great 2 lagoon villa
Pros: Our stay at The Standard was marvelous from beginning to end. We booked a 2 bedroom overwater villa and it was very nice. The toilets were spacious and the rooms had a direct view of the lagoon. The resort was fascinating. The facilities, the beach and the lagoon were amazing. The water was so clear and clean to the point it’s hard to spot any imperfections. On our first night, we faced an issue with one of the room’s AC as it was not cold enough. The manager at the time Esmaeel was kind enough to help us with our issue. He came with 2 staff from the engineering team: Danoshka and Kalom who were there to fix the issue even though it was late at night and the weather was hot outside and they were very professional. Not to mention also specifically the spa ladies staff who provided us with a great body remedy and massage experience which was very soothing and calming. The staff generally were very welcoming and friendly and our host Youseff has tended to all our queries and needs. The food was also good and the vibes at the place were very nice. It was an exceptional stay.

Pros: Хороший отель, чистый остров. Жили 11 дней на вилле Океан, очень понравился интерьер, простор, не большой бассейн. Ласты и маски бесплатно. По всему острову велосипеды, сам остров не большой. Брали только завтраки, ужины в барбекю баре понравились стейки и осьминог гриль, суши в Японском, цены для Мальдив приемлемые. Вечером различные развлечения, два раза выигрывали в викторину бутылку шампанского. Риф есть, что посмотреть, аккуратно есть течения! Трансфер на гидросамолёте 40 минут, встретили в аэропорту проводили в лаунж, проводили обратно тоже без нареканий. Интернет на острове бывает тормозит, бывает отваливается. Покупал дополнительно eSIM Airalo, 17Гб на 30 суток согит 30$. Если введете код VOEVOD436 получите скидку 3$.
Cons: Мухи на завтраке садятся на еду выложенную на тарелках, можно наверное придумать какие то прозрачные сетки или крышки. За 11 дней не пополнили мини-бар.

Pros: Our recent holiday at the Oversea Villa was absolutely amazing. The villa itself was a delight, with breathtaking views and a luxurious plunge pool. The staff were truly brilliant, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, particularly with our son. At the buffet restaurant, the service was outstanding. The senior lady at the door welcomed us warmly every day, and the staff at the egg and pasta stations were commendable. Despite the buffet becoming a bit repetitive, the quality remained high. A standout experience was dining at the "BBQ Shak" - highly recommended. Another highlight was the thrilling snorkelling safari trip. All in all, Oversea Villa made our vacation unforgettable. Can't wait to return!
Cons: One of the ladies in the kids club was a bit officious, and they round up the charges by the hour, so baby kit babysitting became pretty extensive!

Pros: Struttura bellissima, una garanzia The Standard all’interno di un contesto unico come le Maldive. Servizi ottimi e personale gentilissimo, sempre pronto e disponibile. Venire qui è di certo un’esperienza che consiglio e che sono certo si voler ripetere presto. Le ville sul mare offrono maggiore privacy con la vista oceano ma sono tutte bellissime, spaziose, comode, pulite e suggestive. I ristoranti sono tutti ottimi, ci sono moltissime attività ed in poche ore si entra in uno stato di totale relax. Complimenti e grazie ancora a tutto lo staff!

wonderful unforgetable vacation
Pros: I chose this resort after hearing good words from two close friends. it is truly a wonderful resort with outstanding services. All resort staff without exception were so friendly, caring and attentive and they made sure that I was welcomed since the time of the arrival till waving Good bye. Special thanks to Shaan, villa host who was such a great person and help me and made my stay great. I stayed in the Ocean Pool Villa. It was nicely decorated, spacious, clean and with a terrace overlooking the ocean were fish and stingrays spotted swimming nearby. My stay was for three nights, but I really enjoyed my time at the beautiful sandy beach, swimming in the clear crystal water, snorkeling beside the villa. Sunset fishing trip and afternoon/ evening entertainments were great. I also liked my dining experience at Guduguda,the Maldivian restaurant and the BBQ Shak resturant. Dishes I tried were so delicious. Beru bar was the best place where I enjoyed the charming sunset and breathtaking breeze. I visited Maldives many times, and my stay at Standard was unforgettable and great beyond words. I strongly recommend this resort and truly wish to stay at once again.

Truly Standard 5 star hotel
Pros: -Standard price for 5 stars hotel -Villas are spacious and comfortable -Amazing wonderful sights in the island -Nice atmosphere in the bars very good food variation among the four restaurants -Snorkeling equipment is in the room -i like how they schedule the days with things to do list from complementary things to on charge. kula restaurant had its own amazing vibe and sight
Cons: as mentioned its a standard price not so the experience is different than other five star hotels , however the half board only includes one restaurant of the three in the island unlike other hotels in maldives where you can pick among the available restaurants -staff need better training, every time when they picked our cutlery we have to beg them for one, I recall in bbq shak after appetizers they took our used cutlery then served dinner with no cutlery so, i hope the can overcome this issue! - sunset fishing was wonderful and a scam to be honest , the ride cost 110 $ per person where we were just about one hundred meters behind the island, we had a good catch of 4 fish and then we were surprised that each fish costs 35$ to cook ! But honestly they were the best thing i ate - Snorkeling fins should be collected in the water sports and returned before 5:30pm the day before checkout (not what to be expected in a five star hotel) - no extending mirrors in bathroom - bikes are subject to availability only not all villas have their own - No kettle nor iron

Paradise!
Pros: The best resort we’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. The amenities were great. Gorgeous water villa and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk out of the balcony facing the lagoon. It was wonderful, clean, and perfect for a honeymoon. The staff was amazing. They were extremely accommodating and the service was exceptional. We got to the resort super early and allowed us to check in early. So, this was a big plus. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. We highly recommend this resort for anyone visiting the Maldives.
Cons: It would have been great if they offer speed boat transfer to and from the main island.

Beautiful island, but was not worth what we paid.
Pros: Amazing location, the beach was beautiful as well as the house reef. Decent selection of food at buffet restaurant. Sala and Anoor at the cafes were great, very helpful. Nafiu from house keeping did a great job, always smiling. Charith made yummy pasta at the pasta station. Ample of Water sports facilities, including 1 hour free kayaking if you have all inclusive+ plus snorkel facilities although recommend you bring your own full face mask, the ones provided are flimsy. Bedroom was lovely, spacious, huge bathroom and lots of balcony space. All round staff were helpful. Plenty of spirits available in the room on all inclusive.
Cons: Highly confusing all inclusive options. Majority of the items we wanted to eat were not included in all inclusive +. Honeymoon Beach dinner was a lovely setting and delicious food but the waiter’s attitude spoilt it for us as we felt rushed from the moment we sat down, we were still eating our desert and he started packing the lanterns away. More organisation required at the Japanese restaurant, it started pouring and there was chaos to get everyone settled inside. Upon checking out we were being charged for a beach bag, without checking the room thoroughly and laundry which was suppose to be included in our package.

The standard needs to improve with customer satisfaction and give more attention to people who are staying there.

Cons: - No communication before reaching the hotel. They would never answer WhatsApp. This is extremely important for people to be happy and feel satisfied. - They wanted to charge me 20$ for the laundry bag and took it out of my bag before I left. I have never seen this before. - Some bathrooms that are in the resteraunt need to be cleaned and had a smell. - Overwater villa has some noise in the apartment maybe from the AC compressor - Should include three wheeled bicycle for people who don’t know how to drive - Don’t order shisha as it is very bad and not made well. The shisha needs to be revamped and made well.

Pros: Literally from beginning to end the experience exceeded our expectations! Food wise: Not only breakfast but also, all board meals were delicious and many varieties of food to choose from. Activities: Many activities are available some are complimentary and some cost money to do. Staff: The staff are very friendly and helped us with everything we asked for or wanted. They prepared a cute birthday cake for me on arrival.
Cons: Seriously nothing I didn't like at all during my stay! Our private pool light was not working but they immediately fixed it for us.

Love Maldives but did not enjoy the Standards Hotel.
Pros: I would say the beach, snorkelling and probably that's about it. The hotel is located a little bit far from the mainland - Male's airport, but that made snorkelling amazing we saw so many different fish and it was lovely!
Cons: There are so many things that we did not like, especially because we know how things are in the Maldives and this is not our first visit. 1. The seaplane usually lands by the island, but to this particular hotel, we were in the plane for 45 minutes, then had to stop in the middle of the sea waiting for our ride (a boat) and the weather was not ideal for boats as it was very rough and it was overall a very bad experience. 2. The BATHROOM is a disaster, the bathroom is obviously linked to the villa, and it had no windows, but it was open to the public by the roof which makes the bathroom very hot and humid, and no room for privacy, we can see people in the bathroom or taking a shower, it also has transparent floor that I had to cover with to towels. 3. During our stay, we encountered some thunderstorms and bad whether (don't go in June), our villa on the water had wooden boards that collapsed on us. This was very dangerous and very uncomfortable for us as we had to move and move our stuff while it was pouring rain and no one even apologised, compensated us for that day with a drink or anything. Surely, we didnt even hear from our host. 4. Usually you are assigned a host to look after you during your stay, we only saw ours ONCE, when we came, and we had to wait for him to check in the other guest coming with us, we were exhausted but they did not even bother take us in while finishing up with the others. 5. It's very common in the Maldives to have honeymoon or anniversary dinners - complementary with your stay, ours was horrible, the food was awful, we were in the middle of a closed restaurant and we didnt even had a flower nor music nothing. 6. The buffet is not bad, but it lacks variety and surely lacks option, we stayed for four days and I ate the same salad every single day because there were not many options and there were specific dishes that would always be there. 7.

