We stayed at the Saii for 4 nights in November. Our 4th visit within a year, and a special Birthday treat for my wife.
We were one of the first off the plane and through immigration, and the speedboat was ready for us by the time we had made our way to the desk. We were immediately welcomed back by the team!
Transfer was quick and easy – the next time we saw our luggage it was in our room. Check in was quick and easy as usual, and we where whisked off to our over water villa. Muja our concierge was fantastic as always, so friendly, and helpful, always only a WhatsApp away, always checking if we were okay and needed anything, and checked all our reservations for us on arrival.
Our villa was amazing, spacious, and views to die for, with a lovely message on our bed, and a bottle of champagne to celebrate – definitely worth the upgrade from a beach room. We have previously stayed in a beach room, and a beach room with a pool, but for a first holiday as a couple in 20 years, this was amazing. It’s a little out of the way, but we just planned our day better, and always took everything we needed for the day when we left, to save the hassle of going back and forth.
Breakfast was always good – nice coffee, and we never went hungry.
The Miss Olive Oyl pool bar was amazing as always – Akhil, Kyn, Hetti and the team are always so personable and friendly – lovely to catch up, and they always take the time to make sure you are happy with everything and have a chat. The food and drinks are always so good here – even if it’s just a pizza for lunch.
The watersports team again are fantastic, Muhamed, Shafani, Captain Knife and Jim - friendly, helpful, and the best snorkelling trips we have done – saw turtles, eagle rays, mobula rays, puffer fish, and thousands of beautiful exotic fish. We paid for a private excursion to shark point, and swam with 20-30 nursing sharks, all around 2-3 meters long, and giant sting rays – the most incredible experience, and we felt safe the whole time. We have been here 4 times, and this is the first time we have done this – we would highly recommend this trip, and will ensure we go again!
The highlight of our stay (outside of the sharks!) is always the Hard Rock Café! They have the most amazing team – JL, John, Jaypee, RJ, Yappee, Abi, Sundari, Akeem, Nish, Faariu, Lola, Kai – and the most amazing bands – Deviate, Equatic Vibe and Project Groove. The team truly make us feel like part of the family – you never see a guest unhappy, they all work so hard to make everyones visit special, and we had 4 nights of dancing to the YMCA and Mr Brightside, amongst many other songs. They made a special effort for my wifes Birthday, with a cake, and a song on stage.
Our holiday was truly memorable, one we definitely never forget. The Saii and Hard Rock Café team are part of our family, and they will be friends for life – the resort is like no other we have ever been to, and it is truly special, not just because of the views, the marine life, the weather, or the accommodation, but because each and every person that you meet.
