We decided to try here as have been to Kuredu and Vilamendhoo and wanted to experience somewhere different. The reviews on Constance Moofushi are amazing which helped us decide to try here.
This place will certainly not disappoint you .It is as amazing as all the reviews say. The food was a big one for us and the variety and quality were top notch . Every night a different theme, always had a great choice of mains and puddings , fantastic wine selection, so many ice cream flavours , you can’t just have one scoop, definitely came back a few pounds heavier.
The next main reason for coming here was the snorkelling. The best place in the Maldives we have been for corals and fish. House reef was teeming with so many fish you didn’t know where to look first. Black tip reef sharks swimming underneath you and fish all around my camera was on fire . Blue Tribe dive shop will happily show you the snorkelling areas and any advice about the currents you have .
If you don’t mind deep ocean you can swim the drop off where there is even more variety of fish, rays , sharks etc, but be mindful of the current, always swim with it not against as it does tire you out quickly. (as we found out )
Would highly recommend the snorkelling trip which is not included in the all inclusive plan but was definitely worth it . We stopped at 2 sites , first was beautiful, loads of different varieties of fish and corals and even a couple of turtles roaming around. Saw my first white tipped reef shark here. Second place was all about the table corals . Just go and see for yourself.
We stayed in a Sand Villa (44) which was absolutely perfect, even snorkelling here was awesome and not very deep so ideal for beginners. I liked the fact the steps went to sand first, then the ocean was only a few steps away, perfect for an early morning sunrise walk. This is also a great time to see the blue spotted eagle rays , which passed our villa just as the sun came up . These villas are also a short walk from the Totem bar which is a great spot for a cocktail while watching the sun go down .
The staff at Constance Moofushi are outstanding. Nothing too much trouble, passed down by Mevin the GM who was there to greet us off the seaplane and let us know that if there was anything we wanted , needed etc he would do his utmost to help.
This showed everywhere with the staff , service was always with a smile and they remember your names , drinks and even where you like to sit . Really must put a special shout out to Ushaan , you and your special cocktails , such a lovely man , even walked from one bar to the other to get oranges to squeeze for my drink . Naas with his lovely smile and always ready to get you another drink . Shaa who helped me choose different mocktails to enjoy , also has a great sense of humour. Sam , Ranjith and not forgetting Gopan , who was always available for a chat.
All the staff were amazing , from the people who cleaned the island , room cleaners, bar staff, chefs , sommeliers , etc , certainly no complaints here.
Everyone wants to know about the weather , yes it’s a tropical island , we had one day rain but didn’t spoil our holiday , it was hot during the day, one side of the island might have a lovely breeze , the other still . Don’t need shoes only flip flops on the board walk to Sand and Water villas as it can get rather hot .
If you got this far in my review then you are obviously thinking about going to Constance Moofushi, don’t think just go , you will not be disappointed.
It’s Paradise ……