Pros: Ours was a pleasant stay at the The Standard. The staff was very very helpful and did the best to provide everything as we needed. The water villa was just an amazing experience and the cleanliness was brilliant. I would suggest to have a conversation with The Standard's staff on booking.com for anything you might need in advance as they make sure to do their best in all respect.
Cons: I liked everything, but just a suggestion. Please have more vegetarian and vegan options on the food menu. Even as a non-vegetarian person, I just sometimes love to have a vegetarian meal.

Cons: الموقع بعيد عن العاصمة مالي جدا وعند وصلونا وجدنا صعوبة الى وصلنا الى المنتجع ولم نصل الا الساعة 10:30 الليل تقريبا وحسب علينا المنتجع ذلك اليوم ولم يتم التعويض من الفندق. لان كان فيه تاخير في رحلتنا من السعودية والمفروض انهم يعرفون ان الذهاب الى المنتجع فيه صعوبه يعطونا خبر بذلك عشان نحجز ليلة في مالي واليوم الثاني نروح لهم لكن عشان ما عشان ما نطالبهم بالتعويض عن الليله وعن تذكرة الذهاب برحلة الطائرة البحرية ممرطونا ممرطه وبهذلونا. والامر الثاني السعر غالي جدا جدا واي فعالية عندهم لازم تدفع ودائما المسؤله عننا ايفا تطلب الذهاب الى الاستقبال للدفع علما اننا دافعين مسبقا.

Pros: Everything! It was an experience! From the moment arriving at airport Male, the receivement, the guidance towards the seaplane, the lounge, the arrival, the room, the direct contact with your assistant (butler), the staff in the restaurants, the incredible food as well in buffet as in a-la-carte, the room was great. It was a true experience. Can highly recommend the Standard!

Pros: I recently stayed at The Standard in the Maldives with my family for a week, and it was an absolutely amazing experience filled with exceptional service and genuine hospitality. A special shout-out to Bassu from The Standard lounge at Male airport, who ensured our comfort and well-being from the moment we arrived. Salty (Instagram: @salty_hoho) took us on a fantastic snorkeling adventure with turtles and was incredibly patient with our children, even lending them life vests for more snorkeling at the resort. Chetan, the security personnel at the supply jetty, impressed us by turning our initial disappointing snorkeling experience into an entertaining spectacle for the kids with some bread and fish feeding. Our excursions with Hanim, including dolphin watching and night fishing, were unforgettable, thanks to his professionalism and patience. He even accommodated our kids when they felt seasick. Sanjay, the chef in the main kitchen, deserves special recognition for his mouthwatering 10/10 Butter Chicken lunch, which should definitely be on the menu. And last but not least, Prasanna, the Sous Chef of the resort, wowed us with a delicious off-menu Thai Chicken Curry. His culinary skills and willingness to accommodate our requests truly made our dining experience special. In conclusion, our stay at The Standard Maldives was truly memorable, thanks to these exceptional individuals. The resort's commitment to guest satisfaction is commendable, and we can't wait to return.

Absoluter Traumurlaub im besten Ambiente. Das Essen ist hervorragend und immer abwechslungsreich und frisch. Die a la Carte Restaurants sind auch top. Anreise, Transfer, Koffer, Abholung: alles perfekt geplant und vom Hotel organisiert. Zimmer: sehr sauber, werden zwei Mal am Tag gereinigt. Hatten das AI plus Paket und haben am Ende nur für die Ausflüge und Jet Ski zusätzliche Kosten. Absolut empfehlenswert!

It was our 3rd time in Maldives and the 1st one at The Standard. We enjoyed every minute of it. The island is truly and naturally gorgeous, with a stunning lagoon, nice reef with lots of fishes under our villa and great beach. We had an ocean view overwater villa and it was comfortable, spacious and functional. Huge plus was having two additional beds for our kids without having to set them up in the middle of the room. The terrace also was big and with a lovely pool. We were in AI and the choice was nice, we could have dinner also in 2 specialty restaurants and many items in the menu were included. Cocktails were also tasty and well made. Probably would advise the Kuda restaurant to freshen up the menu as it felt pretty repetitive during lunches and dinners, but the quality was great anyway. We loved the vibe, a little more modern than most resorts, with some pool parties and nice music all around we weren't bothered at all, in fact we had lots of fun. What we truly appreciated was the staff working there, always greeting us with a smile, helping us with the kids and showing care and professionality. Kudos especially to Shaan, who patiently answered to all our questions and was always very responsive whenever we needed his help. Special mention also to the Kids Club staff, especially Asma and Daria, they truly made a difference, they showed passion and dedication in their job and my children really felt it. They were so sad to leave! Overall, we had a wonderful family holiday and highly recommend the Standard Maldives.

We were here for 4 nights and were just overwhelmed by the beauty of this island. We did guided snorkelling, Hasan was a wonderful guide and ensured we were comfortable, being a non swimmer. Sunset Dolphin cruise was also a wonderful experience. A complimentary photoshoot at the venue captured romantic and breath taking views. Mohammed was our host for special dinner and good food with good conversations was fun. Only, the staff at dive center was the least concerned how our experience at the island is. Knowing scuba dive would not be a good one due to unsupportive conditions on the day, yet just to complete the formality, they took us only 5m deep in the lagoon were all we saw was each other. Water was milky and nothing was visible. While we understand conditions can be unpredictable, knowing client is spending USD 400 for the experience, Rio and other guy did not care a dime about it. They could have easily rescheduled it or take us to a better location. Horrible experience and a total rip off. I am sure they are belittling the excellent effort put by rest of the staff. So prospective travellers, ensure you are not treated like this by people at dive center

We are celebrating our 15th anniversary and both our 40th birthdays at this resort. Staff has been friendly. Other than BBQ shak, service has been good. Bbq shak restaurant had limited menu options inspite of all inclusive and was painstakingly slow service. We arrived in Maldives in the afternoon. We were told that they would take us to a seaplane transfer lounge area where we would be able to grab a drink and snack since we were starving. Had early morning 7am breakfast and it was 2pm. We never made it to the lounge. We got seated in some common area and the seaplane was ready to board in sometime. We got to our room at the Standard by 4.30pm after completing check-in formalities. No snacks on property. They offer dinner at 6.30pm so we ordered something from the a la carte menu. Its a bit of a turn off wen you're paying for all-inclusive and yet having to pay on top coz they do not offer FOOD or snacks between 2.30- 6.30pm!! So if u got kids, be warned and pack your snacks! We stayed in room 47 facing the ocean, super private. They were nice enough to accommodate us to move to room 57, which was lagoon facing(more clear water). Unfortunately, it's been raining every single day since we arrived so the water has been choppy with waves. We managed to snorkel a bit. I write this review at 2.30AM coz our neighbors next door decided to blast off loud music and party the night away! I think the frontdesk must have received several complaints but it took them a while to calm the craziness! I would probably not recommend this place to friends only because I've had as many negatives to match up the positives. I spend the time and money and travel this far for peace and tranquility. Sadly disappointed! This was supposed to be epic. We flew from the US for this! Stay was 5 nights. Kula is the only restaurant option without a reservation and buffet style. Gets a bit monotonous if you're there 5 nights. Other 2 are BBQ shak( limited menu options or you pay extra for the starred items on menu) or gudaguda. Both restaurants were fully reserved when we arrived, so make sure to get all your reservations done the day you arrive, including excursions like diving and water activities! They do offer the floating breakfast but book in advance coz they sure get their slots filled up fast. Basically, it's been work when all you should be doing is chill. Sorry, I truly wanted to write a positive review for this place!

Absolutely perfect place. Looks even better than on the picture. The food in restaurant is amazing. Everyday different meals, fresh fruits, juices and many more. Also the stuff is very friendly and helpful. Recommend to stay in overwater villa with private pool. You can snorkel next to it and admire coral reefs. Thank you!

We recently stayed at The Standard, on our first trip to the Maldives. The whole experience was incredible from start to finish and I would recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to the Maldives. The island had a real chilled out vibe, and was quite informal which is exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in an ocean view hut over the sea, and the room was very comfortable. It wasn’t as luxurious as you might have at some other resorts, but there was everything you needed, and we really didn’t spend much time in the room during the day. There are plenty of options for activities organised by the hotel, and we especially enjoyed the turtle swimming expedition, and the sunset dolphin cruise. And during the day it was relaxing to spend time by the main pool, or doing one of the many water sports options. My highlight was the food! There were so many options considering we were on such a small island, and I’d recommend all of the dining options at the resort. My partner is gluten and dairy free, and the staff went out of their way to make sure there were enough options for him to choose from, and in the main restaurant they made him a bespoke dessert one evening. The service from the staff was 10/10, nothing was too much trouble for anyone and it’s because of this reason that we would consider coming back to stay at this resort. And our host Koky was extremely helpful with any requests that we had during our visit.

