Transfer

seaplane

  • The baggage allowance for the seaplane is 20kg and 5 kg hand luggage per person. Excess baggage is subject to availability at the time of check-in to the seaplane and at an extra charge.
  • Travel details must be received by the Resort 7 days prior to arrival in order to guarantee a transfer.
  • Seaplane transfer to the Resort is available only during daylight hours (06:00 hrs to 16:00hrs).

    A unique Maldives resort, Maafushivaru is an island that epitomizes all that one dreams of when thinking of the Maldives. With its small island charm, lush vegetation surrounded by powder-white soft sand, and a house reef that a myriad of tropical fish call home, the island is just over 350 meters in length and can be walked in just 10 minutes and a bit! All 50 rooms feature thoughtful touches such as espresso makers and bathrobes, plus complimentary wireless Internet access and LCD TVs with DVD players. Other amenities available to guests include balconies or patios, iPod docking stations, and minibars. Among the options for fine dining in the Maldives, is our buffet restaurant – the ‘Cuisine Gallery’. There is also a coffee shop ‘Library Lounge’ which is open all day. The resort is a 25-minute seaplane journey from Malé International Airport.

  • Guests arriving after that will require an overnight stay before they can be transferred to the island the next morning.
  • Seaplanes from the Resort to the airport (on departure) can only connect with international flights departing from 09:00hrs onwards.
  • Booking accommodation for the first night in such cases is at the discretion of the Contract Partner.
  • The last seaplane transfer from the Resort is in the late afternoon. Guests departing on evening or late-night flights will need to take this transfer back to the airport.
