We had the pleasure of experiencing the enchanting Joy Island by The Cocoon Collection resort, and the positive aspects truly stood out, beginning with the exceptional service provided by our island host, Ashraf. His commitment to ensuring a memorable stay went above and beyond, creating a personalized and welcoming atmosphere. His unwavering dedication was evident through his constant availability via WhatsApp, almost 24/7. Ashraf consistently went above and beyond, tirelessly working to find the best solutions in all circumstances, ensuring a personalized and memorable experience.
The food market at the resort was nothing short of amazing, offering a delightful array of culinary delights that added a flavorful touch to our stay. The staff, including Faalih, Leeman, and Bavani, consistently exuded friendliness, making interactions warm and enjoyable. Faalih, as the guest relationship manager, surprised us with a complimentary lunch on our late checkout day, showcasing a thoughtful gesture that added an extra layer of hospitality. Leeman's friendly and helpful demeanor, coupled with his amusing stories, made interactions enjoyable and created a welcoming atmosphere. Bavani, with her infectious smile, brought joy to our days, and her delightful cakes were a delicious treat.
The breathtaking views of the surrounding water further heightened the overall experience, creating a serene and picturesque backdrop.
One outstanding aspect was the outstanding frequency, efficiency, and quality displayed by the housekeeping/bartenders team. Their attention to detail was evident, culminating in a delightful surprise on the last day when Zidanh at the Palm Beach brought our routine coffee without even having to be prompted.
Engaging in extra activities such as diving, water sports, and yoga proved to be a highlight, with the resort providing excellent options to enhance our overall enjoyment. This commitment to diverse experiences significantly enriched our stay.
While these positives were noteworthy, there were some areas where the resort could improve. The beach beds for overwater villas lacked the comfort of mattresses, and the limited vegetation resulted in insufficient shade around the resort. Although the breakfast offerings were generally good, a bit more variety would be appreciated. Inclusion of coconuts in the all-inclusive package and a wider selection of classic cocktails for all-inclusive drinks could further enhance the guest experience.
Despite these areas for improvement, our overall stay at Joy Island by The Cocoon Collection resort was characterized by the warmth of the staff, the beauty of the surroundings, and the thoughtful attention to detail that made it a memorable experience.