What an insanely gorgeous resort. Spent a week here in a two bedroom beach front villa which I can only recommend. I much prefer the nature surrounding these than the overwater lagoon ones. Yes, it’s less gimmicky but also just much more private. The beach is fantastic, the F&B including breakfast is delicious, massages were perfect. It’s indulgent and expensive to get there ( you have to pay extra for the transfer flights) but absolutely perfect for a week. I was worried about getting bored but there is also surprisingly a lot of things to do.

This was my first time visit to the Maldives and chose to stay at The Standard to celebrate our 5th year Anniversary and My Birthday. No Regrets or complaints about the place. It is picture perfect beautiful!!! Seaplane experience was exhilarating and the journey over pristine lagoons, crystal clear water was an experience worth. Speedboats are well maintained and clean, hard luck that we could not spot the Dolphins.Tidy rooms, clean pool, fishes at the reef was a pleasure to the eyes. We even spotted Sting Rays, they were very big indeed!! We had a FB included so Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner was good with a lot of options available to eat and savour at Kula. A Special shoutout to Mr. Jada - approachable, always checking if we were comfortable. Only disappointment - Our Host Mr.Fin did not make us feel good. At the beginning he was warm and welcoming. To highlight - We had to check for our own complimentary cake and wine that was provided only after my husband enquired for the same on our Anniversary. For my birthday, when my husband wanted to make sure if a cake would be sent a comment was passed saying “we have your passports, we track and send cakes you need not remind us as it will be taken care”. The cake was never sent until night and despite reminder from my husband and enquiring the same at reception, no action was taken or an apology was provided. I personally felt very bad and could feel how low my husband was when he came to me saying sorry and checking if we can celebrate my birthday with a cake when we are back to our country. A cake which was part of a package and not taken care did not complete my birthday at the The Standards. I feel such a small gesture which was missed would hamper the entire experience and highlighting the same as we had a disappointment to take back with us but did not want the The Standard to be rated less just for an ignorance from the Host. I understand it’s just a Cake but that’s how celebrations start with and was promised for. Never the less, we walked back with memories of the white sands, blue water, fishes, islands and skies!!!!!! Thank you, The Standard!!!!

말레공항에서 비행기로 40분 거리에 있는 아름다운 섬입니다. 그렇게 작지도 크지도 않고 걸어다니며 산책하기에 좋은크기입니다. 식사는 개인적으로는 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다. 방 앞의 바다는 물고기도 많고 그렇게 깊지 않아 스노쿨링하기 좋았습니다. 직원들은 모두 친절했고 저를 담당해줬던 koky 역시 매우 친절하게 응대해줬습니다. 좋은 추억을 많이 만들고갑니다.

Sind zwar erst seit einem Tag hier, und Google nötigt mich bereits, Bericht zu erstatten.... Da wir in den letzten Jahren bereits auf mehreren anderen Inseln waren, haben wir einen guten Vergleich. Lage ist Hammer, die Wasservilla an der Lagune ist sehr komfortabel und das Wasser glasklar ohne Seegras und nur wenige abgestorbene Korallen vor der Villa und um die Insel herum. Service und Essen bis jetzt ebenfalls sehr gut. Noch relativ neu, da erst seit 2019 eröffnet. Host sagte, Riff ist auch gut... das werde ich aber noch testen und sollte es was negatives geben, werde ich meine Rezension noch erweitern... und auch was bei Youtube gezeigt wird, ist immer noch so! Schaut dort rein, um einen ersten Eindruck zu erhalten. Preisklasse ca 3600 pP für 14 Nächte mit HP und Flug, wenn man Schnäppchen sucht... bei uns war es Secret Escapes.....

المنتجع جميل بكل تفاصيله والاقامة فيه مريحة و اجمل كسر للروتين اليومي المعتاد ابتداء من الوصول حتى المغادرة ، لم تحد سلبيه واحد لكن شعرت ان المسافة بعيده قليلاً ٤٠ دقيقه بالطائرة المائيه لكن المنتجع يستحق العناء سوف اعود وبمده اطول باذن الله،شكراً للاخت كوكي 🩵🏝️

Amazing vacation we had with our family. Excellent staff always ready to help. Very good food. We are vegetarians. Enjoyed so many varieties of vegetarian options. My mother, 75 years along with my sister had absolutely great time. Very safe, clean and shallow waters with incredible colours. For the people who have fear of water, this is the best place for them to practice snorkeling and confidentially go to deeper places for better expeditions. I guess we chose the best place for family vacation. Thank you the team "The Standard"

Ich vergebe 5 Sterne für einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in einem wunderschönen Hotel! Es gibt einfach nichts aber auch gar nichts zu beanstanden! Eine wunderschöne saubere Anlage mit wundervollen Strand wie im Bilderbuch. Die Villen mit eigenem Pool sind unglaublich schön! Die Insel ist klein aber fein… mit den Hotel Fahrrädern kommt man von der Villa gut zum Haupthaus. Es gibt eine Riesen Auswahl an essen und die Qualität ist top! Die Anreise findet vom Male Airport mit dem Wasserflugzeug statt (ca 40min / 550 $) Es hat mich anfangs etwas abgeschreckt, muss ich Nachhinein aber sagen, dass der Flug mit dem Wasserflugzeug den ganzen Urlaub abgerundet hat, weil es ein absolutes Highlight ist. Danke an das ganze Personal des Hotels…. Alle waren unglaublich freundlich, stets hilfsbereit und gut gelaunt!

Alors par où commencer …. Tout d’abord, la communication avec l’hôtel avant mon arrivée était parfaite , ils répondent rapidement et à toute les questions ! Une fois arrivé, on a été accueilli par Shaan , personne super sympathique qui essaye de vous satisfaire au mieux et il m’a donné toute les informations de l’hôtel en temps réel via Whatsapp, tout les bons spots de snorkeling etc. Un 10/10. Pour la nourriture, nous étions en demi pension , le petit déjeuner est excellent et le dîner du soir tout simplement merveilleux, ce n’est pas une usine avec 200 choix qui poussent les gens au gaspillage alimentaire comme dans les hôtels all inclusive de la Tunisie ou de l’Égypte , mais les produits sont frais, de qualités, l’hygiène est scrupuleusement vérifié, aucun risque de tomber malade avec les glaçons et l’eau courante, et certains plats sont préparés à la demande ( mention spéciale au chef qui fait les pâtes dans la meule de parmesan , c’est à tomber par terre tellement c’est bon !! ) L’agencement de l’île est parfaite , possibilité de se déplacer en vélo ( ce qui est un gros + ). Les palmes sont prêtés gratuitement et 1h de kayak par jour est offert. Maintenant parlant du point exceptionnel de l’hôtel. Il est situé sur la limite de l’atoll de Raa et l’atoll de Baa , et durant la période mai - novembre , des centaines de raies manta vont se nourrir dans une baie connu mondialement, hanifaru bay ( a 30min en bateau de l’hôtel ). Cet endroit est tout simplement merveilleux !!! Nager avec ces créatures magiques n’a pas de prix ! L’organisation est vraiment top , vous vous inscrivez sur la liste des personnes intéressées et pour éviter de vous faire payer une excursion pour rien , l’hôtel s’assure au près des rangers présent sur le site, que les mantas sont présentes avant de vous emmener et ça c’est un signe de respect du client , vous serez prévenu à la dernière minute certes , mais avec une garantie proche de 100% d’en voir. L’excursion vers hanifaru bay est à faire obligatoirement en séjournant ici !!! J’ai eu la chance d’avoir le guide de snorkeling « saltyhoho » , une personne incroyable, très sympathique qui prend le temps de vous expliquer les conditions pour en voir , et surtout qui discute en temps réel avec ses amis locaux pour trouver les regroupements de raies manta ainsi que les requins baleine. Par exemple, après avoir été à hanifaru bay , il a reçu un message en disant qu’il y avait des centaines de manta sur notre chemin du retour , il a pas hésité à faire un 2eme arrêt pour qu’on les voit ! Concernant le récif de l’hôtel , là aussi un sans faute. Des milliers de poissons , des tortues géantes , des requins de récif , des raies aigles , des raies pastenague, des dauphins à 50metres des villas sur l’eau et j’ai eu la chance de voir une manta au large de ma chambre également ! Encore une fois , j’ai envoyé des messages au guide de snorkeling, il m’a répondu en moins de 2min pour me donner les meilleurs moments pour nager avec les plus belles créatures. Bref une vie marine incroyable, malgré que les coraux soient un peu abîmés par la température élevé de l’eau ( comme partout dans le monde malheureusement). Et pour couronner le tout , l’hôtel se situe à 16km d’un restaurant sous marin. La aussi , j’ai demandé si c’était possible de m’emmener, les gérants ont tout suite organisé mon transfert vers le restaurant, en attendant que je prenne mon repas et ils m’ont ramené à un prix très très correct pour les Maldives. Je reviendrai avec grand plaisir , merci pour ces vacances inoubliables ! J’ai beau cherché , je ne vois pas de points négatifs … c’est un 10/10 sans hésiter !

