Dhigufaru Island Resort

Seaplane 

• The resort is approximately 40 minutes away from Velana International Airport by seaplane.
• These aircraft (DHC-6 Twin Otter) are customized for water landing, their flying hours are restricted to daylight hours by the Aviation Authority of Maldives. Taking into consideration customs clearance, flying duration to the resort, and its return requirement to its base at Male airport, same-day transfers are guaranteed to all arriving guests, whose arrival time at Male’ airport is before 3.00 pm Maldives Standard Time. For departing guests, seaplane transfers can be arranged for guests whose international flight departs from Male after 9 a.m. Maldives Standard Time.
• The baggage allowance is 20kg and 5kg hand luggage. Any excess baggage is chargeable at a cost of US$5 per kg and payable at the airport.
• Due to the operational policy of the seaplanes, the carrier does not guarantee baggage on the same flight but will deliver on the same day. In such rare instances, where baggage is not on the same flight as the guest, the guest will be informed beforehand accordingly.
• On the seaplane departing guests will be transferred to the airport at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the international flight, with the latest departure from the resort at approximately 16:00 Hrs.
• Transfer rates are subject to change if fuel price increases.
• Please provide arrival/departure details for all bookings at least 7 days prior to the guest’s arrival to guarantee transfers on time.

Domestic Flight + Speedboat

• The resort can be reached by a 20-minute Domestic flight and 30 30-minute speedboat ride from Dharavandhoo Domestic Airport.
• Domestic transfers are scheduled one day prior to the travel date and therefore, certain connections may not be available.
• Each guest (excluding infants) is allowed 25 kg of checked luggage and 5 kg of hand luggage. Any excess baggage is charged a cost of US$3.00 and is payable at the airport.
• For Domestic flight transfer, the price includes the use of the Lounge at the Domestic Terminals.
• Please provide arrival/departure details for all bookings at least 7 days prior to the guest’s arrival to guarantee transfers on time.
• Any cancellation less than 24 hours and a no-show will incur 1-way transfer charges. Transfer rates are subject to change if fuel prices increase and a surcharge is levied by the carrier.
