watch the sunset. There is a fully equipped PADI dive centre on the island. There are excursions organised daily, including sunset fishing, local island trip and whale shark spotting. This island is very laid back and perfect for a no shoes no news getaway. We loved this island so there are no real negatives except a few. The restaurant is away from the sea so no cooling breeze, it can be very uncomfortable especially at lunch time. The solution is to take a fan and drink cold beer! Wi-fi is not complimentary and very expensive. Get a local eSim at the airport for around $40. Snorkel equipment is chargeable, not a big deal just be prepared. Fin hire cost $25 per week. Would we go back, most certainly. For the price it was really good value for money.

This was our first trip here using our RCI membership we got thru our timeshare and what an amazing experience we had from the start to finish. We will for sure be returning!! Comminicationss before arriving were great. All the staff are so friendly. Abdula our server was the best! Our room staff was amazing as well. And the island views cannot be beat!!

Filitheyo is a remote island of its own, only containing the Resort. The island is big enough so you get some space and privacy. The beaches are very well maintained and there is easy access for the house reef to snorkel all day long, with quite in shape coral and masses of fish to gaze at. The resort is definitely cared about, it is well maintained, but you can see that it has not been renovated for some years now. Please do not get this wrong, everything is absolutely clean, the food is great and the staff is super kind and helping. There is no big watersport activity (there are no jetskis or so), so you really will find a quite hide out in this resort.

The food is good .some rooms are quite far from the main restaurant and the reception area. The place is too quiet, so perhaps more music is needed like in the bar and the main dining room. Music is needed upon arrival to welcome guests and also flowers.Thank you Kripa for the hospitality.perhaps

Смело ставлю отелю 4! Хорошую 4! Отдыхали в начале октября на супериор вилле, считаю самое удобное расположение, нежели на делюкс виллах, там нет такоего мягкого спуска в воду, у нас было минимум ветра и волн. Номер: Огромная кровать с балдахинами, прикроватные тумбы, софа, телевизор на камоде, столик с креслом, будуарный столик, зеркало, стул, кондиционер. Русских каналов нет. Номер достаточно просторный. Много света. Полуоткрытый санузел. Отдельно туалет. Две раковины, душ под открытым небом. Два шкафа. Фен. Холодильник с минибаром. 8 бутылочек всякой разной газировки каждый день входят в олинклюзив. Кофе, чай, сливки, чайник. 