Paradise. An absolutely stunning hotel with attentive, kind staff and excellent food. I stayed a week and can’t wait to come back. - accommodation: we booked an over-water villa, which had excellent air con and amenities. My favourite thing about it was instant access to healthy coral reef for snorkelling, but I also loved the huge bathroom, very comfortable large bed and Bluetooth speaker for playing your own music. Also a really good minibar and coffee included. - dining: the buffet at breakfast was gorgeous and always with lots of choice. Lunch and dinner also wonderful - they serve in relatively small dishes so everything always tastes fresh (no huge platters sitting around going stale). The Maldivian restaurant guduguda was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten and the bbq shak was great fun and really delicious too. - activities: the sea! Diving and snorkelling is world-class here and the staff especially in the dive shop are so kind and knowledgeable. I only wish I could have done more! Boat trips to see turtles and dolphins are also such a treat. - spa: beautiful setting and so peaceful - beru bar: we saw (and joined in with!) karaoke in Arabic, Chinese, dhivehi and English. It was so much fun. Bar staff were so hospitable and made the evenings so memorable. - hosts: you get a named host for the whole of your stay you can WhatsApp for bookings, help, questions etc. this was such a nice touch and helped us feel we were getting loads out of our time. The Standard was out of this world! The Diving in particular made our holiday, it’s the best place we’ve ever been diving - and the instructors are extremely good - Ibrahim looked after us and really helped my partner whose a nervous diver feel calm throughout and enjoy the whole experience. They are very skilled and took us to some amazing spots! Going here and not diving would be a huge loss!

Mixed experience. Decent value for money, but NOT a luxury experiene in any way. I stayed for 5 nights with my wife and 1 year old baby girl. Here's the good & the bad. The good: The AI Plus package was attractively priced with spa and excursion included. Most of the staff at Kula, Todis & kids center were friendly. Special mention for Asma from kids club, Nelson & Santosh from Todis, Sanjay, Nanda, Jennifer, Rabbi & Naahy from Kula. They were all super helpful & friendly. Free cycle access is a big plus. Many resorts don't have that. THE BAD: A few of the staff members were borderline rude at times. Big red flag. Apart from Kula, Todis, joos cafe, everywhere else that extra warmth, care and focus on the guests satisfaction is missing. I think we were assigned an amateurish host/butler. He spoke sweetly but was a little careless on a couple of occasions. He didn't know I was Vegetarian, even though I had whatsapped and mailed the same to the hotel in advance. He screwed up the menu for a special dinner, & floating breakfast and a few more mistakes. He was apologetic though. But spoilt my mood anyway. I expected a host to understand all my food and activity preferences and plan my whole schedule. This experience was no where close. I had to know all the timings & limitations of various activities myself and plan myself and follow up with various departments in the resort. The seaplane transfers company they have tied up with is very bad. They wrongfully charged me 50$ for baggage. I had no information from standard about the luggage limit. My international flight from India didn't have a problem but TMA, the seaplane company did. Absolutely DISGUSTING way to rip people off. They also broke my favorite bag. I had to stress on the problem a couple of times with my host, he took this one seriously and escalated it. Then his boss adjusted the bag's cost in my bill, which I appreciate but it should have happened smoothly. I felt a pinch of arrogance in his boss (Naseef's) behaviour. He did his job though. Buggy service, housekeeping, etc can be very very late at times. They are probably understaffed. An iron I asked for at Monday 5 pm, was given to me at Tuesday 11 am after multiple follow ups & frowns. The bathroom is big and nice. I liked it. But the mirror had big marks of, I guess rust, and was placed in a wooden box that had the ply coming off. Looked bad and old. Again something I can't accept from an international brand that is being sold as a luxury destination by travel agent platforms. Event the shampoo, body wash given in the bathroom was underwhelming. Not nice at all. Dont expect 5 star service. Only a few of the staff members will go out of of their way to serve you. I was a bit taken aback when they told me that "aundry bags will be chargeable when I called for some before leaving. I typically take laundry bags from everywhere to separate my dirty clothes, and no one's had a problem ever. The boats they have for sunset cruise look cheap and old. I guess they are very very stingy. That cost cutting attempt reflects in mostly everything they do... It's a place with nice vibes, chilled out staff, amazing AI Plus package and nice views. Overall it's not bad at all, it was a decent experience and I am gonna miss the place. I did have a good time, but the service was a bother & the lack of top notch hospitality was a disappointment. If you want to be pampered with a lot of care and attention, this may not be a place for you. Food is nice, place is nice, service is sometimes okay, sometimes bad. Some staff are nice. Some staff are just okay. 7/10 overall.

We visited The Standard in January 2023 on our honeymoon, and absolutely loved it. The villas were great, the facilities were exactly what you want, but the main thing that turned it from great to amazing was the staff. To a person, they couldn't do enough for us from start to finish. They made us feel at home the second we arrived, and by the time we left, we were sad to say goodbye. While they were all fantastic, there were a couple of real stand outs who went above and beyond. The chef Prasanna, who took personal responsibility for ensuring my gluten free wife had amazing food every single day, cooking her individual dishes, and walking her through the available selection at every single meal The waiters Shak and Shifau who were so friendly and helpful every day, and we loved getting to know The manager Shasha who was just next level. Having him join us for a long chat on our final evening was a real privilege, and he genuinely cared about having a wonderful time (including hunting us down on the island to tell us that manta rays had been seen, knowing that was something we were desperate to see!) We would happily return to the Standard for many reasons, and the staff are a huge part of it. Thank you all!

Top resort truly 5 stars. Only thing to know is the fact that you do not have reef all around the island and the deep blue is not everywhere that close; yet once you get it you are in the usual wonderful frame set

度假村環境很好，海水非常漂亮。設施很完善。工作人員都很友好，我們訂了含早餐和晚餐你的房間，對餐飲也很滿意。皮划艇，槳板船及浮潛設備都是免費的之前看到很多度假村，這些都是要收費的。總之，這次入住是一次非常愉快的體驗。唯一有點遺憾的是，退房時説我們有一間房間消費了minibar的小食，幸好我們入住時拍了照片，提供給前台證明是他們當時就沒放這份零食，希望酒店能引以為鑒，避免再發生此類事件。

Perfect place for an ideal family or couple holiday out.... very nice.... highly recommended.... book all inclusive such that u save lots of for food.... Will surely visit again... forgot to mention the host Shaan who made everything clear and reachable at all times....and the hospitality.... nandhan... charan... all took great care of us... with specially prepared food....we really miss this place ...

Nous avons séjourné 15 nuits au The Standard en couple avec un enfant de 3ans. De la sortie de l'avion jusqu'à l'arrivée à l'hôtel, quelqu'un vous accompagne dans les démarches. Le transfert jusqu'à l'ile se faire en hydravion, il faut compter 45min de vol. L'hôtel à une décoration moderne, colorée et tendance. Nous avons choisi une villa overwater lagoon. La chambre est spacieuse, douche et immense baignoire dans la salle de bain, jacuzzi et escalier pour accéder au lagon. les masques de plongée et une bouée sont à disposition. La chambre est calme avec une climatisation efficace. Le ménage est fait 1 à 2 fois par jour. Avec un enfant il est préférable de choisir coté lagon, l'eau est peu profonde et le fond est du sable avec peu de coraux. Il y a des vélos à disposition pour se déplacer mais ce n'était pas possible avec notre enfant. Mais quand nous ne voulions pas marchés, le personnel venait nous chercher ou ramener en voiturette. Nous avions opté pour une formule All Inclusive Lite qui nous permettait d'avoir accès au buffet du restaurant principal matin midi et soir, ainsi qu'au bar toute la journée. Les sodas et les bières étaient également remis tous les jours dans le minibar de la chambre. Le buffet était bon et varié mais un peu trop gras à notre gout (les pates baignent dans le beurre). Le personnel a été incroyable pendant tout le séjour, surtout avec notre enfant. Nous avons eu la chance de voir dans le lagon entourant l'hôtel des raies, dauphins et bébés requins. Il y a un centre de plongée sur l'ile , le Carpe Diem, avec du bon matériel et des moniteurs qualifiés. Nous avons fait plusieurs plongées avec Ibrahim ou nous avons croisées requins et tortues. Nous partions en bateau en tout petit comité ce qui était agréable. Un Kids Club bien équipé est sur l'ile, mais accessible à partir de 4 ans. Pour notre enfant de 3ans il fallait réserver une babysitter pour le garder à 35$ / heure. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel, dans l'air du temps et avec un excellent rapport qualité / prix pour les Maldives

