Seaplane/Domestic flight + speedboat

Upon arrival, guests will be accompanied by our airport hosts at the arrival hall. All guests will have access to the lounge facility at either the seaplane or domestic terminal, depending on the booked mode of transfer. Every effort will be made to transfer the guest to the resort within 3 hours of arriving at the lounge subject to vendor services. Transfer mode and must be specified in the booking request.
Last minute (72 hours or less prior to the international flight landing) mode of transfer change/ cancellation is subject to an extra charge of USD 200 per person including children (including services and the rate difference). No-shows will be charged 100% of the applicable transfer charges
Airport transfer via Seaplane or Domestic Flight + Speedboat: free of charge for Infants (under 2 years).
Private seaplane transfer can be arranged on request. Rates are subject to change and therefore need to be reconfirmed with the resort.
The baggage allowance is 20kg and 5kg hand luggage for both services. Any excess baggage is chargeable and will have to be paid directly to the Seaplane carrier at USD 5.00 per kg and to the Domestic carrier at USD 0.75 per kg.
The resort must receive full flight details at least 7 days prior to the arrival in order to guarantee the transfer seats. Failure to do so may result in additional waiting time at the airport lounge or overnight in Malé at the client’s additional cost.
Departing guests will be transferred to the airport at least 3 hours in advance of the scheduled departure time of the international flight.
Airport transfer via seaplane is available during daylight hours only. Any change to this will be communicated along with any change to conditions.
Guests arriving on international flights will be required to check–in at the TMA seaplane counter in the international arrivals terminal before 16:00hrs in order to be able to transfer to the resort on the same day or they will require overnight accommodation in Malé (under their own arrangement). They will be transferred to the lodge the following morning. Domestic transfer can be arranged subject to availability.
Guests departing Malé on an international flight prior to 09:00hrs will be transferred late the previous afternoon. Accommodation can be booked in Malé at an additional cost.
Seaplane rates are subject to increase if a fuel surcharge or any other new tax is imposed.
Return seaplane or domestic flight + speedboat transfers will automatically be booked with the resort at the time of booking unless other instructions are explicitly stated in the booking request.
Seaplane and domestic flights are operated by a third party with rates shown currently at the time of this contract. Any changes in the rates by the carriers will be immediately applied to all guest fares. Transfer rates are subject to change if any new tax changes or fees are imposed.
Sun Siyam Vilu Reef reserves the right to alter the method of transport, in case of cancellations or alterations arising from this clause. Should we need to rebook a guest from Seaplane to a Domestic flight for any reason mentioned in this agreement; the difference in flight charge will be refunded to the client.
Flight times are confirmed to the Resort by the carriers prior to the travel date and will be advised to the guests on the evening of departure and will be advised to the guests upon arrival in Male’.
The transfer may not always be available at a designated time and the Resort is not liable for any compensation arising for such Delay. All flights have a fixed schedule. The waiting time at Male Airport cannot be confirmed in advance.
Seaplane transfer may have a possible stop en route.

Superb stay in Sun siyam villa

Very nice and comfortable resort. We stayed in beach villa as well as Aqua villa. Staff were very courteous. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Our host Thaiseen was very helpful. I would like to specially mention Vijay, shakil and bhuvan, they did excellent job.

Best Stay in Maldives - Vilu Reef Resort

I visited Maldives for 5 days and stayed in Sun Siyam Vilu Reef resorts. We stayed in a beach villa with an amazing view to the serene blue water beach. The island had a lot of water activities to do, along with outdoor game options like Table Tennis, Batminton and Lawan Tennis. It had four different restuarants offering different cuisine other than the food which was part of our package deal. Special shoutout to the staff of the resort for their hospitality and warm gestures. The Chef's are handson with offering you dishes and cuisines the way you prefer. Chef @Manish Singh would always prepare a nice Indianised Pasta on request for us. The waiters are very warm and would always be there to help you with all your orders and request. Special thanks to @Dilshad who would wait our table quite often for his warm gesture. We thoroughly loved our Maldives trip and Sun Siyam Vilu Reef Resort made it a relaxing one.

Truly Wonderful

My husband and I had an incredible honeymoon experience at Sun Siyam. All staff were wonderful but Didi, Sudeera, Soffath, Reddy and Pavel made our experience one of a kind. We hope to be able to come back one day!

Great stay!

A great trip overall. Clean and safe place, something you need when your travel with family. The highlight of the trip was the food and restaurants, Aqua and Spice. The executive chef, Nitin Jain, did a great job in connecting with guests and making sure everyone is comfortable and relaxed. A special thanks to Chef Vikas Mehra for his hospitality and leading a great team in his restaurant, Spice. This is a Indian restaurant and a must visit for atleast one your meals during your stay. Also, thanks to Chef Manish from the Aqua restaurant. Another mention I cannot do without are the friendly yet polite servers, Shayan and Vijay from the Aqua restaurant. Thanks to all of you for making our stay memorable.

Recommended for a relaxed vacation

Amazing place to relax. Stayed in sun aqua pool villa and reef villa and both were extremely good. Good ambience, good food n drinks and amazingly courteous staff. Special shout out to Manish and Shayan. They were superbly helpful and courteous. Manish made our dining experience wonderful and I really enjoyed discussing IPL with shayan during dinner.