2 бутылки воды в день. Шампунь, гель для душа, лосьон для тела, мыло, шапочка для душа, ват палочки, диски, все есть. Идеально белые полотенца, большие пляжные полотенца. Халаты. Зонтики. Прекрасная терраса с креслами и столиком. Прекрасный коралловый риф в нескольких метрах от номера. Разнообразие рыб порясает😍 Стало жарко на пляже-два шага и ты в номере под кондиционером, прекрасно) Персонал доброжелателен. Все, кого встречаешь на пути, садовники, повара, уборщики, бармены, менеджеры улыбаются и желают доброго дня. Еда выше всяких похвал! Завтрак самый скучный из всех приёмов пищи, особо не разгуляешься, но выбрать есть что. Итак, что обычно на завтрак: прекрасные вафли, панкейки с добавками шоколад/мед/джем. Фрукты, меняются, что то сегодня, другое завтра. Что здорово, их нарезают при тебе, максимально свежее из холодильника. Также микс фруктов/ягод. Очищенный кокос. Десерты, всегда разнообразные круассаны, булочки, кексы. Хлеб всякий разный, можно поджарить, масло. Курица "с дымком" вкусная, ростбиф, ветчина, бекон, сосиски. Финики, сухофрукты, иогурты и мюсли. Соки всегда разные свежесделанные. Каша овсяная. Омлет/яишница/варёное яйцо, делают при тебе с добавками. Всегда есть скрэмбл, тосты в яйце, фасоль в соусе.Сыр пару видов, каждый день разный, помидоры огурцы не вкусные, пластмассовые как у нас в несезон. Куча соусов. Лепёшки. На горячее каждый день что то новое, не много, но выбрать есть из чего. Обед:  что то есть всегда, например, паста, огурцы, помидоры, листья салата, что то меняется каждый день. Несколько блюд с рыбой, несколько с говядиной, несколько с курицей. Что то острое, что то с карри. Очень разнообразно. Всегда разный суп, салаты каждый день новые. Мороженое тоже не повторялись вкусы, на обед и ужин два вида мороженого. Обязательно попробуйте пасту! Это отвал башки! Наполнение на выбор: креветки, кальмары, рыба, курица, перец гриль, соуса белый красный. Это нереально вкусно! Ела каждый день! Так же фрукты как и на завтраке, десерты новые постоянно, их не много, вот например сегодня 4 тортика, чёрный лес с вишней, лимонный пай с меренгой, ягодный чизкейк, пирог с яблоком -ну они все объедение! Не как в Турции, все на один вкус, абсолютно разные как в лучших кондитерских! Еще есть Пицца, всегда новая. Ужин моя отдельная любовь💘 Самый богатый выбор, всего и не перечислить. Обязательно попробуйте сашими из свежей рыбы и сяке маки. Бар. Прекрасен! Что рядом с рестораном, что на берегу. Во все включено входят 5 коктейлей алкогольных, 5 безалко, соки, чай/кофе, вино, пиво. Коктейли вкусные, качественные, алкоголь хороший. Оформляются красиво, подаются быстро. Очень мало русских! Поэтому так мало отзывов. На все время встретили только одну семью. Персонал по русски не понимает от слова совсем. Если едете за уединением - вам сюда! Отдых пенсионерский, сразу предупреждаю, ни дискотек, ни музыки, ни анимации. Тишина и покой. Только шум волн, птиц. Интернет платный! Даже на рецепции. 124$ за неделю. Есть дартс, бильярд и тренажёрный зал! Идеально красиво. Чисто. Входит поездка на острова и на рыбалку. Мы на рыбалке были, очень понравилось. Берите маски, коралки, ласты, побольше крема от солнца. Вдоль домиков ходят парни с тачкой, можно взять у них кокос, бесплатно) Отель поражает своими видами, идеальными пляжами, вкусной едой, заботливым персоналом, тишина и спокойствие. Обязательно вернёмся!

