If you re going through KL international airport and don’t have to explore the city before your next flight and still need a nice place to rest and freshen up, Then this is most definitely the place for you. Everything a traveler might need for a brief stay in between flight and reasonably priced.

Great over night stay on way home to Australia from Maldives. Large family room and hotel had 5 star feel. Staff helpful and room service quick and good food. Highly recommend this hotel for people in transit.

Most airport hotels are clean and comfortable but no frills and pretty basic. Not this one. It is like a five star city hotel with all the trappings of a city venue, spacious dining areas overlooking gardens and fish ponds and the most beautiful swimming pool complete with waterfall and jacuzzi. The window frames in the rooms are wide with double or triple glazing, keeping out any noise. We had a view of the runway with planes taking off but couldn’t hear them. We found the restaurant menu a bit ‘opulent’ and didn't seem to make allowances for folk breezing in and out quickly and might just want a chicken caesar wrap or sandwich. There’s a buffet service as well, which we, personally, found a bit heavy for lunch with the outdoor temperature at 36 degrees, but no doubt would suit some.

This hotel was chosen between leaving Siem Reap and getting back to the UK on our whirlwind trip around Asia. Its location is ideal at KLIA as it is right on the airport so there is no messing around with taxis, trains and the like… After a straightforward check-in, we were allocated room 0465. It is a bright airy room which served it’s purpose well for our last night. All the usual mod-cons you need and there was a personal message on the TV for you which was a nice touch. Getting used to all the touch button lighting and blinds etc was an art form, but it worked! If you use the mini bar, you have to ‘unlock’ it at reception with a credit card. With regards food we had a bar snack type meal which was very nice and well priced. There are a few restaurants and the ‘buffet’ style one was extremely busy the night we were there. The only thing I would say is be careful with how much you drink as you might be shocked on the price of your ‘tab’. It was RM58 for a pint of ‘Tiger’ which in the UK works out to about £10-11!! This is probably the most I have paid for a pint of lager, but they still went down well though…. As a side note you are not far from the terminal so there are plenty of options for food. Staff were very pleasant and helpful at the hotel! The ‘Malaysian’ hospitality again shone through during our stay. Overall a great, restful stay before a 13 hour flight to the UK! The hotel has ‘golf carts’ which take you to and from the hotels front door to the lifts on floor 2 of KLIA. This is a great service if you are carrying a few cases. The drivers are friendly and helpful and this is also a free service which is big bonus. If you fancy getting in your ‘steps’ in though, that is your other option. There are plenty of facilities at the hotel including a swimming pool which is great. If I was being honest, I think a self serving laundry would be a good idea and a helpful addition in the hotel. Sending laundry away and getting it turned round on a one nights stay is near impossible. It can be done but it’s an extra 50% on the bill! There is also a little convenience store and a hairdresser on the hotels entrance which is helpful. This hotel is convenient pure and simple! KL is a huge airport and it is a big transit hub and the hotel plays a big part in traveller’s getting rest between flights. If you are flying on ‘low cost’ airlines and you land at KLIA2, take the KLIA Express train to KLIA for the grand total of RM2 each (about 40p). This is easy to use with big convenient lifts both ends and there is always staff on hand to assist you. As a airport hotel, you won’t go far wrong with the Sama Sama…..

We stayed here in a deluxe room with a 6 month old and toddler. Check in was quick and easy and when we got to the room, there were biscuits and a note thanking us for our return custom. We had club privileges, but as the lounge wasn’t open, we were told to go downstairs and order our drinks and snacks. When we did, ordering was difficult as staff didn’t seem to understand what we were entitled to, plus their English wasn’t good enough to understand us. We eventually got our drinks and snacks, but as everything took so long (one member of staff had to go and ask at least three people to explain what we meant and then disappeared for a long time to get our glass of wine), we were only able to have one drink before the end of “happy hour”. This was really disappointing as I would have loved a second glass of wine. Breakfast the next morning was great, though and was really tasty. The staff were super accommodating of our toddler and infant and there was enough variety to satisfy my daughter who has allergies. My only complaint would be that the roti canai wasn’t fluffy at all, but instead had no layers and was crispy instead of soft. That said, I would definitely return if we need a hotel stay in KL again.