酒店勝在環境，沙灘無敵細膩雪白，日出真的是絕了，還有一條小拖尾沙灘，房間不奢華但是夠實用，晚上有DJnight和movie night很熱鬧，魚不多但是很大，餐廳食物少而精，味道做的不錯，比那些食物數量很多但沒幾個能好吃的強，總體評價是一家性價比很高的酒店，尤其是三個大人的價格尤為划算

This our 5th visit to the Maldives since 2012. The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives was a special experience. Excellent value for your money. Makes you think of coming back. We hired an overwater villa with a little pool (actually it’s a giant jacuzzi). The water of the pool/jacuzzi gets changed or added to daily and it’s well filtered. The room size is enough for two with all necessary amenities. The housekeeping come twice daily to tidy and clean the villas. We took the half board option and it was enough for us. However, others may prefer the full board if they do a lot of activities and consume energy. They have lots of water sports options and activities. We took their sunset fishing 2.5 hours tour. And it was amazing, we came back with plenty of fish with couple of other guests (see the photos). We also took a private cooking class with the great chef Rajesh. We prepared Maldivian salad, Maldivian soup and Maldivian fish (red snapper) with curry. The breakfast and dinner open buffet included lots of options. They would also have theme nights like Indian, Maldivian, and others. We are very much used to luxury resorts. However, this one was very practical and comfortable. I can’t really complain about anything. I expected the overwater villa would be noisy but it wasn’t. It was very well built of concrete and we isolated. Oh yes, swimming in the lagoon was amazing and very safe. I lost count of the exceptional staff, everyone literally was smiling day and night. They help you with pleasure. Thanks to our host “Eva”. She was very helpful and addressing all our needs and bookings. Thanks to Minha, Kawsar, Mohammed Rubel, Jada, Charan and all others really. Our only two notes, would be to enhance the spa experience and further train the pedicure & manicure staff. Secondly, the bed mattresses are a bit hard. I didn’t complain but my wife didn’t like it. Once again, this resort amazingly exceeded our expectations. Note: For those who complain about lizards. It’s part of the experience in the island life. However, if you don’t like it (like me), take an overwater villa.

We had a amazing honeymoon at The Standard. We are so happy we chose to come here. The management staff and all of the staff were so wonderful. Very sweet, and helpful people who care about what they do and their customer’s experience. We took advantage of their amazing house reef snorkeling, manta excursion, padi dive open water certification training, massages, wakeboarding and water skiing, paddle boarding… you name it we did it! We had a blast! Room was great, service was spectacular and if we had any feedback we let a manager (in this case Lijo) know who made immediate changes, and improved for future guests. Thank you Shamaa, Yoga, Ayyu, Faru (salty), rpanana, Melanie, Noor, Z (the best scuba instructor ever), the new chef and all of our amazing servers! Thank you for hospitality and for making us feel so welcome and comfortable every day! We left feeling like we had made so many friends and unforgettable memories.

The best hotel with the best staff, amazing food brilliant service.. I only had this honeymoon but it was the best honeymoon... Kim was amazing she organised everything for us and so was Usman amazing photographer and gave us (the best photoshoot)... everybody else in thr hotel was nice and hospitable....

We had a fabulous time at The Standard, Maldives. It's a tropical paradise. We loved wearing no shoes for the entire week. The sea life was spectacular. The vacation will live long in our kids' memories. Thank you for everything!

My recent stay at this exquisite The standard Huruvalhi was an absolute awesome. The attention to detail and the warm hospitality of the hosts truly made this experience unforgettable. Simply the most beautiful place in the world for us. Here everything is perfect and managed to perfection in every single detail. The attention they give to make you have the best days of your life is incredible. Dinner on Baby Island is a magnificent experience. A decent hotel/resort on the Maldives. Not sure how it got the Conde Nast best resort title - average food, below average offer of sports, good accommodation and friendly staff. Overall too expensive and too much hyped for what it offers - we would not come back

We stayed at The Standard over Christmas Dec 23 for 9 amazing nights as a family of 4. We split our stay in terms of accommodation with an ocean beach villa and then a lagoon overwater villa which was great to experience both sides of the island. The beach villa was like having your own private beach, so peaceful. The lagoon overwater villa was more social and great to see the fishes through the bathroom glass floor. Absolutely loved our stay. The island itself is stunning, white sand, clear waters, really well thought out layout of the activities, restaurants and amenities. Our host Alyssa was exceptional, always available to assist and sent us an itinerary each morning of what is on offer. She managed to get a beach table for the Christmas Eve gala dinner too which was much appreciated. We ate at all the restaurants which were all amazing. Special mention for Aiu and the island restaurant manager who were simply exceptional, looked after us so well, really nice to talk to and was great with our kids. Snorkelling was really good on the house reef, saw sharks, rays and hundreds of fish. Highly recommend The Standard, a real nice blend of relaxation, fun, activities, great food and amazing staff. We look forward to returning one day.

Wasn't sure which hotel to book originally since it was our first trip to Maldives & there are 100+ hotels/resorts to pick from. Turned out to be a very good choice. Service & food was excellent. Namely, Alicia, reception manager who was very helpful. Zinahu, the lead dive instructor was very professional & made our dives absolutely memorable. Shaah, our butler who arranged everything and made our trip even better. Shasha the assistant outlet manager made special arrangements when we couldn't get earlier dinner reservations and made things happen for us. Only downside was that 1 of the staff at the Todis bar didn't get our order correctly & blamed us for giving the wrong information, missed cutlery & claimed he had brought enough. Dinner at Izakaya was decent, but portion was small & waiting time very long. Didn't make sense that each seating only had 4-5 tables when there were still a lot of space. More kitchen staff need to be added to have faster service. Overall we enjoyed the trip and would love to be back!

Если Вы летите первый раз на Мальдивы, отель Стандард подойдет наилучшим образом. Я был на Мальдивах в четвертый раз и думаю что этот отель просто отличный. Потому что на Мальдивы я лечу, чтобы каждый день заниматься снорклингом на рифе, где начинается глубина, чтобы семье с детьми было удобно разместиться, чтобы видеть каждый день идеальную картинку, чтобы пить коктейли на закате, чтобы было тепло и днем и ночью. Все это в отеле есть и очень хорошо организовано. Бронировал через официальный сайт с программой stowaway, входит перелет на 2х взрослых на гидросамолете и скидка на всю еду и напитки 20%. После бронирования списывался с менеджером отеля и оплатил депозит 10% по ссылке с белорусской карты друга. Остальное наличными на ресепшен. Вилла на воде была с бесплатным апгрейтом и видом на океан. Рекомендую брать на океан. Идеальная картинка и близко выплывать смотреть рыбок. На вилле огромная кровать и еще 2 кровати по бокам для детей. Все это стандартно и не требует доплат, также есть большая терраса с бассейном, лежаками, столом и стульями, большая ванная с огромной ванной и душем. Вид из номера отличный, только на воду, небо и острова в далеке. Очень понравилось, что плавать смотреть рыб можно прямо из виллы и это не далеко. Метров 50 до глубины. Но надо иметь ввиду отлив и в него лучше не плавать, я в первый день поцарапался об коралл. Все остальные дни я учел отлив и все было отлично. На рифе, где идет линия глубины я каждый раз видел акул, один раз черепаху и один раз ската. Еще удобно занырнуть с пирса, где у отеля разгрузка, это справа от мальдивского ресторана, который на воде. Там дежурит сотрудник и ставит лестницу. Там сразу глубина и много рыб. Интересно плавать вдоль рифа между глубиной и самим рифом! На отмели и в одном месте не интересно. Почему-то 90% людей этого не понимают и вообще не знают что такое классный снорклинг. Видели там семейство скатов, было незабываемо. Вообщем риф в отеле хороший. Надо только учитывать течение и что риф иногда уходит в море от острова. Одевать ласты желательно, если плавать вдоль. Маски, трубки, ласты в отеле есть, но они так себе. Лучше брать свои хорошие маски и трубки Tusa например, а ласты взять в центре водных видов спорта. Это бесплатно. Кстати очень хороший центр, есть гидроцикл, катер, вейк, лыжи, ватрушки, каяки, даже для виндсерфинга хорошее оборудование, рядом приличный центр дайвинга, кому интересно. Рестораны в отеле не удивили. Мы из Москвы. ) Брали свежую рыбу в мальдивском, мясо в bbq, японский вообще не советую посещать. Дорого, мало и не вкусно. Кстати, везде отличное детское меню. Есть все что любят дети: сосиски с картошкой пюре, макароны с сыром, пицца, детские бургеры, наггетсы и тд можно заказать в любой ресторан и на виллу. В отеле порадовало что много хороших экзотических фруктов и на завтраке и постоянно заказывали фруктовые тарелки на виллу. На завтраке французские сыры и мед в сотах, есть отличная овсяная каша, станция по яйцам, по блинам, вафлям. Большая винная карта, постоянно брали просекко за 65 долл -20%. Порадовало, что отель дарил бутылки просекко на заезде, на католическое Рождество и на Новый год. Надо сказать, что столы на эти праздники ломились от свежайших деликатесов, свежий тунец, крабы, лангустины, целый поросенок, теленок, чего только не было. Куча сладкого и фруктов. На эти праздники пришлось обязательно оплатить ужины. Что не порадовало. Отель не лакшери в смысле идеализма во всем, в некоторых местах нужно уже что-то починить или заменить, например зеркало в ванной. В номере большой мощный и шумноватый кондиционер, я спал в берушах. Семья спала отлично. Не сильно порадовало обслуживание в барах. Долго ждать, пока официант подойдет принесет меню, потом примет заказ. Вообще я не понял почему есть сбор на сервис 10% везде и еще они в чеках пишут строчку с чаевыми. Также нам не совсем хорошо давали информацию о мероприятиях, приходилось просить, но Ева хорошая, все равно ей спасибо. Кстати мероприятий проходит много, есть тусовка у бассейна с диджеем, мини спортивными соревнованиями и хорошими призами по 75 долл. На виллах музыку особо не слышно. Надо сказать, что есть хороший детский клуб. Дети постоянно там что-то делали, готовили пиццу, суши, рисовали и тд. Есть отличное развлечение - надувной большой водный парк на воде. Напротив бассейна, бара. Легко контролировать детей не вставая с шезлонга или большого матраса. В итоге я рекомендую этот отель, особенно если это первая поездка на Мальдивы и особенно с детьми. Повторюсь, я был 4й раз на Мальдивах и мне очень все понравилось и запомнилось в отеле Стандард. Второй раз я бы не поехал, интереснее знакомится с новыми местами.

