Seaplane/Domestic flight + speedboat
Upon their arrival, our airport hosts will be there to assist guests at the arrival hall. All guests will enjoy access to the lounge facilities, which are available at either the seaplane or domestic terminal, depending on their chosen mode of transfer. We will make every possible effort to ensure guests are transferred to the resort within 3 hours of their arrival at the lounge, pending vendor services. Please specify your preferred transfer mode when making your booking request.
For transfer changes or cancellations made within 72 hours or less prior to the international flight landing, an additional fee of USD 200 per person will apply, which includes both service charges and any rate differences. In the case of no-shows, the full applicable transfer charges will be incurred.
Airport transfers via seaplane or domestic flight, combined with a speedboat, are free of charge for infants under 2 years of age. If you wish to arrange a private seaplane transfer, you can make a request. Please note that transfer rates are subject to change, and it is advisable to confirm the current rates with the resort.
The baggage allowance for both services is 20kg, with an additional 5kg allowance for hand luggage. Any excess baggage will incur additional charges, payable directly to the seaplane carrier at a rate of USD 5.00 per kilogram and to the domestic carrier at a rate of USD 0.75 per kilogram.
To ensure smooth transfer arrangements, the resort kindly requests guests to provide complete flight details no less than 7 days before their arrival. This is necessary to secure seating for the transfer. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in extended waiting times at the airport lounge or, at the client’s expense, an overnight stay in Malé.
Departing guests will be transported to the airport a minimum of 3 hours ahead of their international flight’s scheduled departure time. Please note that seaplane transfers are only available during daylight hours, and any changes to this schedule will be communicated along with any relevant conditions.
For guests arriving on international flights, check-in at the TMA seaplane counter in the international arrivals terminal must be completed by 16:00hrs on the same day to facilitate a transfer to the resort. Alternatively, arrangements for an overnight stay in Malé, at the guest’s expense, can be made, with a transfer to the resort the following morning. Domestic transfers are also an option, subject to availability.
In the event that guests have international flights departing from Malé before 09:00hrs, transfers will be scheduled for the late afternoon of the previous day. Accommodation in Malé can be arranged at an additional cost if needed.
Seaplane rates may increase in response to fuel surcharges or the introduction of new taxes.
Upon booking, the resort will automatically arrange either a seaplane or domestic flight plus speedboat transfer, unless specific alternative instructions are provided in the booking request.
The third-party operators manage seaplane and domestic flights, and the rates quoted in this agreement are current at the time of its signing. Any rate adjustments made by these operators will be applied immediately to all guest fares. Transfer rates may change if new taxes or fees are introduced.
Amari Raaya Resort reserves the right to modify the mode of transportation in the event of cancellations or alterations resulting from this clause. In cases where a guest’s booking needs to be changed from a seaplane to a domestic flight for any reason outlined in this agreement, the price difference in the flight charges will be refunded to the client.
Flight schedules are confirmed by the carriers before the travel date. These schedules will be communicated to guests on the evening before departure and upon arrival in Male’.
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, which may include extreme weather conditions, aircraft or equipment issues, operational requirements, or other reasons leading to the cancellation of a flight, we will extend the option to our valued guests of either receiving a refund or rescheduling their transfer. Please note that any additional expenses incurred due to delays, cancellations, or alterations arising from this situation will not be the responsibility of the resort.
We are committed to making every possible effort to ensure the smooth delivery of our services to our mutual guests. While it is not obligatory for the hotel to arrange accommodation in such cases, we prioritize the safety and security of all involved. Therefore, we will provide assistance by offering the services of our sister property, Olhuveli Beach & Spa Maldives. Please be aware that the accommodation offered may not be of the same standard as originally booked by the guests. The available accommodation will be based on the run-of-the-house arrangement, taking into consideration the resort’s existing operations and clientele.
It’s important to note that transfer availability may not always align with designated times, and the resort cannot be held liable for any compensation arising from such delays. All flights operate on fixed schedules, and the waiting time at Male’ Airport cannot be confirmed in advance. Additionally, seaplane transfers may include possible stops en route for operational reasons.