Estrutura grande e no bom "rustic-chic style". O recife de corais logo à frente dos bangalôs é fantástico, repleto de corais e peixes de cores, formas e tamanhos variados. O ponto que precisa de uma forte melhoria é a alimentação. O resort cobra um Plano de Alimentação bastante caro para ter Café da Manhã, Almoço e Jantar, mas o Buffet é sempre "mais do mesmo", com predominância de pratos extremamente apimentados. Ouvi vários turistas europeus reclamando disso. Outra questão é que os empregados do resort só falam inglês (com forte sotaque) e a comunicação com eles é difícil. Para finalizar, o carregador de bagagens exigiu gorjeta de forma constrangedora. Achei que esta prática já estava em desuso em resorts.

My wife and I stay at the resort for our honeymoon and it was fantastic. I can't say enough about how beautiful the island is. The water is clear, you can actually see the bottom, and the sand is white. The island is very clean. The food was great. We had an all inclusive plan, so we mainly ate the buffet in the main restaurant, and the food was actually pretty good. My wife and I also did a private lobster dinner and it was well worth. We were definitely given Alot of food, and it was delicious. The staff was very attentive and nice. I would definitely go back.

This was our 2nd trip to Filitheyo and we were a little apprehensive and wondered if it would be as lovely and special as our first visit. However our concerns were short-lived as on our arrival we were delighted to see so many familiar faces on the staff team and were welcomed back so warmly it was almost like reuniting with old friends. Filitheyo isn't a 5 star luxury resort but it is very special. The staff are amazing, make you feel like honoured guests and can't do enough for you. The rooms are rustic, homely and kept perfectly clean by the fantastic room attendants. The outdoor shower is wonderful, with a lovely view of the sky and trees, although the pressure is sometimes a little hit and miss. The food in the main restaurant is amazing. So much variety and something for everyone. The quality of food was exceptional in our opinion and there were different dishes every day. Our waiter Ziya was fantastic and made sure we were well looked after. The main bar is a lovely, atmospheric and relaxing place to stop after eating and the staff there are excellent and take good care of you. We tended to spend more time at the Sunset Bar which was cooler and less humid with a nice breeze. The pool is nice to cool off in the day and later on the sunsets are spectacular. The staff team there (Hossein, Okil, Faruk, Raj, to name but a few) are incredible, great to chat to and make you feel welcome and like VIPs with their attentiveness. Our main purpose for visiting the island was to scuba dive and like every other experience on Filitheyo, the diving more than lived up to expectations. The instructors, boat and kit staff were fantastic, looked after us on the boat dives and took care of what we needed for our house reef dives. All our dives were stunning and we saw all sorts of marine life, including sharks and turtles. We tended to use entry points 4, 5 and 6 on the house reef. The 2 wrecks at 30m between 5 and 6 are deffo worth at least one visit. We also dived 4 to 3 which is quite long and hard work at times as the current changes but well worth it. Snorkeling the house reef is also a must and in our opinion, time well spent, especially if like us sunbathing makes you fidgety. So I'm aware I'm running out of superlatives to describe this island but for us it really was that special. No, it isn't five star luxury (which wouldn't suit us personally) but it does have tons of warmth, character and heart. My only criticism is with regards to tipping. We do tip, as it's generally well deserved but there were a couple of occasions where we felt certain staff members were waiting for a tip. These were occasions where we felt tipping wasn't really warranted or necessary and was a little uncomfortable. I'd like to emphasise this was only a small minority and certainly wasn't something which occurred regularly. We said this would probably be our last visit to the Maldives but half way down our first beer at the Sunset Bar we were already planning our next trip. The only bad part is having to leave. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to all your wonderful staff for making our holiday so memorable and special. We miss you and can't wait to return.

We stayed in this resort in the beginning of august (2 weeks). It was an amazing time. Food was delicious, the servers were super friendly and always on the lookout for filling up our glasses The rooms where nicely set up, room service was doing a great job and the half outdoor bathroom was another great experience. There was no problem with cold/hot water or anything else at all. The fridge at the room was always filled with d few cans of different types of soda (sprite, Cocc Cola, Fanta and water) and the house reef was amazing too. Go snorkeling after breakfast, that is when you will see the most (water isn't cloudy at all, lots of fish, turtles and a few sharks). The excursions were amazingly planned. We went on the Manta trip, Island hopping and the whale shark trip. Even though we weren't lucky to find mantas or a whale shark we saw plenty of other ocean life, for example: turtles, dolphins, different types of rays and lots of sharks. We would like to thank Dhaain, for being such an amazing tour guide and teaching us so many interesting things about the Maldives and marine life. He accompanied us while snorkeling and showed us so many fascinating things underwater. While on the boat he taught us how to make Manta rays and parrots out of palm leaves and even demonstrated how to peel and open a coconut. We would love to come back again as soon as possible and enjoy the quietness of this island resort!

I visited Filitheyo for the second time after 2017 in May 2023. The island is a true tropical paradise, very densely grown, with lots of palm trees and even mango trees. The bungalow was roomy, clean and had a very convenient back entrance to avoid bringing sand into your room after swimming. One of my main reasons to return was the stunning house reef. Despite it being a bit windy/stormy this time, I still had ample opportunity to enjoy the underwater world with lots of different kind of fish. The staff was really friendly and kind and made me feel very at home. I really enjoyed the food, especially the salad variations and the variety of fresh fruit (including mangoes, papayas and fresh coconut from the island. There are a couple of cute cats on the island which were very happy about the kibble I brought them. The island is perfect if you‘re looking for a peaceful tropical paradise to relax and snorkel. I‘ll definitely come back some time for my third visit 😊

