Cocoon Maldives is located on the pristinely stunning island of Ookolhufinolhu in Lhaviyani Atoll. The property is designed by Daniele Lago, chairman and designer of Lago, with four coral bungalows. Each features a private porch, outdoor bathroom and draped bathtub. The resort’s private beach area is an ideal spot for sunbathing, as are its lush gardens where a day bed awaits anyone wishing to rest their feet and tuck into a book.
The rooms are all ground level and open directly onto short sandy beaches. What’s more, all 150 rooms feature thoughtful touches such as bathrobes and slippers, along with conveniences such as sofa beds and sitting areas. All rooms are surrounded by green vegetation, clearly visible through the glass partitions that connect with the open-air bathrooms, which in itself creates a sense of connection with nature, in cool contrast with the expanse of the turquoise sea.
The resort offers an OCTOPUS Restaurant with buffet meals, a coffee shop, and beach bars. For theme nights, frequent dining at the main restaurant introduces you to the cuisine and cultures of the world. Dine by candlelight on a snowy beach to the rising lovers’ moon in the MANTA Restaurant, dedicated to A la Carte dining in the lagoon. Seafood at the PALM SQUARE is grilled and special beef at the KURUM-Bar located next to the Kids Club.
Step into Cocoon Maldives, where rejuvenation is taken to a whole new level. Blending traditional and holistic healing arts with the islands’ genuine charm and culture, Cocoon’s experienced spa therapists offer a wide range of therapeutic treatments from various corners of the world to ensure a sublime spa experience.
The resort is a scenic, 30-minute seaplane journey from Velana International Airport in Malé.
