We just returned from an 8 night stay at Kudadoo. I would have given Kudadoo a higher star rating if it was an option.
The trip was seamless. Upon picking up our luggage and going through customs we were met by a Kudadoo representative that took us to the sea plan check in, then off to the sea plane lounge. The lounge was very comfortable and there is even a deck outside to sit and watch the sea planes take off and land. After a short stay we were whisked off to our sea plane. It was a quick 45 minute flight, with one stop. We landed in between our resort and it’s sister resort, and were met by our butler, Anas.
We had contact with Anas several weeks before we left for our trip. He is incredible. He thought of everything….meals, excursions, spa treatment. Anas made this trip extra special for us. I cannot say enough good things about him.
The food at Kudadoo is awesome. I could go on and on about the food and cocktails—. It is so hard to believe how fantastic it is. It is the best my husband and I have ever had on a vacation. There were so many choices. We choose to have breakfast and lunch our room, and it never disappointed. In the evening we would go the retreat for a cocktail and dinner. You have to try their homemade ice cream it is to die for.
We had dinner one evening art 5.8. It is something everyone should do. There is nothing like having dinner underwater and watching the fish, turtles, and eagle ray swim by.
The sommelier was fantastic. We enjoyed a wonderful cheese, meat, and wine tasting with him. He brought out one of the best goat cheeses I have ever had. He was always available at dinner to give a great wine recommendation. He is also so knowledgeable about wine and cheese, when you visit, make sure you spend some time with him.. for us - we learned so much from him.
The spa is everything you could ever want. The views from the treatment rooms over the ocean are breathtaking. The spa therapists were wonderful. I think we had almost every treatment possible, and not one did disappoint. My husband also had his first facial, and now he is hooked.
We did serval tours, snorkeling, night snorkeling, jet skiing, private island, and charter the Bella to go swim the the mantas. Each one was great. But chartering the Bella was out of this world. The boat and crew are amazing. We were so fortunate to snorkel with the mantas. They are huge amazing creatures. We also were able to snorkel with the turtles and visit a local island. 8 hour was just the right amount of time that we were not rushed, and were able to see everything.
The beach is great. There are cabanas and beach chairs. Anas kindly set them up for us every time we used the beach. For the most part it was our private beach as there was no one there but us.
The room is more than beautiful. The outdoor shower was great. The amenities in the room were over the top. The bed is big and comfortable. There are even massage tables in the room if you want a massage in the room, vs the spa. And the pool….it is large and just…WOW- what a view. We can also easily snorkel from your room if you would like.
The only bad was that were forced too return to reality and head home.
Thank you Ali Shameen for running such a amazing resort. It would not be the same without out your attention to detail. Also, thank you for the astronomy lessons, my husband loved them.
This is a small resort, which we personally love. The attention to detail for EVERYTHING is over the top. The entire staff always thought of everything and more that they could do for us. There are too many people to thank that I can’t name everyone names….but thank you to the chefs, the waiters, the bar staff, housekeeping, the spa ladies, the tour crew, and so many more. After 8 nights at Kudadoo you were no longer the staff— you became our friends.
We cannot wait for our next visit to Kudadoo.