This was our 11th visit to the Maldives , 1st to Filitheyo, and it will not be our last. We had a wonderful time on land and in the ocean, despite some very stormy and rainy days at the beginning of our 14 day stay. The island is rustic with a very relaxed, no news no shoes, atmosphere. The staff were helpful and generally attentive. We met the top management team during our stay, who were happily chatting to guests to hear of their experience at the resort. The team in the sunset bar were fabulous and kept our glasses filled, even when they were very busy, with many guests watching the sun go down with a cocktail or 2. We were on the AI package, staying in a deluxe beach villa, room 12, which was in a perfect location to enjoy the calmer lagoon and a short walk away from the pool area/sunset bar. Snorkelling along the house reef, at the opposite side of the island (North) to our villa, was amazing. The sea-life was particularly good at sunrise, it was the rush hour. We swam with turtles, reef sharks, a vast array of colourful fish (some we had not seen before at other reefs/resorts). The food in the main restaurant was plentiful, good quality with a large selection of hot and cold dishes, salads, soup, curries, grilled fish &meats with themed evenings. The main bar was busy on an evening and unlike, many resorts, there was no entertainment at the main bar in the evening, which was perfect for us and allowed guests to have a chat, play cards or read and relax. The reason I have rated 4 stars, is due to the poor Whale Shark excursion. Be aware this is 4 hours on a boat across the atoll to Ari Atoll, a very rough and bumpy journey and not enough room for all passengers to be under cover for the shade. We appreciate the chances of seeing a Whale Shark is extremely slim, especially at the end of the season, although repeatedly cruising up and down the channel when there was zero sighting of whale sharks, with no discussion from the snorkel guides was frustrating and boring. There was little effort from the guides onboard (unlike those from other resorts we have visited). We thought we would go in search of Manta rays in the area (as we had done so on an excursion from nearby Vilamendhoo), after repeatedly sailing up and down the Ari channel (Lux resort), which would have gone someway to appease disappointed, fatigued passengers. After a boxed sandwich lunch (which we could not eat due to feeling sick with the rough crossing, plus the heat and diesel fumes effects after being on the boat for such a long time), we were eventually taken to a reef and left to go alone to explore and look for turtles. The excursion would have been much better, if the guides had been guest focused and also for a quick snorkel stop off, at a small reef, after the initial journey across the atoll. The excursion was very expensive and the guides should have put in much more effort for the money paid. We would certainly return to this resort again, although we would not waste a full day and a big chunk of money on the above excursion. Think very carefully before booking this excursion. The above was the only negative point of our stay and overall we loved Filitheyo and the rustic charm of this idyllic resort. We hope to return some day 🫶🏻

we loved staying at filitheyo. it isn't what I would describe as the fanciest resort (as the Maldives are pretty amazing with some of their resorts) however I loved that it had a more homely and rustic feel. the rooms were beautiful, clean beaches and facilities and amazing food and staff. i would stay here again. we did the all inclusive but didn't utilize it as we could off as we were to full from all the yummy food and busy snorkeling or doing other activities. beautiful sunsets and good value. a big reason why we chose this resort was because the sealife is meant to be superior in this area and that we would rather get a flight to the resort than a boat - we ended up with both as the plane flys to a nearby pontoon and then they boat you in.

Номер. Мы приехали в начале июля и жили в супериор вилле. Этот тип номеров находился на другой стороне острова от одинарных вилл. Нам повезло, с нашей стороны не было ветра и волн. Недалеко от нашего номера, можно было войти в море, не волнуясь, что наступишь на кораллы Коралловый риф. Мы пробовали как снорклинг, так и дайвинг. Коралловый риф большой, много разных рыб, встретили даже морских черепах. Персонал. Персонал очень приветлив. С самого начала мы погрузились в потрясающую атмосферу райского острова. В первый же вечер море встретило нас тысячами огоньков. Это светящийся планктон пригласил нас насладиться волшебным островом. Еда. Еда выше всяких похвал . Всегда свежий улов рифовой рыбы,сашими из тунца , свежие фрукты, особенно вкусная папайя, изысканные десерты. Хочу еще раз сказать спасибо персоналу за ежедневный сервис и заботу .

