Amari Havodda

We have just returned from two amazing weeks in the Maldives staying at the Amari Havodda. This was our second visit having first been to the island in 2019. We were planning to return sooner but sadly like everyone else global events prevented us from doing this. We are so grateful to have finally had the opportunity to return to this beautiful island. As we stepped off the speedboat we were greeted by Laurent the general manager, Karen and Murooj who accompanied us to the reception area where a dolphin made out of rice and a welcome back message had been laid out on a table for us. We immediately knew that this was going to be an incredible holiday. We were taken to our villa, 320 which to us is located on the best side of the island. The bed had a welcome home message laid out on it, that had been made out of palm leaves, and there was a personalised welcome on the television. We were accompanied on this trip by our youngest daughter and her partner and they were able to see for themselves that everything we have been telling them about the Amari was true. On our first visit to the buffet we were introduced to Amit the head chef who took time to show our daughter all of the food options that were available while at the same time offering to make her something else if she did not find anything that she liked. We were also introduced to Suresh and Rajesh, the food and beverage managers. Rajesh having been on the island when we first visited. These gentlemen went out of their way to make sure that our stay was a memorable one. A couple of days later, while in the bar, we spoke to Vikas who remembered us from our first stay and came down to the jetty to say goodbye, which was very much appreciated by us all. The Maldives and the Amari in particular are stunning but what makes a holiday magical are the people who you meet as well as the memories that the staff help you to create. We have come home with memories that we will cherish for a lifetime and for that we will forever be grateful to the people we have named and the other members of staff who truly went out of their way to give us a holiday to remember. The staff at Amari constantly strive to make sure that they exceed your expectations and in our case that was exactly what they did for us. From our arrival at the Jetty to our departure after our fortnight stay at this gorgeous resort was an overwhelming experience that we will never forget and will hold a special place in our hearts forever. There is nothing negative that you can say about this resort as they will go out of their way to make it the most memorable and perfect holiday you could ever wish for. Nothing is too much trouble and they genuinely want you to enjoy and savour every minute on this beautiful island. A special thank you to Suresh, Amit, Rajesh, Vikas, Karen, Murooj and everyone else we got to know over our stay. You are all incredible and made our holiday the best we have had so far that we found it so sad to leave when we did but have lots of wonderful memories that will always be with us and cherish. It was our second time to the island as we last visited in 2019 and it still retained its magical plethora. It was also a lovely experience for our youngest daughter and her partner to have their own first hand experience of Maldives and especially the Amari and they too were blown away by it all from the reception, accommodation, food and most importantly the staff. Our eldest daughter and her husband have now booked to visit the island for a fortnight stay in June 2024 and I can honestly say how envious but extremely happy they have chosen too to come here as I know they will be mesmerised by it all and will enjoy every minute. I could go on and on writing on my stay at the Amari and the attentive staff, accommodation, snorkelling, relaxing and chilling out but you will need to experience for yourselves so don’t hesitate to book, everyone at the Amari will make sure you come away with incredible memories. Best trip ever. The food here is brilliant. Multiple options. All the staff are happy and greeting us. Our host Nagesh gave us instructions of the villa and always ask if there is anything he can help with. Karen zhan who are from SiChuan China also helps a lot. Since its always fell nice to talk to someone from home. The view, wooaaaal . One has to be there to experience. Pics can not show 1% of the beauty. We went snorkeling, met two sea turtles 🐢, some baby sharks and dolphins. That was a blast. The staffs of dive center are amazing too. Malloof (I am sure I spelled wrongly) he is sooo nice and took a lots of photos for us when we went to sandbanks. This resort have two photographers who are professional. One of them got best photo of our trip. Oh I also got a handmade flower from one of the staffs on jetty. It was made of some leaf. Love it. I am taking it home with me. It gonna be my Souvenir of the trip.I also tried the spa , Thai massage, supper relaxing. Many thanks to all. Hope to be back in no time.

Amari was great! We enjoyed everything! Our host Murooj was so friendly and competently!! We had a wonderful stay with his hospitality! And our roomboy Shabaz was also very nice and competently! Benard, our barkeeper was also so friendly and he did a very good job! Thank you so much!

We love the island, resort, restaurants, foods, facilities, pretty much everything. Very professional!! Make your booking and just let them arrange everything for you! Just need a good weather 😉 Or like us, book the house above the water with pool, don’t mind the rains