We stayed over the Christmas break for a few days and had high expectations given everything we read about the place and chose the Standard given its uniqueness and quirkiness. The good The island is stunning and perfectly maintained and is big enough to feel isolated and small enough to get around and explore. Most of the staff are really good - special call out to Jurda in Kuda, D at Beru Bar/Gudaguda and Shammau who looked after us There is genuine thought into experiences on the island which adds variety to your stay. There is many a tropical fish and shark to see when snorkling around which is also great The bad The meal plan is confusing and misleading - All Inclusive+ isn't really All Inclusive as you would expect as there are lots of items on menus in restaurants (and in minibars) that add an extra charge and most of the time are way overpriced. We also had to pay an additional ‘mandatory’ $200 per person for the ‘festive feast’, on top of what we already paid; on one hand, it was a spectacle for the eyes and it was great to see the staff happy with what they achieved, but for the customer, the food we had was cold (Turkey and trimmings) and not what I would have expected and was not worth the additional fee (even with the planned entertainment which was pretty questionable in all honestly). Food in the main buffet restaurant (Kuda) has a lot of variety but generally very much of the same for lunch and dinner and often not that great/tasty. We could book the other restaurants for additional choice which was much better (more often with greater choice and additional charges). The ‘just ok’ but improvements easy to make Generally the service is good but at times it took too long for a coffee or a glass of wine to come - often the waiting staff were too busy and forgot or some just didn't bother and couldn't care and that was the case on a few occasions - we definitely felt the rudeness of some of the staff members The rooms are a decent size - we had a over the water villa but the decor looks tired (rust on mirrors, chipped paintwork...) The steps leading into the water gave way on us given the wood had rotted and the handrail was shaky and held together with 2 nails (all a bit odd) The linen on the bed is just ok, the pillows were lumpy and the towels looked old and tired - all of which you would expect 5 star quality/finishing from both the 5 star claims of the resort and the price point paid (we paid 1'600 USD per night) The bikes that are made available need some maintenance with some care and attention The ugly Value for money - for the price paid and accepting it's generally more expensive over the Christmas period, we felt it was too overpriced for what we got taking everything into account. When we challenged the price to the hotel before we arrived, we had seen the same villa and meal plan available for much cheaper we were told in no uncertain terms, the price you book is price you pay and no room for change...despite being pegged to USD FX where the benefit in change is to the hotel and not to the customer. The resort manager did take off our additional $200 charges for the Hammam spa treatment (wasn’t so much a Hammam treatment rather than a bowl of soaps and moisturisers to apply to yourself – not generally the experience $200 would get you) as well as a $200 charge for lunch which was not included in the All-Inclusive plan we had (we were never told it’d be extra). So, in summary, overall the expectations were not met at the Standard, perhaps expectations were too high, but with the price and reviews read, its what we believed. Nevertheless, our feedback was shared with the resort manager. We changed our flights and the resort manager arranged us to spend the day in a Male hotel before our flight that evening which was a nice gesture but with weather conditions pretty bad on day of departure, we had to leave early, the transfer to Male was not a great experience; seaplanes were all cancelled and we had to board a speedboat to in a storm to a nearby island for a commercial flight and this boat ride was pretty treacherous, coupled with constant delays we never got to ‘experience’ Male at all. Yes, it is a lovely resort and we can see how it appears in most reviews of ‘The best of the Maldives’ but the experience just doesn’t live up to it (or the Standard brand experience). If you are looking for luxury and 5 star service you probably ought to look elsewhere because it isn’t what you get here.

We had an amazing holiday at The Standard Huruvalhi in November. From the seaplane journey, followed by the speedboat to being greeted by amazing staff after a long journey, we felt so welcomed. Our over-water lagoon villa was amazing and we felt so relaxed just looking at the stunning variety of fish. We also loved cycling around the island. A very different experience for us. The choice of restaurants was perfect. All staff at the resort go above and beyond expectations to make everyone feel very special. Special thanks to Bavan at Beru Bar and Sacha at the BBQ Shak and GuduGuda for making our holiday extra special with your hospitality.Thank you also to Charan who was so helpful and kind. To Koky, our host a special thank you for helping us with our requests during our holiday. You made things so easy for us. Lexie was an amazing DJ who added such a relaxed vibe to the resort with her amazing choice of music. We enjoyed dancing on the white sand beach. Extra special thank you to Mohammed for organising a very special Birthday dinner at Beru Bar. A birthday experience that I will never forget. Thank you also to the amazing chef. This was such a special treat. The Japanese facial treatment therapy from Dr Aradhana was an experience that was unlike any treatment I have ever experienced at any Spa. Such a calming, experienced therapist. Combining several therapies during treatment, I felt so light and energised after this. We totally relaxed on this holiday and were sad to leave you all. Our memories have made us smile every day. We are so looking forward to visiting you all again this November.

Amazing trip. Thanks to Aszma, Aaris and the rest of the staff for taking such good care of us. Beautiful resort, very relaxing and staff go above and beyond. Saw lots of tropical fish, baby sharks and a turtle too. Kids club was excellent too, lots of great structured activities as well as play time.

Great family vacation in a magical place. Everything is great in this place and we have the impression of being alone in the world. I deduct 1 star for the high cost of the excursions because at 4 people it obviously cost quickly and the return by speedboat was chaotic with a pilot who was a little too hasty. big up to Jordan the best server ever! It was our 3rd time in Maldives and the 1st one at The Standard. We enjoyed every minute of it. The island is truly and naturally gorgeous, with a stunning lagoon, nice reef with lots of fishes under our villa and great beach. We had an ocean view overwater villa and it was comfortable, spacious and functional. Huge plus was having two additional beds for our kids without having to set them up in the middle of the room. The terrace also was big and with a lovely pool. We were in AI and the choice was nice, we could have dinner also in 2 specialty restaurants and many items in the menu were included. Cocktails were also tasty and well made. Probably would advise the Kuda restaurant to freshen up the menu as it felt pretty repetitive during lunches and dinners, but the quality was great anyway. We loved the vibe, a little more modern than most resorts, with some pool parties and nice music all around we weren't bothered at all, in fact we had lots of fun. What we truly appreciated was the staff working there, always greeting us with a smile, helping us with the kids and showing care and professionality. Kudos especially to Shaan, who patiently answered to all our questions and was always very responsive whenever we needed his help. Special mention also to the Kids Club staff, especially Asma and Daria, they truly made a difference, they showed passion and dedication in their job and my children really felt it. They were so sad to leave! Overall, we had a wonderful family holiday and highly recommend the Standard Maldives.

Biking around island very cool experience. Little careful if you wobble on bike. Need to bike on a straight path or you can literally fall into the water. We have heard of people falling in. No serious injuries or anything but can be little bit of a shock. Bathroom cool experience, 2 glass panels to see down into Indian ocean. Walk into lagoon from room. Snorkel around. Plunge pool also very nice in balcony in room. Gym not world class but small cozy and probably what you can expect on Small island resort in the Indian ocean. Not really sustainable for bigger I guess. Food - huge variety. Very flexible and accommodating. Sanjay Singh was the chef and we informed of our vegetarian and diet and he prepared special food every day for us. Very caring considerate service given the open Buffet. Crowd - very mixed but mostly family with young children from various areas. Activity- daily lots to do. Secret Santa, obstacle course race, scuba sessions they show. Free kayak and paddle board. Lots of water activities. Snorkel around and pool very nice. Highly recommend taking full board or all inclusive so food and drinks is all covered at stay.