The Island looks a dream. But the facilities and accommodation are very disappointing. Certainly not to be booked by anyone wanting to experience service and comfort. The villas are old, need attention, general servicing and furniture. The sunbeds are old, often broken, with pads also thin and damaged. The open air bathroom is a minefield of dangers and hazards. Slippery tiles uncomfortable small pebbles where you need to stand by the wash basins. Small 5cm steps from the bedroom to bathroom and again from the bathroom to the toilet. Warm water in the shower mostly not available - if the warm water tap produces water at all. The toilet was running water constantly for days- the room boy knew - then refused completely to flush. The mattress was rock hard , we did get a thin Topper on request. TV didn't work at first, we had to get a technician. The chairs on the terrace, as throughout the Island totally uncomfortable and you cant relax at all, but have to sit upright. That's the same in the bars and restaurants. The staff were nice, but a few only motivated by tips. You must take beach shoes. Hardly any places to enter the water where these are not absolutely necessary Begging cats on the island that leave their "businesses" in the sand - so even if they say its a barefoot island, with this and lumps of dead coral on the beaches means you really have to look where you are walking. The prices for everything on the island extremely expensive. And:all inclusive " not worth the extra as unless you must have lunch and about cocktails each every evening you'll be throwing your money away Not everything is included in all inclusive. Eg water in the restaurant! Food is variable, but a lot of curries, which all seem to taste the same. One "roast" meat each evening- whereby the description " roast" is quite a fantasy. Totally raw, and I mean raw, inside and about a cm of cooked meat on the outside. Soups mostly delicious. As were the deserts and ice cream The restaurant is built open sided in the jungle. No breeze, really hot and only a few fans suspended from the high ceiling have little effect. The chairs in the restaurant have high arms so you can't get yourself "tucked in" to the table and have to bend forward to eat. Backache preprogrammed! The reef is intact and a dream. The interior of the island is natural and amazing The organisation of the transfers to and from the island excellent and well organised. For nearly 6000 Euros for 13 nights we expect much better facilities. Do not recommend

Staff was very nice. Resort is maintained well. Infinity pool of sunset view is beautiful.meals can have more variety in full board /half board meals. Being nature friendly, try to avoid products serving in plastic containers even water,butter,juices. Coral reef is excellent. Ensure people use high quality snorkeling equipments and do not throw at beach. As most of them are plastics. There has to be life gaurd watch post at coral reef beach area.

Loved this island.We have visited The Maldives 7 times.5 different islands but we have fallen in love with Filitheyo.We were incredibly lucky with the weather which was wonderful considering it was low season.We stayed in a water villa which was great.The food was excellent with lots of choices and we had no complaints at all.Service in the restaurant was really good and our waiter Abim was superb.The pool bar “The sunset Bar”was our favourite place.Faruk the captain led a wonderful team with Viraj,Ruben,Dinashu and Raj being our particular favourites.Mr. Jude and the other supervisors were also excellent and I’d like to thank Mr.Didi the resort manager for making our holiday magical .All in all everyone of the staff including gardening staff that we met were top class and so friendly. Congratulations Filitheyo you’re the best Many thanks from Ann and Ken .

Meine Partnerin & ich sind mit dieser Reise das erste Mal auf die Malediven gereist - die Entscheidung mit Filitheyo war sehr gut. Am ersten Tag spielten wir ein wenig Frisbee am Strand/im Meer & sahen als wir nach dem Frisbee im Meer griffen, eine Koralle... danach holten wir die Tauchermaske & wollte einen kurzen Blick in die Unterwasserwelt wagen - WOOOW... was wir dort alles wundervolles entdeckten hätte ich niemals geglaubt - das in unmittelbarer Nähe vom Strand. Obwohl man die Insel in ca. 1 Stunde umlaufen hat, wurde es uns nie langweilig. Das Einzige, was wir ändern würden, wäre von VOLLPENSION zu HALBPENSION zu wechseln. Wir wurden sehr gut verwöhnt, mit vielen leckeren Speisen & guten Cocktails. Danke an das ganze Team von Filitheyo Island Resort das ihr uns eine unvergessliche Zeit geschenkt habt | 24.05. - 03.06.2023 // Room # 44.

This island is both magical & amazing. We loved it all from the villas right in the beach, amazing buffet for breakfast, lunch & dinner, the weather was balmy & tropical and snorkeling was to die for! Looked after from the time we arrive to the time we left on the sea plane. Cannot recommend this Maldives island enough.
