Everything started in 2014 when I was planning a trip to an exotic country. I started to search and found that it’s possible relatively cheap to go to Maldives and Seychelles. But at that time I decided to go to the Maldives as Seychelles was more expensive. That decision changed my life forever.
In March 2015 I visited the local island Rasdhoo (I’ve been there 10 times in total!). Very little information you could find on the web at that time because budget Maldives had started only 2 years before – in 2012. So while standing on Rasdhoo, I got an idea to start a blog about budget traveling to the Maldives.
When I came back home, a new project about budget Maldives had started. It was a year when I looked for myself – what I want to do in my life. For 7 months I’ve tried 10 different areas and positions work! But I stuck with the Maldives.
It was a challenge to write about islands, tips, and tricks. So I started to connect with guest house owners and ask them to give me some information about islands, things to do and etc. Very few hotels responded, but in 6 months I’ve posted information about the most popular islands. Good start! I even became friends with one of the hotel managers.
A bit later she offered me a job in the Maldives in a local travel agency. Another challenge for me as I haven’t been thinking about living in the Maldives. So I accepted. I’d say, it was one of the best decisions in my life as I’ve met people from around the world! For almost 1,5 years I’ve visited 15 local islands and 10 resorts. It allows me to get to know the country and people from the inside. During that time, I’ve met a lot of small hotels, yacht, and resort owners
In May 2017 I left the islands and started to help people to get the best experience in the Maldives. Since that time guests from 65 countries have used my service to get unforgettable holidays.