I was at the Standard for my honeymoon. One of the main things that stood out for me is the level of care we got. We were taken very good care in this property and definitely felt very special and welcomed. Our host Shamaau ensured we had a great time and made sure we had everything we needed. The customer service at this property is the best I’ve ever experienced through my travels. Everyone was just lovely. Really enjoyed my beautiful over water bungalow. I also highly recommend the scuba diving here. The team is very friendly and helpful and you’ll miss this place once you leave.

Spent a week in December with my husband and kids (including baby). We didn’t opt for all inclusive but had half board with breakfast and dinner. Meal and drinks prices were at par with any other mid-high end resort. Positives 
 -Food was good, lots of variety each buffet. 
 - Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone on the resort was super polite, greeting you every time you crossed paths, offering you rides in the buggy etc. 
 - Loved the interiors at the main club house as well as the rooms. Kids club needs a little bit of an uplift though. Interior and equipment wise they can do better. 
- Housekeeping is done twice a day. 
 - We had a lagoon facing villa (not far off from the resort - villa 82). Loved how spacious it was and could accommodate our 2 children + a baby comfortably. The bathroom was extra large and funky with a disco ball shining above you at all times. The deck was nice and spacious too and loved having a plunge pool to ourselves overlooking the island. - The resort is picturesque from every angle. The lagoon is beautiful crystal clear waters and white sand. The beach towards the ocean side had rougher waters for anyone looking to jump on waves, my kids loved it. - The island was quiet during our stay which was amazing, felt like we had the place to ourselves. 
 Cons
 - Not much sea life around. We saw the occasional stingray and shark that excited us, otherwise it was just regular fish that too not too many of. We didn’t snorkel much but this is what we saw while walking on the beach/platform (maybe the ocean side villas saw more). - Entertainment wasn’t exciting. Movie nights didn’t really showcase anything exciting and there were not many other fun events happening other than the 1 night where they had the maldivian dance. Wish there was more for us/kids to do at night. - Would’ve been nice to include a few more free water sports - I believe just the kayak or paddle board for an hour per villa was complimentary. - Not many other complimentary activities offered - even yoga was a pricy event. Scuba diving in the pool seemed to be the only service they were providing. I would recommend the resort though. I would go back again if i didn’t have the urge to try new places! Loved the resort, the villa, the food, the people! Just being able to relax, switch off and enjoy those Maldivian sunsets was a treat.

This month , my husband and me visited great hotel in Maldives . The Standard is very good hotel with comfortable accommodation and tasty food , also stuff is really professional in any part of the hotel. In the restaurants , spa , reception desk, everywhere people are ready to help you , especially I want to say big thanks boys from Beru bar 👋👋 Bavan and Mr. D are really great and opened people with great talent. Cocktails 🍹 in this bar are really good 👍 and atmosphere too . If you want to relax , dance 🪩 and drink 🍹 good cocktails.. visit this bar and enjoy!! My recommendations

Everything was perfect, people, room, location, food, activities, everything. The room was perfect, with a wonderful view and high standard. The location of the hotel left us speechless, we saw sharks, rays, turtles, beautiful fishes directly from the hotel. You can use free bikes for getting around, which is very useful. The buffet was perfect, our best buffet experience in hotel. We had 45 usd per night to try other restaurants but we really enjoyed the buffet so we didn’t used them. A lot of activities, we made Tuttle snorkelling (we saw several turtles), dolphin sunset cruise (we saw a lot of dolphins, it was unbelievable with the sunset), scuba diving (we saw fishes, turtles, and a shark 🦈), jet ski. You can also have a kayak for 1 hour per day for free. We want to thank you for the honeymoon gifts. A special thanks to : Shaan who took really care of us during our stay, the buffet team (Mohammed, …) who made us feel like privileged people, Mohsen from house keeping team who took care of our room, to Alham for the dives, and to all of you for taking care of us. Amazing food every day. Huge bed. Good daily activities. Very good snorkling, many sharks, sea turtles, eagle rays and more. The island is beautiful and water villa is amazing just next to coral reef. Service is really great, very helpful staff. Not so many bicycles, often they were gone.

We have just returned from the Standard hotel. We are still floating on air on how amazing the experience was. From the moment we arrived Eva greeted us with coconut ice cream and although we were tired frown the long journey. We could not stop smiling and feeling like the luckiest people on earth. The room was perfect overlooking the sea made it secluded and peaceful. We had champagne and sweets on arrival. The bed was incredibly comfy. We would like to shout out to Bevan in the Beru bar. He went out of his way to make our whole holiday experience incredible. His eye of detail and special cocktails really were out of this world. I think it’s fair to say we will be back at the Standard hotel. Hopefully for our 1st anniversary as I can’t wait too long to be back there. :)

This was the most beautiful vacation we have ever had. The team, and especially our host Koky, went above and beyond to make us enjoy our vacation to the maximum. The villas are quite spacious and each one has its private pool. The resort was at nearly full capacity when we went, but we still had a feeling of being completely private. I feel like we would mainly see people at meal and snack time. The food was amazing, the facilities were great. The most magical parts were sunsets and starry night sky. It felt like it came straight out of a postcard. The wildlife was incredible. Imagine just waking up and taking 20 steps to the ocean where you are seeing beautiful coral and fish. I still cannot reiterate enough just how amazing the wonderful people working in the resort were. From the second you land to the airport until you leave, they take such wonderful care of you. Everyone is so kind and always welcoming with a smile. Spa staff was also very accommodating and kind. Your villas get cleaned several times a day, and water is replaced regularly. It was worth every penny! The only thing we regret is not staying longer, which next time we are planning to do. Thank you for wonderful memories The standard team :)

This is our first time to Maldives and we had a wonderful experience staying at The Standard Huruvalhi. The whole trip was planned last minute ( a day before the trip) so we were skeptical about many things but everything so perfect right from the word go. There are many amazing souls here at The Standard and all of them smiling faces and ready to help always. Shaan received us well and took care of us during the whole trip ( he was our host), Nelson and Hari were bubbly guys who gave us nice drinks and vegan food. Hari was the best and we became good friends, he gave us so many suggestions which made our short trip truly memorable. Sanjay, the Indian chef was always there to give us nice Indian food, he made nice dosa and uthappam for us on all days. Bavan from the Beru bar makes excellent cocktails, frankly we havent had anything like that before. Then Renjith Saj from the SPA and we became good friends. Nanda the executive chef was an amazing guy who arranged for a special dinner for us after leaders sip n chat evening. He even played tennis with us. He is a wonderful person. Overall we had a great 3 days experience staying at the Standard. It's a beautiful place with so much to offer and you wouldn't have to think for a moment what to do next!

한국인 리뷰가 많이 없어서 일부러 적어요 예전에 음식 맛없다는 후기들 때문에 안 망설이셔도 되요 맛있어요ㅋㅋㅋ 제가 싱겁게 먹는 편인데 음식이 짠편도 아니여서 잘 먹고 왔어요 살만쪄옴ㅋㅋ 스노클링도 처음 해봤는데 재밌어요 워터빌라 바로 앞에 수심이 깊지 않아서 저처럼 초보도 물고기들 볼 수 있어요 물고기들이랑 거북이들이랑 다 잘 보고 왔고 마사지도 좋았어요 모든 스태프들이 다 친절했지만 특히 총괄매니저 사샨님과 이바님 정말 감사합니다 샤샨님 한국말 너무 잘하심ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그리고 엄청 유쾌하세요 밥먹고 있으면 항상 모든 사람들에게 인사하러 와주세요ㅎㅎ 한국분들이 잘 안가시나봐요 저희도 알고 간거긴 하지만 진짜 아예 없을줄이야 ㅋㅋ 다른나라 커플들도 허니문으로 많이들 오시던데.. 가족 친화적인 리조트이지만 아이들이 있어 시끄럽거나 불편한 점은 없었어요 저희는 정말 잘 쉬다 왔네요! 좋았어요!

My wife and I recently visited The Standard for 5 days for our Honeymoon and it was the best resort we have ever visited in the world by far. From booking to check out, the entire process was absolutely seamless. Upon arrival we were greeted by our personal host Shaan who took the time to check us in and gave us a tour of the entire resort/island with a golf cart before bringing us to our breathtaking overwater lagoon villa. Each morning Shaan would message us the planned daily activities as well as the optional excursions available for each day. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly and genuinely wanted to help. The food and drinks were 5 star. Shaan booked us a complimentary honeymoon sunset dinner directly on the beach which was breathtaking. While at the dinner, staff prepared our room with champagne and filled the bathtub with hot water and decorated it with flowers which was unexpected and very thoughtful. Absolutely nothing negative to say about this place, we will be back 100%. Do not hesitate, book it!

Discover a stunning island featuring exquisite overwater villas and a welcoming staff. I would recommend to take the villas on the right side as this is closer to the ocean! The hotel provides a myriad of activities catering to both adults and children, ranging from snorkeling and paddling to indulging in relaxing massages or invigorating yoga sessions. Whether you prefer biking, hitting the gym, or playing tennis, this hotel offers a diverse array of options plus gives you coupons and F&B credit. Prices for spa activities are a bit expensive but you will receive a spa credit as well. Seaplanes only flies during the daylight. No seaplanes are available after 2 pm so consider this for your flights.

我们在这里玩了5天四晚，住了沙屋和水舞，两个房间各有特点，可能软装一般般但还过得去，喜欢这边的环境，即使查天气预报有暴风雨但是这边依旧很晴朗，只有晚上下雨了，所以不要担心天气，也不用担心蚊虫，这次体验很好，管家Alyssa的中文很好，也回复很及时，好评！每天我们都很早入睡，没办法看他们的活动表演让我们很遗憾，如果活动能早点就好了，蜜月的烛光晚餐我们吃得不太习惯，只喝了少量香槟，我俩第二天都非常头痛……还有就是WIFI会有时候断断续续，这个希望提高，但听说已经算是在马代算好的了

So worth it! We recently stayed here for a full week during our first visit to the Maldives and had such a great experience from beginning to end. We had previously stayed in other Standard’s properties (Bangkok and London) so we already had high expectations for service and quality and the Standard in Maldives didn’t disappoint in that area. The hotel is definitely a more “affordable option” that still allows you to enjoy the luxury and secluded experience of visiting this paradise country. As most resort islands, they set up the sea plane transfer from Male airport for you ahead of your arrival. Someone from the staff will pick you up at the airport with a sign and take you to a private airport lounge where you can wait for your seaplane flight (operated by a different company) while enjoying beverages and snacks. Once you get to the resort, they will greet you at the dock and welcome you warmly while explaining all the details of your stay in the island, including a tour by golf cart and access to your over water bungalow, everyone is so nice and displays highly customer-oriented attitude at all times. Special shout-out to Harish (from the bar), Fin (our island host) and Jarda from the restaurant/buffet who went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one! Such friendly staff. Definitely recommend to choose the all inclusive package when booking as it’s so worth it, the food at the main restaurant is amazing and the cocktails/alcohol selection at Tody’s bar is pretty good. Each bungalow has direct access to the ocean with lots of sea life (manta rays, fish, etc) and they provide complimentary snorkeling gear. We tried the food at the other three restaurants on the island (BBQ Shak, Isakaya, and GuduGuda) and the food, experience and service level was also really good. Our all inclusive plan included one activity and we decided to go on the snorkeling safari which was such a good choice for us! We saw beautiful fish, and sea turtles and had a great time.

Everything was absolutely amazing. We had certain expeditions but it was exceeded. Special thanks to our personal manager Shaan, who made all our activities planning super easy and convenient. Coral reef is wonderful as well. So highly recommend to choose ocean villas to enjoy morning snorkeling

We chose the Standard for our honeymoon location after our wedding in December. We traveled from Miami and we must say the trip is not for faint of heart but totally worth it! We have many experiences in Caribbean destinations so our standard is pretty high. The Maldives completely took our breath away! The weather, the water, the service is all 100% quality. Eva was our receiver to the Maldives and she is wonderful, a true diamond! She made sure we were welcomed properly and even made our reservations for dinner throughout the week. 100% pay for the all inclusive. My advice to anyone thinking about booking at The Standard Maldives, congratulations you made the right choice !

We recently stayed at The Standard, on our first trip to the Maldives. The whole experience was incredible from start to finish and I would recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to the Maldives. The island had a real chilled out vibe, and was quite informal which is exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in an ocean view hut over the sea, and the room was very comfortable. It wasn’t as luxurious as you might have at some other resorts, but there was everything you needed, and we really didn’t spend much time in the room during the day. There are plenty of options for activities organised by the hotel, and we especially enjoyed the turtle swimming expedition, the cooking class, and the sunset dolphin cruise. And during the day it was relaxing to spend time by the main pool, or doing one of the many water sports options. My highlight was the food! There were so many options considering we were on such a small island, and I’d recommend all of the dining options at the resort. My partner is gluten and dairy free, and the staff went out of their way to make sure there were enough options for him to choose from, and in the main restaurant they made him a bespoke dessert one evening. The service from the staff was 10/10, nothing was too much trouble for anyone and it’s because of this reason that we would consider coming back to stay at this resort. And our host Koky was extremely helpful with any requests that we had during our visit.

We loved every aspect of our stay and would love to return! From the email contact as soon as the reservation was made, until we parted the team at the Male Airport, we were spoiled by the staff at every level, by the activities offered, and the cleanliness of the facilities. So much care is given to every detail! *After landing, we had someone meet us with a Standard sign and took us to check in with the TWA Seaplane agents. We were able to wait in the Standard’s lounge and relax with refreshments until it was time to board the plane. *Once we arrived, we were met by Shamaau, our fantastic personal island host with the best smile and service. He gave us cool towels and coconut ice cream to cool off. He was quick to have us go to the buffet lunch before it closed while he finished checking us in - we were so happy he thought of that. *We were driven to our reef-side above ocean villa accompanied by Shamaau. Our luggage had already been placed in our room and Shamaau introduced us to our room and explained anything we needed to know. During the trip we could contact him at any time to help with excursions or ask questions. He also kept in touch each day with a menu of activities and made a point of asking how we were enjoying our stay. *Ibrahim at Carpe Diem Dive Center took such great care of us! I will never forget his laugh! My husband finished his 4 open water dives to complete his certification and Ibrahim helped us both with our Nitrox certification during our stay. He is professional and kind and we loved diving with him! The diving is spectacular! There are so many large schools of fish and beautiful corals! We were too late for whale sharks and manta rays (come no later than October) but we saw eagle rays, white tip reef sharks, sting rays, turtles, octopus, yellow box fish, stone fish and eels. The whole team was amazing and professional (Rio was especially fun). We had fantastic equipment including dive computers and they had drinks, fresh pastries and fruit on board the boat between dives. *We did the Castaway Picnic which was incredible! We had a large island all to ourselves for two hours! We arrived by small boat and two beautiful shade structures were set up - one with our delicious picnic, the other with comfortable lounges. The beach and water were unreal! We swam and snorkeled, ate and relaxed before the boat came back to get us. *Our room was perfect! The in floor windows were fun - we saw a ton of fish and even a baby shark! This disco ball and ukulele were such fun touches! The bed was comfortable with a view of the ocean. Our deck was large and we loved laying on the lounge chairs. The plunge pool was refreshing and having steps into the ocean for snorkeling was our favorite. If you don’t SCUBA, you can still see so many fish and coral on the reef! *The spa had a wonderful staff and was spotless. We enjoyed yoga, swimming, snorkeling, the in-water hammock, and the quiet pool deck. There were several complimentary activities and treatments we participated in as well. *The community infinity pool and beach were phenomenal. It’s a great place to have a drink and cool off while enjoying the views and meeting travelers from around the world or sticking to yourself if you wish. *Having bikes to use was fun and helpful getting from our villa to the dive center for early dives, meals, or the workout room. *The food offered for the full board (3 meals/no alcohol) was incredible. The variety, the attention to various dietary needs, local and European cuisine and how it was all presented was welcome. It was a bit hard to say no to the desserts at every meal but there were plenty of activities to burn calories if we ate too much. The staff at meals get to know you and your tastes quickly which is fun. *We were met at the airport by more friendly staff who led us to the shuttle from the seaplane to the main airport. Once there they stayed with us and offered to book us a room to nap and dinner since we had a 6 hour layover. Again, thoughtful details from kind staff. Our time was too short, but we are forever grateful for the care, adventures, and for the friends we met during our stay. The Standard is a delight and we hope to return soon with many of our family and friends.

Such a beautiful island. The beach the beautiful colour of the sea, everything was perfect. They have several restaurants for you to pick from all different cuisines Guda Guda was our favourite! We stayed in a lagoon beach villa it has everything you need in the room. There so much to do with boat trips. Water sports or just relaxing by the pool. We went for our honeymoon and was given a romantic dinner on the beach which was really nice touch. The staff are the best part of the holiday, nothing is too much for them, they always greeted us with a smile in all areas of the resort, we had some brilliant nights, great laughs and made some really great friends, Bavan and Mr D (Shaan) from Beru Bar, Lexi the resident DJ. You all made our holiday unforgettable. Thank you Standard Maldives, we will be back 😊

We had a wonderful week in the Standard Hotel. For us, it felt like paradise, so dreamy. A beautiful island with white sand beaches and transparent turquoise waters full of sea life. The snorkeling was amazing! We loved our ocean Villa! Very private, with a great oceang view. Riding bikes around the island was also fun. The restaurants offer a variety of different cuisine, we especially liked the Maldiven restaurant GuduGuda. A date night in a private beach cinema was a great experience! So was a full moon bonfire event. All the staff was very friendly and helpful! Special thanks to Eva! We are very grateful for these days in your resort. Hope we can come back soon again!
